1 /5 Geraldine Pritchard: Terrible!! Horrendous!! Probably the worst experience in my entire life. My niece was feeling weak and dizzy, during the day she almost fainted twice so concerned she called the staff at Cornell where she is the student, she was advised to go to the hospital. She waited 4.5h for absolutely nothing!!! On multiple occasions she asked if she could be seen as she felt like she was about to faint.. you would think she was at the right place to deal with an EMERGENCY, no, not at all, she may have gone to Burger King instead you wouldnt see any difference.. The staff, the nightshift woman at the er who answers the phone and admits new patients, was beyond rude, and she couldnt care less. When you are in charge of answering the phone, the least you could do is to remain professional and understanding, she works at the ER, so obviously she will get phone calls from upset people, you know, being that SHE supposedly "works" with people in need. No, no such luck. Just a rude little person behind the phone sucking in that air of power she thinks she has.. I suggest she changes to the meat packing industry, there you are not required to have empathy, there you can be who you are.. In fine, my niece went back to her dorm, she needed to rest, she just needed to sleep by then, exhausted by a terrible day. I really hope for Cayuga Medical that my nieces fear of a serious condition isnt confirmed, if she has something serious, we are coming after you, will all our lawyers might! To let people who are in need of care simply almost faint in front of you without even reacting is beyond unprofessional, its criminal!!
