3 /5 Matt: I brought in my 2019 BMW 330 xDrive after going over a curb in a snowstorm. To my surprise, the damage totaled $23,255, and I dropped the car off on March 12th. The work they did was good, but I do have some complaints.
The first complaint is about the amount of time it took for the repairs—it took over two months. They would call me in early April, giving me hope that it was almost ready, but then a part would arrive damaged, or some other issue would come up. I was told my vehicle would be ready that Friday, or if not, the following week. However, it ended up taking three more weeks, after many phone calls and emails, before I was finally able to pick up the car.
The second complaint is that they sent my car to Reno without my permission. They needed to have a calibration done, which required sending it to a specialist. Had they simply called me, I could have come to the shop and flashed my car to stock myself. Instead, the specialist flashed my car to stock and locked my ECU.
The third complaint is that my vehicle came back with a new door ding that I had never seen before. I inquired about it, but they refused to take accountability since it happened while the car was out of my possession. It’s possible that a tow truck caused it while bringing the car in, or perhaps a pine cone fell on it since it sat there for two months. Additionally, it seems they rested something on my roof, as the clear coat is now damaged and will need to be cut and polished.
Overall, they do good work, but if you’re in a hurry or paying out of pocket for your rental like I was, you might want to ask upfront how long it will take. Had I known it would take over two months for mostly suspension work, I would have purchased a cheap car to get around town. The staff is friendly, and the owner is nice and has some cool cars.
