They went above and beyond by showing me in detail the damaged parts, which really helped me understand the necessary repairs. Even better, they gave me an exact quote upfront, and there were absolutely no hidden fees or extra charges. If youre looking for an honest, transparent, and top-notch auto service, look no further. 5 /5 Mary Belanger: Thank you, thank you! I can not say enough about the fantastic service given at Downtown Automotive. I limped in at 1 on a Friday afternoon of a long weekend and they got me back on the road by 4:30 with brakes, rotors and calipers all at a reasonable price. The ladies in the office were lovely, kind and understanding. The manager even made sure the parts would be covered up here in Canada. That is priceless. The mechanics were quick and efficient. You made what could have been an awful situation for this Canadian a quick and painless one. I am so grateful and have already recommended your shop to others.

2 /5 William Metz: I have mixed feelings about this place. They seem like nice people and seem knowledgeable but I can’t tell if their outrageous quote was them meaning well or them trying to rip me off. I had my car towed to them after I had my coolant flange wearing out. This is a common issue for my car with my mileage, it’s super easy fix $30 part and 30 minutes of time (an hour if you replace the hose too). They told me I needed to replace the thermastat and couple of other hoses too, and quoted me $1500 (which still felt high from my research). They explained that these components often go at the same time and need to be replaced. And they are probably right that it’s a good idea to replace them, and my research tends to agree it’s not a bad idea. But it clearly wasn’t necessary, I opted to fix it myself for $30 and it’s driven fine for next 1000 miles. May one of those components break soon, sure but it’s dishonest to say the only way to do was to replace all those parts too. I struggle to properly rate them because they were very nice and said if had an issue with repair or to recheck the leak after the repair they would do it for free. On the other hand if I needed my car for work and/or wasn’t comfortable following a YouTube video to fix my car, I would be forced into spending $1500 for something that could have been $200-300 (shop labor included).

5 /5 Kim: This group of professional’s is honest, knowledgeable and helpful. I have had them work on both my Hyundai Accent and Honda SUV. They give tips about things to watch for and plan to have done in the future. The office staff works so hard, is polite and knowledgeable too!!! All of them are time efficient and listen well. So glad I found this shop!!!

5 /5 Christopher Rorem: I had a great experience with Downtown Automotive. They were some of the only ones willing to do some exhaust repairs on my truck that required welding. They got me in the following day and were quick and very communicative. I was very impressed with their quality of work too. I’d highly recommend them to anyone!
