T H Westfield Reserve -

Peter Campbell Nice park with large open green space next to Merri Creek. Large open roofed building good for barbecues and picnics. Their is a narrow sealed shared trail through it that bikes and pedestrians can use but its poorly marked. Off lead area for dogs.

Penders Park - Thornbury

Jimmy K Good evening to everyone except the people who feel the need to drive into Penders Park, very frequently. Wether theyre expectant mothers, or young people who have some other excuse, fact is they do not work for the local council, and while this unlawful, they are placing people of all ages at risk. There are children running around at busy times and aging people with specific needs. Please be respectful & mindful of this.

With its wide open lawns, elegant tree-lined paths, and vibrant flowerbeds, the view is simply stunning. Its a perfect place for a peaceful walk, a family picnic, or just to sit and enjoy nature. Quarries Park - Clifton Hill

Paul Richards A nice park with a brilliantly designed playground for kids, including a big slide and lots of sand. Beware of dogs though - some people let their dogs loose inside the playground, despite the signs. Its very well connected to the Merri Creek Trail. The car park usually has lots of space, at least on weekdays, and its also easily walkable from Clifton Hill station.

Darling Gardens - Clifton Hill

Andrew Guy Darling Gardens is a very scenic and reasonably quiet park. Its a great spot for meeting because it is on several bus lines and is a stones throw from Clifton Hill station, and another stones throw from the tram lines on Queens Parade. It has a nice playground area. The only drawback is that the public toilets are quite far from the playground. But once that is surmounted it is a great place for a family get-together. Remember to bring your own tables and chairs.
