Sally Park Lara is the best! I’ve been going to her for my nails for probably over a year now and I was so happy when she got her own salon space. She is so skilled at nails from shaping to nail art and my nails always stay perfect for so long.

Shelly Cono I used to see Lara at a different salon and was devastated when I found out she left. I was so happy when I found her on Google. She’s so talented and has good attention to detail. My nails last so long with her. Not that I would recommend it, but I’ve gone 7 weeks with no breakage before. It’s hard to find nail salons that know how to do Asian design styles, but Lara is very educated and seems to always understand how to execute the new trends. She is really careful with prep and doesn’t rush. She’s never clipped/hurt me before during prep. I also appreciate that the nails never come out looking very thick. I highly recommend!!

Emily Mathison Having moved to the area in the past year, I hadn’t yet found a go-to nail salon…but needed my nails done for my wedding!! I took the risk to go somewhere new for my wedding nails and I am SO happy I did. Mai did my manicure and Tiffany did my pedicure. I did a mini French tip gel for my fingers and a crisp white for my toes. Both were absolutely amazing. Fantastic selection of colors, beautiful space, and incredible care and attention to detail. All of my nails looked perfect! I actually didn’t take photos immediately after but I just took a photo two weeks later (after a wedding, honeymoon, lots of packing/unpacking) and they still look perfect. I already can’t wait to come back and am so happy to have found my new favorite nail salon and be done with the search!

Tequila W I have been going to this nail salon for many years now. It has changed ownership multiple times, likely due to the costs of rent in the area, but I just say this is by far the best management team. Brenda, the shop manager is so friendly! They cater to your needs, they provide EXCELLENT customer service and I always leave happy. It’s a relaxing atmosphere. The spa chairs are top of the line, it’s clean, and they use the disposable bags in the door spa to reduce the chance of spreading bacteria/infection. They have a loyalty card that allows for a discount after so many visits. The salon has so many colors and they’re good a making suggestions on services if you are unsure of what to get. They also offer waxing services and they do great work. Depending on the service it comes with a foot and leg massage and spreading wax. They’re prices are reasonable but competitive. I recommend giving them a try. You won’t be disappointed.

She always ensures Im comfortable and never hurts me. The salon is very clean, they are quick, and the gel polish lasts forever! Highly recommend!

Vanita Green Walked in to get a full gel x set and pedicure. Since it was my first time, they let me know about their 20% off coupon. Everyone was so nice and they offer free drinks (alcohol as well). Tina did both services and was so kind throughout the process. I wasn’t sure what design I wanted on my nails and she had a bunch of examples on her phone. I picked one and let her have some freedom on the design as well. I will definitely come back since everyone was so friendly and they have a stamp card (you get a stamp for each service and when you reach 10 services, you get $20 off)

Jean McCormack The best nail salon. I wash my hands multiple times per day in healthcare amd love to garden..and Thuy does the best job of making my battered hands presentable. I have known her for 10yrs now. Thuy has clients that have been with her for 30yrs, a testament about how fantastic her service is. Thuy books up fast so I always book my next appointment the same day as the current appointment. Thuy is very helpful when trying to accommodate ones schedule.

She has attention to detail (I’m picky) and is always learning new techniques. She is also very careful with removal of dip manicures so that my nails are never damaged. I like how clean and simple the nail shop looks. The price is fair to me (compare to San Francisco) plus they have cute add-on spa feature such as pumpkin latte lotion or this peppermint oil during the manicure massage. Sandy was fun to talk to and she made my nails look super cute! They have tons of gel nail color and cool designs! They really focus on toxic-free and natural products. I would definitely come back!

Jiwon Lee left me with a giant hole in my nail that will take weeks to grow out. this is what happens if i paint nail polish over my screwed nails edit: the younger ladies are fine. the older ladies have pretty bad eyesight and should not be doing nails at that age. both times i have gotten them done they have done something bad, like ripping out all my cuticles and causing 1~2 weeks of bleeding or dremeling my entire nail away

coco svindland I was in Palo Alto for a trip and needed my nails done so I came here. What I can tell you is that Michelle is so amazing!!! I called her in the morning and she got me in quickly! I also was able to text her the color and length I wanted beforehand, and once I got there she had a few swatches for me to pick from! She is very skilled and efficient and I such a nice time talking with her. Her studio is also very clean and comfortable. I will defiantly be coming back when I’m back in town!

Chloe Su Had a great experience coming here for the first time! Michelle has morning appointments if you want to get nails done before work. She asked me for colors before the appointment and had colors ready for me to try and pick before I got there. It was nice being able to try the colors instead of rushing to pick from a sample palette on the day. The place is nice and cosy and only works on 1-2 customers at a time so it feels private - I liked it a lot! Michelle was super welcoming and made me feel comfortable right from the start. Needless to say, she also has great skills and made my nails look even nicer than I expected :) Highly recommend!!

Landy Luna I found Orchid Nails 2 years ago (after struggling with several other nail salons in the Bay Area) and never left! I’ve been getting my nails pretty regularly since then and have tried gel, dip and acrylic. I switch back and forth and they are always so kind, accommodating and make feel happy and relaxed after my appointment. They always make space for me, try any designs I bring and change my nails in the shape and thickness I want. I have brought my family and my close friends and they all have absolutely loved them! So happy I found this spot when I moved to Palo Alto last year. My preference is Quynh for manicures, but my experience with everyone has been awesome.

I had someone working on my feet and hands at the same time but my services were not rushed at all and very well done. I thoroughly enjoyed my gel mani and pedi experience and extras they offer. Julia Yarygina I want to preface this review by that I have been to this nail salon before and had a great experience that’s why this was a two star review. When I went on 10/30 I didn’t have a great experience. First of all I had an appointment at 5:30, and I wasn’t able to be serviced until 5:45. I completely understand that and didn’t mind it. But since the nail tech was rushing to make up the time she was on edge and not careful. During my cuticle removal process, she squeezed the lemon that was in the cuticle water on my dry hands and my hands were burning. Then, when it was time to apply my gel polish she was rushing so fast I felt like my nails were not cured properly. I tried to bring that up but she assured me that they were. Additionally, I went with a friend who had someone else and she had a great experience. She even got a hot towel at the end of her service and my tech just ran away without giving me a hot towel. Which if my nails were done properly I wouldn’t have minded that. But it’s been less than 1 day and my nail is peeling off and another one is chipped. I have gotten gel nails done for years and this has never happened to me before.

Jenna Roth Jolie at Kitchen Nail Bar is my go-to. I’ve been going to Jolie for over a year. She is fast, efficient and always uses the highest quality products. I never have any chipping or broken nails, and never have to go back for her to fix anything. She’s incredibly knowledgeable and takes great care of me, advising and educating me on what would be best (acrylic, builder gel, etc). Jolie is amazing! And everyone else at the salon is friendly, kind & fun. I love going every few weeks!

Emily Love Best nail salon in the bay!! They are so quick and do an AMAZING job. I usually hate getting my nails done but I actually enjoy it here. They also have such a big salon with plenty of staff so I have never had a problem getting seated quickly even with a walk in! Highly recommend!!

I’m trying to grow my nails, so she recommended Gel X and showed me some beautiful nail polish choices. While working on my nails, she even offered me a drink and gave me her full attention the entire time. I’ve never received such amazing service before! I absolutely love it here and will definitely be coming back to Christina.

Joanna Chan I had one of the most disappointing experiences here on 06/21. It was my first time here and I made an appointment online specifically with Lynn, but when I arrived, she and the other staff were speaking Vietnamese, and another lady ended up helping me instead even though Lynn was available that time. Although I didnt mind this initially, the quality of service I received was unacceptable. The nail shape was inconsistent across all my nails, and there was gel all over my cuticles. The gel was also not spread evenly, making my nails look messy and unprofessional. The lady almost skipped the cuticle cutting step until I pointed it out, and she had to go back to do it. What makes this worse was, the gel started coming off after just 1.5 weeks, whereas it usually lasts me 5 weeks from other salons. On top of all this, it took her almost 2 hours to complete such a poor job. I wont be returning and would not recommend this salon to anyone.

Kira Hartz Ive been coming to this salon for 5 years and love it. Everyone is professional, friendly, and caring. Lots of regular customers here which is always a good sign. They always do an excellent job. The salon is super clean, the owner Vivian ensuring excellent hygiene. Several technicians (Hana, Lynn, Becky) have worked here for years which is a testament to a well-run business. The location is great too - right in downtown Los Altos with lots of shops and restaurants around. I will definitely continue coming here and recommend this place.

Ali Nguyen The best nail salon in the Bay Area! Nini is the acrylic nail artist that only works on Saturday and she does and amazing job every single time. She never fails to make my nail ideas come to life and she has all the patience in the world to perfect them! Relaxing and gorgeous salon with a welcoming ambiance. I couldn’t recommend this place more!

Tina Tang The staff is very nice here. However the nail technicians lack expertise in their technique, especially around shaping the nail and cuticles. So I was left with not very nice looking (crooked, bumpy topcoat) nails. Also they did mani and pedi at the same time which made me feel uncomfortable since I had to contort myself in the chair. It made me feel they were trying to get me out the door and I couldn’t fully enjoy myself.

Kathryn Dixon The Nail Bar Los Altos is my favorite place to get my manicures and pedicures. It’s clean, beautiful and the ladies always do such an amazing job. I usually see Le, and have been a loyal fan of hers for almost 15 years now. I’ve followed Le, Susan, Tee and Gigi to every location they’ve worked. When Gigi opened the Nail Bar, I knew it was going to be fantastic. Gigi has the best customer service and runs her salon like a well oiled machine. Susan took care of my grandmother’s nails up until she passed this year in May, and we are forever grateful to her for going above and beyond at every single visit for my late grandmother. Tee does a great job on nails and is truly the best at massages! I highly recommend coming here! Photos are of a few of the amazing sets Le has done for me this year. The green ones were 3 weeks grown out and still looking excellent at my appoint to switch them up.

Oksana Bazhenova Pros: gorgeous place, crispy clean, polite staff, no reservation needed Cons: bad quality of gel manicure and expensive. I did about 4-5 times gel manicure there, and every time, it got chipped in 3-4 days. (For reference, when i get manicure in another salons, it lasts for two weeks minimum)I love the place, but the quality is average. It cost me $85 ($70+$ 15 tips) ! P.s. the picture was taken a week later, when I wrote a review, but the gel chipped in 3 days

Ryan Sun Nancy is really great, she’s the only one I trust to cut my hair after having a bad experience elsewhere (I have long hair fyi). She’s meticulous and makes sure the length and layers are even, even when it’s very busy. Prices are so low and I hope they stay in business a long time so I can come back. (She’s very busy since she manages everything herself with no front desk receptionist, which is probably why prices can be so low, so if you are understanding and patient about that, it’s so worth it and the best place I recommend)

Micah Alon Horrible experience. I came to remove my Gel polish and they refused to give me nail strengthener. The lady who was doing my nails was constantly picking up the phone and wasn’t focused on my nails. She was too aggressive with my cuticles and now I have an infection. Overcharged $30 for poor results.

The best salon in the world! 20 stars! They give GREAT Massages too and mani pedi. Ive been going to get my curly hair done here since I was in high school

The other ladies who work here, are also very talented and take care of their clients with high quality products and clean tools. I have been a devoted client of Jennys for several years and I would not go anywhere else for my mani-pedi services. Jennys nail art is unique and custom tailored to what you want, she has an impeccable sense of aesthetics!

Lindsey Tee Jenii is AMAZING!! I’ve had my dip powder manicure for 3 weeks now and my nails are still PERFECT! Normal growth, and no chipping or lifting at all. I’ve gone to several nail salons over the years and I’ve never made it 3 weeks without having at least one or two nails lifting. I also love that Jenii’s dip manicures don’t use UV light (many salons still use UV light for the top coating of dips). My skin is very sensitive and gets easily irritated and itchy from the UV light machines, so I’m grateful Jenii doesn’t use that. So excited to come back soon! I don’t even live near Mountain View but I’m determined to prioritize a visit to Jenii whenever I can!

Lydell Graham Ive been in the Palo Alto area for a couple of years and Jenni was the first nail technician. She an amazing job and got my nail shape PERFECT (real coffin shape). I tried some other nail salons and disappointment after disappointing, I tracked Jenni down to do my nails again. I have a standing appointment that I refuse to miss. Jenni and her team is amazing.
