Precision Tune Auto Care - Temple (TX)

1 /5 Shawnese: I will never take my business to this place again. They possibly saw a woman coming and thought I was "clueless". My daughters car was squealing when started. I assumed it was the serpentine belt. The guy at the front desk said it could be that multiple belts could need replacing. He quoted me $275 including diagnostic, if it was the serpentine belt. I also asked a quote for wiper replacement. He said $45. The mechanic was nice & seemed honest when he did a quick check & told us that all the belts were pretty much new. He thought only some tightening was needed, which he did some adjustments while we were standing there. He wanted to keep the car a few hours & see if it made the noise. When I went to pick up the car, I was told I owed $391! He told me that the mechanic had to tighten some things around the belts. When I asked if he had to remove any parts to make the adjustments, he said no & his explanation made no since. Then he states that he would adjust the cost & took it down to $300, still didnt make sense. On the invoice I was charged $90 for them replacing the wipers! ($15 per wiper & $30 a piece for each one) I was also charged $135 for an hour of labor, when he made the adjustments while we were standing there in about 10 or 15 minutes max. The front desk guy continues to make excuses about tariffs & how much a dealership would charge. It is sad. How do people sleep at night??

1 /5 Adayja: Don’t go here if you’re a girl because they treat women bad and take advantage of them. You can’t trust any mechanics without them trying to lie to you. They tried to charge us 500 dollars for putting windshield wipers and tightening some things in the car. The original was 275 to change the belts but we didn’t even need any belts replaced. Honestly stereotypical bad mechanics that take advantage of people.

1 /5 roman Salazar: Was not satisfied at all. They wanted to charge me 630 dollars for a shraded valve for my A/C. Took it to a family mechanic and told me it was an easy fix and charged me WAY less. Needless to say my A/C works great no thanks to precision Auto. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

5 /5 Kalei Heath: Ok so I took my dodge in for an alternator issue and man was it pricey. It’s absolutely not their fault though it’s just a classic dodge surprise! It came with a 12k mile warranty. Yesterday my car threw the battery light while driving and I just knew it had to be that alternator. The battery was brand new and tested to ensure it was in working condition. I had to hobble my car to precision auto care on hopes and crossed fingers. It made it there and he told me i was at 10k miles of the warranty so it would be covered. I thought that I’d still have to pay for them to replace it which really had me stressing. All I had is a motorcycle to rely on which is great but not when storms are expected within the next couple of days. These people took my car in and had it out same day at zero cost. I can’t even explain how much they really saved the day for me. They didn’t cause any hassle, they didn’t try to rip me off, they are amazing! Really great service compared to every single mechanic shop I’ve ever taken my car to. These are trustworthy people and if anything ever goes wrong with my car, that’s who I’m taking it to! Thank you again!!!!
