Hayward Convalescent hospital - Hayward (CA)

1 /5 Eneechii Branch: Some of the staff, SOME are good but the physical therapy department is fairly good. The problem is the other staff are rude and lazy. A lot of the patients are drug addicts getting high in the bathroom and allowed to do whatever they want. Guests sleeping overnight making noise you cant rest. Ive been to three different nursing homes this is the worst one Cant wait until Im released, Ill run into traffic before I come here again

5 /5 Angela Lacayo: Almost two years ago I had to place my Dad at Hayward convalescent and I dont regret my decision, Everyone has helped me in process and I see how happy my dad is. The entire staff is very nice, sweet, kind, helpful,friendly, I couldnt do it without them. My dad is well taken care of he enjoys his daily activities, he is singing, dancing, he loves the staff. My dad is always clean, They keep me updated with his progress, medication, etc. I am very happy to see my dad happy. Thank you everyone at Hayward Convalescent!! Gema E.

5 /5 Willa Tennant: I will give Hayward Convalescent 5 stars again because Hector and Salitha have been very supportive since my moms arrival (08/2017)...Like family to my mom. If I have an issue theyre very responsive/helpful. Val, the nursing director, was also helpful recently.

1 /5 Tee Dee: Im only giving 1star because its the only option. DO NOT BELIEVE THIS INFORMATION ON THEIR WEBSITE, ITS A LIE. The staff werent wearing mask on November 19,2020 and the adminastrator knew and refused to address it. Contact the Dept. Of Public Health and The CA Dept. Of Licensing to get factual information by requesting a Request for Public Information to be obtained the truth. This place owner operates a few facilities which are jeapordizing the HEALTH and SAFETY of the most VULNERABLE people. Incontinence care, infection control, communication is significantly deficient. The activities director is pleasant but, the activities are the same boring repetitive games etc. Hayward Convalescent Hospital was problematic prior to Covid-19, and its much worse. Recently, Channel 4 Kron-TV did a story on the facility which didnt cover the real story about this place. ALL REGULATORY AGENCIES FAILED TO ACT, THEY RESPONDED BY BEING REACTIVE. Its sad that these people are mandatory reporters but fail to di their due diligence. I will provide contact information soon. I dont want anyone to be duped by this facility.

1 /5 Ashley: If I could do zero stars I would. If you’re considering this place for a loved one then think twice. They did a horrible job on caring for my mom. She was neglected in her care and I was not notified of any changes in mood or care. I had to be the one to speak out there was something wrong with her and then they did something about it. Do not go here!
