1 /5 Sean Willis: I took my truck here for a tire rotation and alignment. I also asked them to check the front end to make sure it was all tight with nothing broken. I dropped it off first thing in the morning, then called them around 2:30pm and they tell me it’s all done, front end is tight, but I need brake pads/rotors/ and calipers. They say that my brakes are metal on metal and my front calipers are stuck. I have not heard any grinding indicating metal on metal or noticed any weird brake problems while driving. So thinking maybe my pads were very thin and they were being truthful, maybe exaggerating a little, I went and bought the needed parts. I used to be a mechanic working in the industry so when I got home and jacked the truck up and got the wheels off, I realized I was lied to. The brakes were thick and normal looking, no signs of a stuck caliper, no excessive brake pad wear, nothing. But, just to be sure I took it to another shop for another set of eyes as I haven’t worked on cars in years. This other shop confirmed what I saw, nothing wrong. Having worked in the industry, I could never imagine straight up lying to my customers. I am grateful I have the ability to fact check these things and did not pay this place $1500 for nothing. Absolutely shameful. I have been notified that the technician making the false diagnosis is no longer working for them, hopefully this is true. Regardless, tread lightly and do you research before spending big money here for repairs.
