Nick & Renee Doerfler This group of believers is amazing! Authentic, kind, loving toward one another, and in love with Jesus! We love their weekly house church gatherings as well as the corporate Sunday gathering and our kids love their Sunday class and housechurch gatherings as well!!! Every single time this church meets, they practice hearing the Lord’s voice together! As a result, everyone here is growing so rapidly in their relationship with the Lord! I have honestly never seen anything like it anywhere else…and we have been in some wonderful churches! But this place is uniquely on another level as it attempts to model itself after the early church described in Acts! LOVE IT HERE!! Look forward to every meeting! Definitely check it out for yourself! You won’t regret it!!

Lucas Henderson This is a great place to be. This church is a family who genuinely cares about everyone that walks in the doors, and they make you feel like home. They care about the family of Jesus making a true difference in the real world amidst all the hard things we go through. My church past has made church hard for me, but this community is one that has made that healing a lot easier. Highly recommend this non-denominational church in New Orleans!

Annette Mershimer I LOVE love this church! I’ve been going for the past few months and already feel so connected. People are so welcoming! As soon as I walked in I was greeted with a smile and they asked about me. The people are really genuine and really want to get to know you, and actually remember you the next week. I’ve made so many friends since coming. Plus there is FOOD and it’s really good. Every week there is dinner and dessert after the service. It’s very biblical, they do community outreach and have kids ministry. Blake and Lena are the pastors there and they are so kind, genuine, and funny. I feel like I relate to them easily. This place is the real deal, I can’t speak highly enough of it. I’m so thankful for it, it’s impacted my life so much. I tell everyone about it, it’s definitely worth checking out

Megan Lindsey Tallman Ive been a member of Church of the Resurrection for over 2 years and I cant say enough about how much our family loves it here. They are so welcoming and friendly to anyone who walks through the doors. The music is amazing and uplifting and makes the service so special. Pastor Ben has such a gift for preaching and consistently delivers such emotional, relatable, and impactful sermons. This is a young church full of life! Family, children, community, and service are some core values that are evident. I would highly recommend this church to anyone looking for a Presbyterian church, or just any church to feel welcomed to.

EUNICE OFORI My family and I moved to New Orleans in 2020 and Lakeview Christian Center has been our place of worship. I cannot stress enough what a blessing and life transforming this decision was. They have great programs for every age groups and cared deeply for everyone. If you are looking for a place of worship, or just want to visit to check out a bible believing church, then look no further! God bless!

John and Val Engvall Val and I first visited Lakeview Christian Center in August 2001, just before the events of September 11. From that very first Sunday, we felt welcomed and at home. Over the years, our family has experienced genuine love, care, and support. The leadership team has walked with us through many significant moments—like 9/11, Hurricane Katrina, and other personal challenges—always providing steady guidance and compassion. Our four children grew up at Lakeview, participating in children’s church and youth group, and now, as adults, they still call this church home. It’s a joy to see our grandchildren growing up here too, making Lakeview a true multi-generational family for us. Pastor Collin’s preaching is thoughtful, clear, and rooted in Scripture. His messages consistently challenge us to grow in our faith and apply God’s Word in practical ways. We appreciate that Lakeview is God-centered, Reformed, and Continuationist, with leadership that values both biblical truth and the work of the Holy Spirit. The church’s connection with Sovereign Grace Churches has also enriched our experience. Sunday mornings are always meaningful, but what’s made the biggest difference for us has been the community we’ve found in small groups. These gatherings have been a source of encouragement, friendship, and spiritual growth. “Growing together for the glory of God” isn’t just a slogan at Lakeview—it’s something we see lived out every week, in the humility and care of our pastors, elders, and fellow members. We are truly grateful for the friendships and spiritual growth we’ve experienced here. Lakeview Christian Center has been a blessing to our family, and we look forward to continuing this journey together

From the moment I walked in I was made to feel like one of the family, so many smiling, warm faces that made me feel so comfortable in an unfamiliar town. Everyone made such an effort with me, from the ushers, to the pastor! I hope I am back in New Orleans soon, bless this church!

Gaynell Conner You feel welcome as soon as you enter the doors, great atmosphere for the entire family. Theres a mothers room, infant room, kids church, free coffee, mints, and books to learn more about Christ in the hallways. In the Sanctuary, the worship team melodically ushers in the holy spirit, then Pastor Josh speaks the unadulterated truth with simplicity, and undefiled about Gods holy word. Hes also humorous, so be prepared to laugh. "Come with an open heart, youll leave with a wealth of knowledge".

D Schnatz This church is beautiful inside and out. It is a wonderful place to hold a wedding and met every expectation during the event. I would point out that the banister on the front stairs going down from the church to the street level needs attention. The brass outer rod spins on the banister. So when you think youre reaching out for a handhold you actually have nothing to grip. One elderly lady had that issue and took a tumble down the stairs when she tried to hold on to the railing as she descended.

Not only did they get me in and out in 5 minutes or less, but they gave me a bag of essential supplies and TWO boxes of food, along with having a table full of extra little free goodies. And then two different people there asked if they could please help me carry my stuff back out to my car. Every single person in there was so genuinely kind. Thank you thank you thank you to these incredible people on the front lines. It honestly brings me to tears to interact with such beautiful people in these cruel times.

Jennifer Ekedahl My daughter and I visited this church in July for a Sunday service while on holiday from the UK. We were welcomed with open arms and took the opportunity to add our prayers to the collective prayers written on post its and stuck on the walls. I prayed for my friend Carole who has stage 4 cancer; she has three sons and was widowed during COVID. It is early August and the doctors have just confirmed she is responding to immunotherapy and all her tumours have shrunk. It really is a miracle. Thank you for your blessings. My daughter prayed for good exam results - we will find out later this month how she has done. Your church is so amazing and I wish for peace and good health for all of your parishioners. Hopefully we’ll be able to return one day. Jennie

From the moment the congregation started clapping together at the start of my very first service, excited to begin worshipping together, the tears started flowing and all these months later I still have the same response. Im so grateful that NOLA church exists and that the Lord led me there. Im equally grateful to everyone Ive met there for welcoming me in and always being willing to jump right into "real talk" or give words of encouragement. Its such a sweet and exciting place to walk out your faith. Couldnt recommend it enough!

I am now living a more fulfilling life because of my relationship with GOD that was developed through NOLA Church. This is a great community for people of all ages! The services are filled with dynamic worship, Bible based preaching, and are very kid friendly. Definitely a community to check out whether you are a long time believer and are church shopping or if you are just curious about who GOD is and how to connect with the christian faith.
