5 /5 Tina Gaspard: Id been looking for a new church home off and on for about three years and am so grateful to have found NOLA Church. I prayed for a place where I could feel the Spirit of God and receive life-giving teaching without feeling "preached at". From the moment the congregation started clapping together at the start of my very first service, excited to begin worshipping together, the tears started flowing and all these months later I still have the same response. Im so grateful that NOLA church exists and that the Lord led me there. Im equally grateful to everyone Ive met there for welcoming me in and always being willing to jump right into "real talk" or give words of encouragement. Its such a sweet and exciting place to walk out your faith. Couldnt recommend it enough!
5 /5 Christine Baamonde: NOLA Church offers a peaceful atmosphere that envelops you, your friends, and your family. It is laid back, life giving, drama free, and united. The church body draws you in, and you leave always wanting more. Our family is so thankful for the pastors who lay a foundation for a church with a heart to LOVE and SERVE others!
5 /5 Candace S. Schrag: When I moved to New Orleans from the east coast as a young professional I didnt expect to connect with such a wonderful church family.
The lead Pastors at NOLA Church helped me with this huge transition and the congregation of believers welcomed me into their community with open arms!
I am now living a more fulfilling life because of my relationship with GOD that was developed through NOLA Church.
This is a great community for people of all ages!
The services are filled with dynamic worship, Bible based preaching, and are very kid friendly.
Definitely a community to check out whether you are a long time believer and are church shopping or if you are just curious about who GOD is and how to connect with the christian faith.
5 /5 Sommer Raehn Smith: I was brought to NOLA Church through a search on the internet. Seems so unconventional, BUT God definitely had His hand in this connection!
From the moment I stepped through the doors I was welcomed with a peace Ive not experienced anywhere else. The friends Ive made and the walk theyve helped me make towards knowing my God and my purpose is something I am grateful for everyday.
I like that NOLA Church is not just there for me to "check my Sunday Service box". This church is on the move, actively reaching out and connecting people to God. I am thankful.
5 /5 Scotia Boyd: Refreshing and powerful Jesus worship. They were very friendly to me visiting from out of town.
D Schnatz This church is beautiful inside and out. It is a wonderful place to hold a wedding and met every expectation during the event.
I would point out that the banister on the front stairs going down from the church to the street level needs attention. The brass outer rod spins on the banister. So when you think youre reaching out for a handhold you actually have nothing to grip. One elderly lady had that issue and took a tumble down the stairs when she tried to hold on to the railing as she descended.
Madeleine D Just went and got tested for free at City of Love Church in Hollygrove. Yall, these people are saints and such an incredible blessing. Not only did they get me in and out in 5 minutes or less, but they gave me a bag of essential supplies and TWO boxes of food, along with having a table full of extra little free goodies. And then two different people there asked if they could please help me carry my stuff back out to my car. Every single person in there was so genuinely kind.
Thank you thank you thank you to these incredible people on the front lines. It honestly brings me to tears to interact with such beautiful people in these cruel times.
Johnson Candy (candyjohnson68) I was looking for a Church to call home. I grew up in a Presbyterian Church in New York. I tried the Presbyterian Church on St. Charles but it did not feel right. I literally cried the first time I walked in and saw the place. It is beautiful, historic and everyone there is so friendly. My first service I was hugged by most of the congregation. It caught me off guard, but now I walk around and give a warm welcome to everyone there. I was honored to have Reverend Fred marry my husband and me. I am so happy to be a part of the congregation. It is friendly, non judgmental, you leave feeling good about yourself and they always have a pot of coffee on!
Louis and Elaine Our Lady of the Rosary is a lovely older Catholic Church, with several great buildings and a school. The large dome makes it somewhat unique among the other Catholic Churches in the city. It makes a striking presence from Esplanade or from the Bayou Saint John points of view.
Kate Eaves Found by accident while vacationing in New Orleans. My family was raised Catholic but I was not. But something came over me here. It was the most beautiful experience ever. Stop by the shop, buy a candle and light for a loved one!
Nick & Renee Doerfler This group of believers is amazing! Authentic, kind, loving toward one another, and in love with Jesus! We love their weekly house church gatherings as well as the corporate Sunday gathering and our kids love their Sunday class and housechurch gatherings as well!!!
Every single time this church meets, they practice hearing the Lord’s voice together! As a result, everyone here is growing so rapidly in their relationship with the Lord! I have honestly never seen anything like it anywhere else…and we have been in some wonderful churches!
But this place is uniquely on another level as it attempts to model itself after the early church described in Acts! LOVE IT HERE!! Look forward to every meeting! Definitely check it out for yourself! You won’t regret it!!
Lori bauman We were visiting New Orleans because my son is going to o be attending Tulane . The people in this church welcomed us so genuinely . We were so touched by their hospitality . The service was beautiful and the music so powerful !
Phillips Robinette One of my favorite assignments, but what I loved best were the people there! Down-to-earth, loving, authentic (as in real!) a true joy to know! I miss them greatly.
