1 /5 Hannah Anderson: I was recommended this shop, but had a terrible experience coming alone as a young woman. I brought my own oil and filter for an oil change, something I do regularly. Not only did I call the shop 5 days in advance to confirm I could bring my own supplies, but when I walked into the shop and spoke with Robert, again he assured me I could use my own oil and filter. I walked down the street to get a coffee while I waited for my oil change. 25 minutes after dropping off my car, I got a call from Robert that I “did not have enough oil” and would be charged $15/quart for 2 quarts. I was confused because I thought I had enough, but I offered to quickly go buy more of my own oil and bring it to the shop, to which he responded “how would you even get there? You don’t have a car.” He went on to dismissively say they had “already started” the oil change and it was essentially too late, so he’d have to charge me for 2 quarts of their own oil. He said “this is why we don’t like customers bringing their own supplies.” I returned to the shop, to find that my car had not even moved from where I parked it! Robert was dishonest by leading me to believe he had already started my oil change, in order to create a false sense of urgency and sell me oil I didn’t even need in the first place. He displayed such a strong lack of integrity, and I’m glad he did not get the chance to work on my vehicle. I will not be returning to this shop.
