Rhiannon Malone This place is a wonderful hands on country vibe sanctuary in the inner city area. There are so many animals roaming around for kids to observe and pat. The goats, chickens, guinea pigs, pigs and sheep were very popular with my daughter. The expansive vege garden is brilliant. I loved this place so much after my first visit that I bought an annual membership. An excellent activity for families or people trying to entertain little kids whilst also teaching them about the environment, animals and sustainability.

p Y Wilsons reserve is one of my favourite places for an easy accessible escape. Within 5 min walk from the boulevard you are immediately immersed in nature with the sounds of the birds taking you to another world. Many walks to take from this location that can range from a quick 15 min lloop to an entire day walk and everything in between. Love, love, love this place.

Paul Richards A nice park with a brilliantly designed playground for kids, including a big slide and lots of sand. Beware of dogs though - some people let their dogs loose inside the playground, despite the signs. Its very well connected to the Merri Creek Trail. The car park usually has lots of space, at least on weekdays, and its also easily walkable from Clifton Hill station.

Senarath Angammana Beautiful and Peaceful Escape – Carlton Gardens, Melbourne Carlton Gardens is one of the most beautiful and relaxing green spaces in Melbourne. With its wide open lawns, elegant tree-lined paths, and vibrant flowerbeds, the view is simply stunning. Its a perfect place for a peaceful walk, a family picnic, or just to sit and enjoy nature. The gardens are very well maintained, clean, and full of charm. Youll also find some interesting features like fountains, a lake, and the historic Royal Exhibition Building right in the middle, adding to the area’s cultural appeal. Whether youre a local or a visitor, Carlton Gardens is a must-visit spot for some calm and beauty in the heart of the city.

Peter Campbell Nice bush setting close to the Yarra River with billabongs and some walking and mountain biking tracks. The Main Yarra Trail (shared bike and pedestrian) traverses the park following the river
