Stan Williams I have been using the SLO VA for over a year now and have had nothing but OUTSTANDING service, ALL the staff have treated me well. I feel that the VA care is superior compared to the outside public medical care in reference to appointment schedualing, reminders and proptness. I have only used a couple doctors and nurses and they are spot on. I will continue to use the VA services.

McCutcheon -PIMENTEL JULIA PEN “JULIE” Alittle confusing trying to find an entrance that was opened on the weekend. Security check through emergency room was crazy just to visit someone. Felt like I was going through airport security check. Couldnt take my lighter in, got my ID scanned, got a visitor pass with my information and photo printed and stuck to my shirt. The only thing missing was the walk through Xray machine scanner and a pat down. Im still tripping out on how much information is collected and kept to profile us on systems. The hallways were confusing the way they curved around and the lack on Signage telling you where your going. I think I had to ask directions three times before I finally found the room. Staff were nice and helpful though. They were kind to my husband who was the patient.

Casey Bachant I gave birth at this hospital because my OBGYN is in the building next to it and delivers at Sierra.I came into the hospital having pain in my chest while I was a week from giving birth and waited in the waiting room for an hour. I did like my actual doctor but did not like the midwife who was on shift for my birth. She did not listen to my requests during labor. I ended up having an emergency c section as did the other women who were there that night (that’s a pretty odd coincidence in my opinion.) I stayed for 5 days after my c section. The first nurse we had was giving me pain medication that apparently the other nurses did not agree with. I simply told the next nurse what the previous one gave me and she told me they don’t do that. This caused me to get frustrated with the new nurse because I just had major surgery and was trying to take care of my baby, not figure out medication. Other than that the nurses were nice and helpful during my recovery. I did have to come back to Sierra as my baby had a fever. When the er doctor saw my baby he saw that there was blood on her ear drum and accused me of sticking a trip into her ear canal for some odd reason. Then he asked me if she had vaccinations and then went on to ask me what month they are given to an infant because apparently he was unaware. He pressure me into doing a flu swab on my baby because he felt like it was so important even when I asked to do a bladder infection check first, he stated I should do them at the same time or I’d be waiting around double the amount of time so I reluctantly agreed. The bladder infection check came back clear and he then said she just had an ear infection. Gave me some prescriptions and said we could leave before the flu results came back because it wouldn’t change the result of what he was giving me. So why was he pressuring me so much to do the swab if I left without any results?? Then my fiance asked what temp fever we should bring her in at and he stated 106.00. That is appalling to me. Not to mention when my fiance went to pick up the prescription from the pharmacy the pharmacist asked who this was because he wrote one of the prescriptions wrong. He wrote it for an adult, not an infant. It’s as if this “doctor” had no experience at all. I will not be going back to this hospital, it’s a joke.

Kuster Judy (EmeraldSprite) My initial visit was with Dr Kia. Dr. Kia moved to a different position. My second pain management Dr is Dr. Othman. Both are highly recommended. They both were and are excellent Drs and concerned about my needs. I never felt rushed or nervous in any way. Thanks to them I was able to get the necessary treatment to address my pain.

Lolen East One of the most unprofessional experiences with a physician that I’ve ever had in my life. Severe back pain and doctor Kuang saw me once in person and then two more times via TeleMed. I also received two injections from him, which didn’t help at all. That’s not his fault I guess, but when I called to ask about the next step for my pain, because the medication I was on wasn’t working, I could not get a callback from his office manager or him. I left six messages over a period of a weeks time and every time I talked to one of the staff, they told me they left messages for the office manager and the doctor and that’s all they could do. They apologized profusely and I’m pretty sure they have to do that a lot because the doctor just doesn’t care enough to call his patients. The office staff was actually pretty nice to me and I could tell they had empathy for me and they felt bad because the doctor that is supposed to help patients with pain would not call his patients back. Finally on the sixth business day after leaving all my messages, I got a call from someone who said the doctor told her to call me and tell me that he would not discuss anything with me until my next appointment with him which was weeks away, and also would be after my pain medication ran out completely. In every message I left, I explained the urgency and how much pain I was in, but not once did I use foul language, yell or say anything except how much pain I was in. Yet after my last call to his office Dr. Kuang had the audacity to send me a letter telling me I was being discharged because of my unprofessionalism. I have no clue what he’s talking about but he really should not be allowed to practice pain management. He is horrible at it. I would advise anyone seeking truly professional pain management to look elsewhere.

allison carranza moreno I went there after going 3 times in a week and half. My hemoglobin was low but by the time i got there it was right above 7 so they sent me home. I went again after half my face swelled up, other side drooped, and my legs and feet swelled up. I waited 2 hours and I couldnt stand the pain of sitting there anymore and told the lady Id be back tomorrow hoping they werent so busy. I am a complicated case. Sierra Vista put in me in the hands of Dr wogu and he has ruined my life. I have no quality of life. Ive been on iv antibiotics for 5 years. He did so much damage to me and I could sit here and wrote about it, but thats not what my review is about. I went back like I told the lady I would and they were not busy so I got a room fairly quickly. The Dr did some blood work, did a catscan, and blood transfusion. They sent me home and I got a call the next day from a nurse telling me one of my culture came back and I have an infection in my blood. Now I already have Pseudomonas which is why I have to give myself iv meds 3x a day through my port. I asked if I was being admitted and he said he wasnt sure they just needed to redraw blood. I got there and of course they admitted me. I was told I would just be there a couple of days and I could go home. When I got into my room I had the worst nurse Ive ever had in all my years being hospitalized. I was venting on the phone with my mom and she came over and asked me if I wanted the paper to sign myself out against medical advice. I told her Im venting to my mom. I also showed her all the meds lie 5 times on my walgreens app and I finally had to write it on a piece of paper for her because she just couldnt get it right. Even after I wrote out the meds, dosage, and how many times a day I take each med she still had it wrong. She was very condescending and her name was something like fong. I also overheard her talking bad about me to another nurse right outside my door. So unprofessional. Im one of those that match energy so when she was acting like I was an huge inconvenience in her life well I matched her energy to a t. I asked her for a turkey sandwich and she told me we dont have those here. Which when I got my roomate the next day her nurse offered her turkey sandwiches multiple times. Any questions she responded incredibly rude. I never got a menu the first 2 days I was there. I was just served the worst tasting food Ive ever had. It was inedible. The day I left a girl finally came and told me what was for lunch and if I wanted to substitute for something else. An infectious disease Dr came and saw me and told me my last culture tested negative. I asked him if I could go home, because I was told I was only going To be there a could of days. He said he will see. Another Dr came in and asked him if I could go home and he said he would talk to the other Dr. And let me know at noon.well noon came and went and i asked to leave. Which they let me leave. I shouldnt be treated so horrible by their nurse. It should not take 2 days to get my medications right. Also, we should not be served with food we did not want and were not given options until 3 days in. I thought when tenant no longer owned it things woul get better but that didnt happen I also reached out to the patient advocacy months ago about what Dr wogu did to me and explained I have no quality of life and how Ive had put my kids in therapy because they are so scared Im going to die. Not one person ever reached back to me after I sent the email. So this told me they really do not really care about their patients. If you can avoid this hospital do so at all costs.

Amanda H. Our family is incredibly grateful for the exceptional care provided by Twin Cities Hospital during my grandma’s final days. The entire team made sure she was comfortable and well cared for, advocating for her every step of the way and working directly with our insurance to ease the process during such a difficult time. A special thank you to Crystal in the DOU and Ester in Med/Surg—both of whom went above and beyond to ensure my grandma was treated with compassion and dignity. Their kindness, attentiveness, and warmth made an incredibly painful time as easy as possible for both her and our family. We truly cannot thank them enough. We also want to recognize Kim, the charge nurse in the DOU, who was so kind to us one of the nights we were there. She brought us a comfort box and took the time to talk with us, offering support when we needed it most. The team also made sure we could stay in the room with my grandma, preparing a refreshment cart, a reclining chair, and warm blankets—small gestures that made a big difference in those final moments. One piece of feedback: the case manager (I didn’t catch her name) who came in to discuss insurance changes had a tone that felt a bit cold, especially given the fragile state of my grandma. While we understand these conversations are necessary, a bit more sensitivity in those moments would have been appreciated. Overall, we are deeply thankful to Twin Cities Hospital for their care, kindness, and support during such a difficult time.

Ken Bell Honestly should be zero stars. On March 28th I was discharged from rehabilitation. My discharge coordinator Jessica faxed over all necessary referrals and approvals from my Doctors on required medical equipment. It is now April 7 and I still have not received my equipment yet. My daughter had to purchase necessities or I’d be in a difficult situation. Every time we call it’s the same excuse, we are waiting on Dr approval. Approval has been faxed 3 times, Along with follow up calls. I’m to my wits end with this company, it’s like being stuck in a matrix of irresponsibility. No customer should endure this.

Kristin Sullivan Terrible customer service. They say theyll call and dont. My item is now a month overdue and they have no explanation other than, "were working on it." So typical of for profit healthcare in this country.

Alexis Lewis Horrible experience with Katrina Hirsig, fired her as my provider on the spot. The call centers and offices are not on the same page, it takes weeks to receive a call back, and be prepared to way 30m-1 hour past your appointment time, even if you’re first thing in the morning.

Vanessa Tambayong The WORST hospital I’ve ever gone to in my life. My biggest regret! They don’t even deserve a star at all. Is there an option to give them NEGATIVE STARS? I had to wait for 7 months to schedule a preventative care. And on the day of my appointment, I had to wait for over 3.5 hours just to be seen by the doctor. The doctor never followed up on my blood test result nor responded to my message. And their billing process is a nightmare. It took over a year to answer my multiple inquiries on the billing code and they accidentally sent me over to collection while I was waiting for their response with unanswered follow-ups. At the end, they still overcharged me. If you want to go to a healthcare provider which focuses on MONEY MAKING only, then go here. They don’t even care if you are dead or alive, as long as they take your money.

Angela Wetzel First appoitment of the day at 8:45 am and kept us waiting for over an hour! Extremely unprofessional. Rolled her eyes when I asked a question about delivery as it is my first child. Made very rude comments/jokes about a tattoo on my belly. The most unprofessional and rude DR I have had the displeasure of experiencing. She appeared more interested in making jokes then being a Dr or being professional. I do not recommend.

Terrnitup ! Wanted a female OBGYN doc as I was pregnant with my 4th child and found Vivian. She is a very caring, sweet, kind hearted to the point kind of chick. She doesnt sugar coat anything, very direct which is what I love about her. Vivian understands pregnancy and the body of a female as she is a mother. Side note: she does have gentle hands. She takes time to discuss options and if its a procedure needed she will explain it all so detailed and ask if I have any questions. Shes great. I recommend her. Such a honest up beat positive doctor. Glad shes in our community to serve families and bring life to one another through each delivery with her love. Thanks Vivian for being you.

Chelsea Goetsch I have never had an ultrasound before and the woman who operated it acted like I was not fast enough and confused why I didn’t know what was going on. She does them all the time and maybe she forgot that I came in because I was in PAIN. So it was really rude not giving me enough time just to get dressed. The exam was very bad as well she did not walk me through what she was doing so I was very surprised when she threw hot gel or whatever it was on me and then she wiped it off and decided to just do an internal one. After the exam she said to get dressed and come outside. And when I stood up there was lube basically dripping out of me. So I panicked and grabbed some paper towels at the sink to wipe myself , quickly since I was being rushed in the first place. And then she just opened the door to ask if everything was okay while I was still getting ready. It has been four/ five weeks and they still have not sent my results to my doctor who has requested them twice already. And I’m still in pain. One of the worst experiences I’ve had. At least it was clean.
