Lake Tahoe Automotive - South Lake Tahoe (CA)

felita Vizcarra My vans battery icon lit up when we arrived here in Lake Tahoe last Saturday..... it disappeared after awhile, but the next day it lit up again. Since we were driving back to Los Angeles today (Monday), I called AAA to check the battery.... and it was diagnosed as problem with the alternator. I called Lake Tahoe Automotive, and they told me to bring the van in. They even ordered the alternator right away prior to my arrival to facilitate the repair. When I got to the shop, they finished the repair in less than an hour. They were so efficient and nice, very good customer service! And the price is paid for the repair was fair enough. Highly recommended!

Alison Tacker I would give John 10 Stars if I could!!! My Audi was having issues as I was making my way back to The Bay and I knew I wasnt gonna make it. John absolutely made the experience of breaking down the best it could possibly be. He clearly is an expert in his craft. I really appreciated his communication on what the issues were and how quickly he could get it repaired. His expertise and level setting of expectations made me feel comfortable and confident that I had found the best in the business to get me back on the road. If I lived closer, hed be the only person I would trust to work on my car. I often travel to South Tahoe, would be thrilled to schedule further maintenance at Higher Ground.

Diane Strother I had a fantastic experience with Collision Pros in South Lake Tahoe. From start to finish, the team was professional, communicative, and genuinely helpful. They gave me a clear estimate, kept me updated throughout the repair process, and delivered my car looking like new—actually better than before the accident. The staff was friendly, and they handled all the insurance paperwork, which made the entire process stress-free. You can tell they take pride in their work and care about their customers. Hopefully I wont need body work again anytime soon, but if I do, I know exactly where Im going. Thank you to the entire Collision Pros team!

Gary Castleman Went in with what I thought was a a big issue, found out it was very minor. I called all of Tahoe and every place was a week out. Nick took time out of his schedule to help me get my vehicle going. This was true professional service for me.

David Cervini Our car was damaged while driving along the lake on vacation. We had to get an Uber. We asked the driver if he knew a good place in town; he recommended Eloise. It was a stressful time since we live 500 miles away in San Diego. Kat was amazing! Professional, compassionate and communicative. She was also able to find alternatives that saved our car from being totaled by the insurance company. We have our car back and have them to thank for it! I highly recommend them. (I only wish we could find similar in San Diego!)

Don Larson I had a problem with my 2018 Subaru Outback. It suddenly would not move forward without a “stuttering” action. Got towed to Todd’s shop on a Friday afternoon. He was busy with other cars. We left it with him and by 5:00 PM he had determined that everything seemed fine. He hooked it up to his diagnostic computer and reset the system. Drove it all over with no issues. When I picked up the car before he closed on Friday he would not take any payment…saying “I didn’t do anything”. Oh but he did…He affirmed my faith that there are still people of GREAT CHARACTER. I concur with the other reviewers in their compliments to this man. Great to have a mechanic I can go to when I’m at my Tahoe home.

Ricky Rancour Lake Tahoe automotive was great when working with my truck I own a business and needed the issue fixed quickly and they jumped on it and did a great job. They’re fast efficient and responsive not always what you get living in Lake Tahoe so they are awesome.

Nick Miller This is the best Oil Change place I have ever gone to! They are fast and all the staff are very nice. Everyone goes the extra mile here, asking if you want your pies pumped and windshield cleaned. Truly wonderful! I will absolutely be coming back here again.

He took the time to explain everything clearly, gave me great advice, and most importantly, reassured me that my vehicle was safe to drive. It’s rare to find someone so trustworthy and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Christensen to anyone in the area—this is definitely the shop to bring your car to!

Jim Herrmann I needed some body work done on my car and had a very tight schedule. This organization stepped up and really helped me out. They were not only speedy, they were incredible at keeping me informed with accurate information, and the finished product was perfection. This was perhaps the best experience I have had with any kind of auto repair shop. If you are looking for auto body work in the South Lake Tahoe area, I cant recommend them highly enough.
