Alison Tacker I would give John 10 Stars if I could!!! My Audi was having issues as I was making my way back to The Bay and I knew I wasnt gonna make it. John absolutely made the experience of breaking down the best it could possibly be. He clearly is an expert in his craft. I really appreciated his communication on what the issues were and how quickly he could get it repaired. His expertise and level setting of expectations made me feel comfortable and confident that I had found the best in the business to get me back on the road. If I lived closer, hed be the only person I would trust to work on my car. I often travel to South Tahoe, would be thrilled to schedule further maintenance at Higher Ground.

james madison Went into Franks on a friday afternoon. Explained that the starter had gone out on our diesel powered motorhome and we were at a near by campground. Frank said could call Monday and we would arrange replacement. 0800 Monday Frank called and said they would be out at 8:30. Matt arrived on time, was courteous, considerate, and went right to work. Two hours later job complete. What more could I ask. First rate operation all the way around. His shop looks like an old timey garage but man they know what they are doing. Thanks Frank and Matt!!

Nick Miller This is the best Oil Change place I have ever gone to! They are fast and all the staff are very nice. Everyone goes the extra mile here, asking if you want your pies pumped and windshield cleaned. Truly wonderful! I will absolutely be coming back here again.

Don Larson I had a problem with my 2018 Subaru Outback. It suddenly would not move forward without a “stuttering” action. Got towed to Todd’s shop on a Friday afternoon. He was busy with other cars. We left it with him and by 5:00 PM he had determined that everything seemed fine. He hooked it up to his diagnostic computer and reset the system. Drove it all over with no issues. When I picked up the car before he closed on Friday he would not take any payment…saying “I didn’t do anything”. Oh but he did…He affirmed my faith that there are still people of GREAT CHARACTER. I concur with the other reviewers in their compliments to this man. Great to have a mechanic I can go to when I’m at my Tahoe home.

felita Vizcarra My vans battery icon lit up when we arrived here in Lake Tahoe last Saturday..... it disappeared after awhile, but the next day it lit up again. Since we were driving back to Los Angeles today (Monday), I called AAA to check the battery.... and it was diagnosed as problem with the alternator. I called Lake Tahoe Automotive, and they told me to bring the van in. They even ordered the alternator right away prior to my arrival to facilitate the repair. When I got to the shop, they finished the repair in less than an hour. They were so efficient and nice, very good customer service! And the price is paid for the repair was fair enough. Highly recommended!

Ian Ochoa I had a fantastic experience at Christensen Automotive! Shane, the technician who helped me, was extremely honest, helpful, and an absolute delight to work with. He took the time to explain everything clearly, gave me great advice, and most importantly, reassured me that my vehicle was safe to drive. It’s rare to find someone so trustworthy and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Christensen to anyone in the area—this is definitely the shop to bring your car to!

Julio Lombera I went to Lake tahoe on business stayed 3 nights on our last day there. my check engine light came on.we went to OReilly to get a diagnostic check they said we should get the car checked out by a mechanic before heading home since we had a 7 and a half hour drive.we drove to 3 shops and they did not want to help us everyone said we needed and appointment. We went to norms as our last resort to see if they could help.we were giving up hope but thank God that the lady that was there and the mechanic helped us out and explained that I had nothing to worry about with the check engine light it would be ok to drive home. What I am trying to say is that if u are ever in lake tahoe and need an honest and trustworthy mechanic please dont wate your time going anywhere else go to norms they are amazing people.

Ricky Rancour Lake Tahoe automotive was great when working with my truck I own a business and needed the issue fixed quickly and they jumped on it and did a great job. They’re fast efficient and responsive not always what you get living in Lake Tahoe so they are awesome.
