NCH Healthcare System

Jim Henderson I posted my past experiences with NCH earlier today. It was lengthy but important for people to hear. After posting I read, in horror, how many, many similarly horrid experiences so many people had at NCH. I tried to find anything good to put into my post but there was not one single thing NCH had done in my multiple visits in 2023 to assure me that they really cared about my health. However, I visited, as only a last ditch desperate attempt to find a doctor who cares, because my primary Dr recommended him, Dr Paz yesterday. He spent over 1 1/2 hours with my wife and I. Having been to Cleveland Clinic for all of my last appointments for care, I have become familiar with what quality care feels like. My experience was as equal to the care I have received at Cleveland Clinic. I would recommend Dr Paz to anyone who is looking for quality cardiac care. In our first visit we got more assurance of quality care than we ever experienced at NCH and, at Physicians Regional over the past 2 years!

DOCTOR

Bob Bynum I am experiencing mixed emotions while writing this review. I don’t want to sound mean or vindictive with my comments but I’m at the point where something needs to be done. I was admitted as a possible stroke victim. After spending 9 hours in the ER without much information on my situation. I grew restless and disturbed that none was forthcoming. The Hospital staff were all very professional. Doctors, nurses, techs, transportation, food service and housekeeping. Still, something was missing. When I finally got to my room things were better. The staff continued to be most professional. My only complaint at this point is it was now 10 PM and I had not been offered anything to eat or drink. I did ask for and received a cold glass of water. The next day I started having tests conducted. It wasn’t till after several tests, hours and lunch that I met two of my Doctors who discussed with me my situation and a plan of sorts. I was then told I might (would ) need to spend another night in the facility. These Doctors totally Impressed me. I was clear from the conversation they had both totally studied my chart. Their questions were directed at a better under standing of MY situation. Later on I met the Neurologist who was working my case and she too was throughly involved and knowledgeable. It was like they had been studying me all my life. I closed night two out at 9 or 10 o’clock with a late test. Went back to my room and tried to sleep. Day three began With optimism of gettin out. At about 11 am a doctor stopped by. He advised me that one of my tests done yesterday was not yet “read”. At about 1 PM I called the desk and asked to speak or relay a message to DR Vina. The desk told me that was impossible. I asked for an update on my plan from my DR. I was told he was off today. I had to drag the information out of the person that he had be replaced today by Dr Pino. I indicated to the desk person that I needed some information on my situation and I felt I like I was being held without information. She told me that I was free to go and they held no one “ hostage. “ This disturbed me and I disputed her claim. And then, right at the Pinnacle of my anger my Neurologist and her Resident entered the room. They briefed me on the situation and informed me on what was still lacking. I discussed with them MY problem. And my problem as a patient is the screwed up system of information between patient and doctor and the currency of the situation. Also, the crazy way questions are answered by the Red button responders at the nursing station. To be told that I was not being held hostage is not the right choice of words to tell the patient or CUSTOMER. YOU GUYS GET FIVE STARS IN PATIENT CARE BUT A MINUS ZERO IN EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATIONS WITH THE CUSTOMER (patient). Really, this hospital needs help keeping people informed during the transit of the health care system.

NCH Northeast

Victoria Mink We had a great experience at this hospital. We got admitted fast and the doctor did all the necessary tests to give my husband a proper diagnosis. The admission nurse was a bit rude, but overall we give this hospital a solid 5 star.

Physicians Regional Pine Ridge - Emergency Room

Roe Lou “Weezie” Huge thank you to all the rapidly caring staff I encountered in my ER visit. Especially Dr Hunter Brown. He was very attentive, listened to me, very through. I had an excellent nurse as well and Im sorry I dont remember his name but he was a blessing as well. All the other staff from CT techs , to x-rays were great. This is not my first visit to this ER and I highly recommend it to anyone. I am a retired nurse and can be a little.... pushy , but everyone went above and beyond to comfort me. My experience was top notch and I have no complaints.

Naples Center for Functional Medicine

M.J. Velasco I am now sixty-nine . . . Nearly a year ago I began seeing Dr. George Moricz and staff (“Naples Center For Functional Medicine”) armed with prayers that I’d recover my mental sharpness, strength (muscle), energy, stamina, vigor, drive, desire, and motivation. Tall order for me to give and for Dr. George Moricz and staff to deliver. But, did I say prayer? I prayed the toughest prayers ever! Let’s get to it! Nothing comes easy. It takes time, dedication, and prayer to achieve what seems to be the elusive butterfly of life. But, so long as I wake every morning I am bound and determined to have the best health and moments of my life. Now you ask, are you achieving the best moments of your life? My answer? Yes, I am ! ! ! Today, February 22 has been the best day I’ve had in, about, ten years. Yes, ten years! In short, I lost ten years to growing older without me monitoring the stability and quality of my health. What was I thinking ? ? ? Yet, for me, these past months have been “just what the doctor ordered”. Without question everyone has different health needs. Having said that, Dr. Moricz and his professional medical team custom fit functional medicine into one’s natural health needs and lifestyle. That’s what they’ve done for me. Finally, upon waking up this morning I had a full day without interruption or the feeling of malaise. The past interruptions or malaise would inevitably force me back to sleep. Throughout this day I found myself completely amazed and grateful by my near yearlong and gradual transformation; transformation to healthy and livable life. Stay tuned ! ! ! My life goal is for quality of health and life. CHEERS ! ! !

NCH Orthopedics

Bonnie Rushing I have only seen Dr Dounchis. He is very good. My issue is with the staff. It is virtually impossible to get any response to a call for help. I recently needed help (really needed it) for an injury for which I saw Dounchis just before he left for holiday. The doctor taking his call did not return my call, Dounchis’ nurse did not return call, staff did not return my call. I left message for all three, with no help forthcoming. I had to go to Millenium walk-in clinic to be seen. The surgeons may be good, but if a patient cannot get the office to call when he/she has genuine issue, it does not do the patient much good.
