The team stayed in touch while ordering the parts we needed, and once everything arrived, David walked me through the entire process. He got me set up, explained each step clearly, and guided me the whole way while I worked on the car. It was a blast learning something new, and the experience was made even better by how clean, well-equipped, and air-conditioned the space was. 5 /5 Timothy Morris: Gears DIY Garage is a lifesaver! We were at Padre Island (we live in Cincinnati OH) and my brake pads started grinding. Im always weary of getting major work done out of town and getting ripped off. I had no tools and no place to work on my car. Gears is a "do it yourself" garage where they supply all the tools and if you need a car lift, they have that too! But you do your own work. (Ive worked on my own cars for years) However, they also have professional mechanics that you can pay to do the work. I was able to get all my parts at the Oreillys (or Auto Zone) down the street. I rented a bay with a lift and Gears DIY supplied all the tools(big toolbox full of metric and standard sockets, wrenches, hammers etc). Once I got into the job I realized I needed 2 special tools to compress the Subaru Outback wheel cylinders. Gears had the tools (no extra charge). I got some guidance on the work from Bill who was so helpful. I probably saved $1000 replacing my brake pads and rotors on all 4 wheels. I cant say enough good things about these guys!
