Christina Mott Dr Hoda and Sharon Pierce are both very compassionate caring professionals, they actually take the time with you rather than rush to get to the next patient, even if it means they will be there late. Donna in billing is extremely knowledgeable and helpful as are the other staff members. From Pediatric to Geriatric this is a GREAT FAMILY PHYSICIAN OFFICE

John Romano I had Dr Mcdermont . She was very professional and easy to talk too . Once she left I received a letter from a Doctor I never saw or spoke to basically kicking me out , canceling any appointments , telling me "They will never prescribe me Narcoticts " and even were condescending telling me to go look in the yellow pages for another Doctor . One, I never have been prescribed a narcotic or even take any. I took a urine test and my adderal (controled substance not a narcotic ) wasnt in my system for a day . Which they new about because I was sick for a couple days . No lab results , no lab results sent to me , no appt no nothing. Not even a phone call. Considering I suffer from anxieties and just thrown to the curb is unethical and unprofesional . Made out to look like a narcotic abuser...yet never took one or prescribed one. When I called the office manager was rude and didnt know the difference between a narcotic and a controlled substance . Completely unprofesional . Obviously they are trying to slander Dr Mcdermont but to take it out on her patients is disgusting . I was a good patient , politie and never canceled an appointment . Any med I take is well documented and appropriate . To be treated like a drug addict and thrown out is wrong on so many levels . Actions like this just dont get dismissed ...like they do their patients .

deb Brought my mother to the ER for a possible peritonitis. She has stage 5 kidney disease. She was running a fever when we got here. We have been here 7 hours. Still sitting in the waiting room. Only thing they have done is draw blood for bloodwork. This is ridiculous!!!

Meagan DeJong I would offer more stars, but unfortunately, one nurse made our ER visit not just unpleasant but to say that she was frighteningly uninformed is an understatement. Our son was experiencing some side effects from a recent vaccine and out of an abundance of caution, we took him to the ER to be checked, as any parent would. Front desk receptionist, great; woman who took his vitals, okay but not really pleasant and definitely not a great bedside manner or any manners, period. Same with the phlebotomist who literally didnt say one word to any of us. I have medical professionals and nurses in my own family and I know that kindness is free and really helps people who are in a position of worry that are visiting an ER. Wouldnt hurt to ask "how are you doing tonight?" or ask my son if he plays a sport or ANYthing to just be very basically congenial. But thats minor compared to one of the RNs that was on duty. Unfortunately, we did not get her name (although Im sure its on record for that shift at 3am), but she came in to the room, asked about symptoms and said "now theyre treating Covid with Vitamin C" and that she "wasnt sure what the doctor would do since this is self-inflicted." WOW. How is this woman a nurse??? Not only is that just outright misinformation, but to say that getting a vaccine makes any symptom "self-inflicted" is just nuts, cruel, and WRONG. She should be ashamed of herself telling any parent such a thing. Its something Ill be following up about because it was just so shockingly ignorant. Later in the visit she ignored us and gave our 13 year old son discharge paperwork to review and sign instead of speaking with us or having us--the parent/guardian--sign as we were supposed to. Poor excuse for a nurse, and clearly scarily uneducated but operating as if shes a doctor, telling patients incorrect information that could do real harm. The other nurse, Karen, was fantastic. Kind, a calming presence, reassuring (just as the doctor was) that we did the right thing in bringing him. I told her what the other nurse said and she seemed to also feel, rightfully, that it was ridiculous and said not to pay attention. She joked around with our son, and made us feel at ease, while offering information. Polar opposite of the other "nurse." We made sure to thank her as we left. Its not easy to be a nurse, not easy to work that shift, but the right people go into it for the right reasons, and shes proof of that. She could have had the same attitude and ignorance as the other nurse, but she chose to prioritize the patients needs rather than her own (wrong) opinions. The doctor (Valletta) was also good. Very brief, as ER drs can sometimes be given that theyre often dealing with critical emergencies, but again told us that we did the right thing, reviewed our family history, and did some additional testing to be sure our son was okay. I sincerely appreciated that. An EKG was performed by a gentleman named Cody, who was also sincerely kind and overall great. We had to rely on terrible nurse to give the EKG to the Dr so I hope he actually saw it--I dont trust her judgement at all and will be following up about that, too. Fatigue among medical professionals is a real thing. I get it. I have family that are nurses, receptionists, do medical billing and coding, and one who is a neurologist, all in different settings. I have the utmost empathy for what it is that they do, day in and day out, and especially since the start of the ongoing pandemic. I believe they all deserve more--more pay, benefits, time off--for all that they do for all of us. But none of that is the patients fault. When people come into an ER, theyre there because theyre experiencing some type of emergency and need expertise and compassion. Someone should remind that nurse. Im happy to speak to someone at the hospital to talk about this experience further if thats something they care about hearing. Karen? 5 stars. Cody? Also 5 stars. The doc? 5 stars, too. But wow, that nurse--0 stars would be too generous. Discharge paperwork also incorrect!

Asked 3 different nurses for nausea medication and they treated me like I was displaying drug seeking behavior. For asking for anti-nausea medication. Now they get to clean up my vom from the waiting room floor. Dont go here, if youre having a medical emergency you will literally die in the waiting room because they refuse to staff this place. Hope I make it!

Jen Krause I have been through CMC’s ER, surgical center, imaging, infusion center, OR, visited for monthly labs, HIM, billing and certainly stopped by to see a few other folks along the way. I thankfully have not needed to be admitted, so I can’t say anything about their inpatient care. I’ve definitely had my duds and my own hissy fits from time to time, but otherwise I’ve been treated with nothing but empathy and care. Just wish they had better resources.

michele gil **Discriminative** Was trying to verify why their facility does NOT provide any kind of translation services. I was told by Heather numerous times that they communicate with their clients with the application on the clients phones. It is a NY State REQUIREMENT to have translations services put into place for non English speaking clients. A Dr. Patel got onto the phone and asked what the complaint was and whilst in the middle of explaining she kept speaking over me, not trying to listen to help resolve, but what it seemed like listened to just say she cannot be of assistance and then begin to say that they in fact DO have something put in place. None of them were able to state the name of the translation service therefore prompting me to believe she lied. They also stated they needed the card with their doctors info on it and as NEEDED to even schedule an appointment and stated they are “ old school” and have no way of verify that info for billing. A community member has the ability to change their doctor and that doctor can bill the patient that same day of change. Being new to the area, this was the most disturbing, discriminative interaction our family has ever experienced.

Rachel Dr Carter is wildly unprofessional and rude. I left his care after 3 months of being with his office. He was very dismissive and condescending. Even went as far as rolling his eyes at me. The front desk staff is also terrible. One of the girls is great but the attitude from the rest are awful. They wont let you send a message to the doctor, instead they answer the questions as a non-medical professional. Dont waste your time here.

julia anderson So disappointed in Hospice. HUGE lack of communication between staff. We waited and waited for anything we needed. Waited TWO WEEKS for a bedpan! It finally showed up the night before my husband died. They called in wrong medications and forgot about some all together. Because of that his final hours were way more traumatic than they had to be - for ALL of us! They are supposed to check in on the family for 13 months after. They called once soon after and it’s been 6 months now. They don’t give crap! I’ve sent back surveys and wrote - they don’t even respond. Hope I NEVER have to use this company again! Better off without them.

Shannon Knox Poor communication between staff. Very poor follow through with what they say they will do for you and your loved one. My father just passed away and went through unnecessary suffering because the nurses did not check vitals and look over his body for reasons why pain wasnt being managed by increased amounts of pain medication because they didnt want to add extra discomfort which is ridiculous... they just wrote it off as the dying process and said the process of dying is hard. One nurse said he will die in an hour and proceeded to sit on our couch staring at us and him for over two hours and finally just left. Without ever checking him over. After hours of him suffering different nurses were sent after we demanded more help for his pain that found that his bladder was distended and after a catheter was put in he was able to have relief and he passed minutes later. A nurse actually recommended not to have a catheter put it because it would cause some discomfort at first. We were never informed of the benefits of a catheter and that sometimes people cant expell waste at the end of life which may prolong their experience. The nurse that came after he passed said shed have hospice out the next day to pick up all the equipment and she never did. We were told my dad couldnt get IV at home for better pain management early on and on the last day he was alive we were told that that couldve happened but that it was no longer an option because of his level of dehydration. It is so angering to know my Dad wasnt properly cared for and we werent properly supported and that he had to endure unnecessary suffering. It seems like there is very poor consistency and follow through within this agency and it is very sad. I would never recommend this agency to anyone. People would be better off dying in a hospital where they can actually get consistent and thorough care. Whats the point of having the ability to die at home if you wont be adequately cared for?

J Dog Ive been here several times over the past 6 months. First two visits were great. Day shift at that time was great. Came in twice on night shift. Super slow moving for not having any other patients in the ER. Came in a few weeks ago for stitches. Nurse dropped the blue paper they put under my sons wound and picked it up as if it wasnt dropped on a dirty floor and proceeded to use it. Came in today, my husband may have broke his ribs and they told us we would have to go to the walk in. The walk in is a complete joke. I gave it a shot once. My daughter kept running fevers and coughing. They did no tests. Literally listened to her heart and lungs and said its a virus and sent us on our way. I refuse to use the walk in ever again. That being said we walked into our Primary care Dr. Office got an order for an x ray. Are here now getting x ray and will return to Dr. Office. Hospital ER is not supposed to send you else where. I dont even thing thats legal. They were not busy and seem to only care about their conversations had behind the desk. As for the walk in you wait to be registered, wait forever to be seen, and they do nothing for you.

Dennis Fisher PATIENT BEWARE: This is by far the absolute worst doctors office in binghamton. STORY TIME: so I went here to get a P.P.D shot which is annual when your in the medical field for homecare, I get the P.P.D shot on a Monday and they tell me to come back 3 days later which is a red flag because P.P.Ds are supposed to be check within a 42 hour radius (2 days) from what I remember, but they said 72 hours! So I go back after 3 days (72 hrs) at the set time theyve given me which is 10:40am. Upon arrival at 10:20 they have me wait in the waiting room for about 40 minutes so now its 11:20, the nurse comes out looking like a crack head and says I cant read your P.P.D because you were not here at 10:40 the initial time I scheduled you to be here, so they basically wasted my time and now I have to do the P.P.D alllll over again. So unprofessional. I will never ever visit this place again and there crooks because I think they still billed my insurance. Health care is broken people look alive and avoid this place at all cost, just travel outside of these areas to get proper care you deserve better. Sincerely: angry patient

Thi Dinh I went to the walk in on Robinson yesterday. UHS walk ins had a 5 hour wait. My 2 year old son was throwing up, and I told the front desk that he has a history of ear infections (he’s had 14 of them) and it’s most likely not Covid. The wait was not long but when the doctor came in to the room she was not happy that it’s after hours. She kept asking me to keep my son at a distance from her as he kept running around in the room. Then while examining him she kept asking me to keep his head away from her. It turned out he had a ear infection. I have met hundreds of doctors and she was by far the meanest and rudest one. Maybe because we are Asian. Then the pharmacy was closed, I went to pick up his meds the next day and they never got his prescription. I called the office and then waited, called again and was given an attitude and they kept saying the doctors are busy, then also the worse pharmacy in the world who doesn’t answer the phone and has a lunch break every day (Walgreens) kept saying they didn’t receive it, so I end up going to the pharmacy 3 times and then in person to the walk in before getting the prescription 3 hours later with two crying kids in the car. I was in tears. I never had a experience like this one. This is why their walk ins are not as busy as UHS. I had a friend waited 5 hours from high blood pressure and ended up paralyzed.

Binghamton VA Clinic

Alba Traoz Even if youre 100% service-connected permanent & permanent/total, I do not recommend this clinic. If you are a women & are assigned Dr. Webster, I absolutely recommend changing doctors immediately. He doesnt understand really anything about psychiatry beyond "just think positive thoughts". I dont know why a doctor would be clueless as to why anxiety is increased when youre told you have ONE TO TWO YEARS LEFT ON THIS EARTH. I might not even make it to my daughters graduation. Now Dr. Webster is on a revenge quest to make sure I receive absolutely no help as a 100% service-connected permanent & total disabled veteran for PTSD. In fact, he is going out of his way to make it even harder. Im a stage 4 cancer patient but Dr. Webster wants to ensure whatever time I have lepton earth is absolutely miserable, he wants me to stay chained to my bed until I die. The ONLY reason I have late-stage cancer is their refusal to listen to me about my symptoms for years. Told me I didnt need a Pap smear for five years. I came with late stage cancer. Now, Im being punished & lied about for switching doctors. I tried to switch doctors years ago but this doctor told me it wasnt possible. I found out, years later that it actually is possible. Then I read his notes & he has made such a false statements, Im left with no choice but to take action via an advocate. Im filing a complaint about this doctor with every agency I need to in New York State. Im looking into legal options on how to get this lie removed from my medical records. I also have a line in with my state senator & have been asked to explain everything to them in detail, which I will absolutely be doing. This "psychiatrist" has accused me of being a drug-seeker for trying to get help with autism & ADHD. Autism doesnt even involve medication. He also said Im not autistic because I "have empathy & can make eye contact." This means he is totally uneducated about autism. Autistic people have empathy & the eye contact I do make is FORCED & UNCOMFORTABLE but if I dont make eye contact, Im labeled "rude" or a "liar" so I HAVE NO CHOICE. He doesnt even KNOW women are misdiagnosed & struggle getting a diagnosis until theyre adults. His PTSD "treatment" is literally "just try to think positive thoughts". He was absolutely baffled as to why I had increased anxiety after being diagnosed with STAGE FOUR CANCER. Now since he has passed these lies onto my new "doctor", they are making sure that they make my quality of life, whatever life I do have left, as miserable as possible. Its like THIS VA IS INTENTIONALLY TRYING TO LET ME DIE. I am so disgusted over the outright provable lies this man has said about me, all because I switched doctors because this man refuses to listen or hear me out in any way, which, the VA not listening to me is the ONLY reason the cancer is even a thing. They did nothing to help me in any way & are now actively harming me. This clinic is a total nightmare. I have only known of one single good person there in the entire almost 15 years Ive been going to this VA. You are truly putting your life in what I believe to be extremely incompetent hands. They are the only reason I have to be scanned every 90 days for cancer cells for the rest of whatever life I have left. They are making my quality of life as miserable as possible because my infusions cost them $22k every 45 days.

Jay Foster The list of misdiagnosis is far to long and hurtful to list here. If you only need to check and see if you heart is beating theyll do just fine. Too bad the behavioral health is in the same building and has to be associated with the medical section since they do a pretty good job. New update 11/22/22 Today I witnessed an elderly veteran being told to wait outside in 20 degree weather for someone to come and talk to him. He was walking with a cane and not a problem for anyone. I went out and talked to him and told him to come back inside while another vet told the receptionist he was to come back indoors. Myself and two other vets stayed with him until someone from the back came and made him go outside again. I passed by them on my way out and they were being disrespectful in their tone towards him. It might seem a little picky but would it be too difficult to add the words please and thank you to the vocabulary of the people that work there.
