1 /5 Hailey Cassady: At 8 months pregnant I had this shop replace my catalytic converters, but the tech did not plug my o2 sensor back in after completion of the job. Once my vehicle started misfiring and barely driving, I looked underneath and found the wiring for the o2 sensor dangling- unplugged. I returned to the shop to have them double check for any issues caused by the o2 sensor dangling under the vehicle, and the owner stated an unplugged o2 sensor could not cause an engine to misfire. (This is completely false)
He also stated that when they remove o2 sensors on customer vehicles, they DO NOT unplug them from the wiring harness, they just twist up the wires while unscrewing the sensor from the converter, which could potentially cause o2 sensor wiring to fail or break. (Which is An expensive part to replace)
Completely unprofessional, wrong and lazy way to work on peoples vehicles. I can’t imagine what other “shortcuts” this shop has been willing to take while working on other aspects of the engine.
I do not recommend this shop to anybody that expects quality and precise work, as one should be able to do when in-trusting any shop with their livelihood.
