1 /5 Teboni Washington: I wish I could say our experience at UBH was positive, but unfortunately, it was anything but. As a parent, I put my trust in this facility to provide proper care for my child, but what happened instead was shocking and deeply disappointing. Despite my clear instructions, my child was given medication I never approved—on top of being overmedicated with a dangerously high dosage. The lack of oversight and disregard for my consent was not only negligent but could have had serious, even life-threatening consequences. What’s worse, when I raised concerns about this, there was little to no follow-up. No real accountability, no genuine effort to make things right—just avoidance and empty reassurances. Head Nuse Angela "Angie " never kept her word and followed up and made a bold statement she would handle the matter like it was her child. Paris Hood never followed up with Rct information or any after care for that matter so many pleasant voices filled with little to know action. Mental health care should be about healing, not harm. No family should have to go through the fear and frustration we experienced here. I can only hope this review encourages other parents to ask tough questions and demand transparency before trusting this facility with their loved ones. 1 /5 Shrijana Nyoupane: I am deeply dissatisfied with the quality of care and services provided at this facility. There were no translators available, making communication extremely difficult. The food quality was poor, and the staff, including an Indian doctor, were unprofessional and dismissive, treating me as if I had a mental condition despite being completely fine. I was referred to this facility by a social worker at Baylor Scott & White emergency hospital located at warren @ legacy , despite there being no valid reason for the referral. The staff were consistently rude, and whenever I requested to see a doctor, I was repeatedly told that no doctor was available, with no clear communication regarding my care. Despite being charged $850 per day, the level of service provided was completely inadequate and did not justify the cost. The overall experience was highly disappointing, and I believe this matter should be addressed to ensure better patient care in the future.

1 /5 Zorana: Khloe and Izzy hmu if u see this I miss u guys @totallynotzoranaa on tiktok. DONT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE!!! I was on the adolescent unit for 2 weeks, if I could, I would give 0 stars. The most dehumanizing experience of my life so far. Doctor Ali the psychologist persistently prescribed drugs to me and my friends instead of helping with our issues. The food was disgusting and the staff were patronizing. Doctor Ali lied on my paperwork and pushed my discharge date back multiple times for no reason at all. I was encouraged to make friends, but then was not allowed to exchange ANY information with them. Most of my paperwork was incorrect, and constantly misplaced. None of the staff cared about the safety or well-being of any patients and were rude and dismissive. There were multiple fights and screaming matches and tbh I have more issues now than I did when I got there. There was a girl whose foot was extremely swelled up and she could barely walk, and they refused to help or have sympathy for her. And I know Im going to get the copy and pasted reply from the company but DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE!!!

1 /5 Evelyn Lopez: I had the most distressing experience at this behavioral center, and I strongly urge others to avoid it. After feeling overwhelmed and seeking help, I called the hotline, and the Lewisville Police were sent to my apartment. They assured me that I would only be at the center for a maximum of two hours while they helped me connect with the right therapist. Based on their word, I voluntarily agreed to go. However, once I arrived, I was told I couldn’t leave for 48-72 hours, which caused even more stress. I am eight months pregnant with a high-risk pregnancy, and the thought of being trapped there, away from the comfort of my home, was overwhelming. The lack of empathy from staff members made the situation worse. I spoke with someone named Africa and explained my situation, but they were unhelpful and refused to release me, despite my clear communication about my distress. The conditions inside were appalling. The food was not only tasteless but also had mold on it, which made me lose my appetite completely. The showers were cold, and the beds were nothing more than workout mats—uncomfortable and unsanitary. The thin “blanket” they provided didn’t offer any warmth, and the rooms were kept at a chilling temperature, making it nearly impossible to rest. On top of that, I was subjected to poorly executed blood work, and the staff bruised my arm badly in the process. As a pregnant woman in an already vulnerable state, this level of carelessness was alarming. I didn’t feel cared for at all. The entire experience was stressful, uncomfortable, and ultimately made my mental and physical health worse. The staff’s lack of compassion, combined with the horrible conditions, made me feel trapped and ignored. Please, do yourself a favor and find another place for help. This center is far from what it promises and is a dangerous place for anyone, especially for those already dealing with high-risk health issues.

1 /5 Mariah Cierra Turner: I would give it 0 stars if I could. This place caused me to have more trauma when I was in the kids unit than what I even originally had came in with. They dont care about your health or the people there. Legit doped me up on 7 meds without even giving me a proper diagnosis first to the point I almost died because my blood pressure dropped so low and I passed out. Then when i refused meds because they werent even trying to help they kicked me out and sent me home without even giving it a thought. Every kid there (this was in 2021) made complaints on a certain male psych doctor to be fired and they didnt listen. Do not send your kids here by any means. Find another alternative because this place will just make the issues worse.
