1 /5 Osvaldo Vazquez: walked on the ER at 6:54PM with my 67 year old mother with history of breast cancer with a complaint for shortness of breath. 4 hours later the waiting room emptied and filled 3X and very noticeably people that were not Hispanic came and went and my mother still struggling with shortness of breath kept being told “you are #2 so don’t go; you should be next”. Many people Came and went. It really speaks to patients when you see someone come in through the doors, they sit for vitals, and 5 minutes later they get called in while you been waiting for hours. It happened often until we decided to just go ahead and go elsewhere that will follow a triage protocol based on medical emergencies and not on DEI/look like me type of protocol. As we were walking out we got called. Dr saw her and said: Tylenol/Motrin after the only “exam” they did was look in her throat. Nothing else. JPS is the only place that will make you feel that the color of your skin/DEI will actually get you seen faster.

1 /5 Jaqueline Ortega: My husband had surgery at the ER the ER Ppl are pretty good and attentive, fast and caring HOWEVER i did not appreciate the fact that the doctor was making it impossible for us to get his disability paper work filled out when we’re asking for it to be filled out since before the surgery they reassured us that it would get done and it was not filled out until a whole week after surgery which caused a delay and we did not receive a check because of that since Unum still takes 5 business days to review it it’s sooooo inconsiderate since no one is going to pay our bills But us . And the nurse he got in the purple elevators 6 floor was so aggressive and didn’t care about his discomfort. The floor was sooo hot as well . The person he shared a room with was not cared for as well he had his own complaints and the phlebotomist that drew his blood jabbed herself and tried blaming him yet he was half asleep ,, how is she not paying attention to what the heck she’s doing for gods sake . NEVER getting care here again. Y’all’s workers are rude and useless over the phone we called to get info on How we could get more paperwork to the doctor and insteadddd they sent him a note to return to work which is not what we asked for . The doctor gave him a MONTH to recover and they gave him a note to return claiming the doctor cleared him to go to work yet he didn’t mention that at his appointment the day before … and the only reason we didn’t have the paper work then was because his job sent it the next day .. super complicated y’all need to help the patients not make them more stressed out as they are already going through a lot . No one new anything never going back

They will mess up your file, tests and everything else! Dont come here to have a baby for sure. They all need to be tested for drug use. RUN RUN RUN! You all have been warned!

4 /5 Charlotte Faulkner: Jps is a great hospital. The resources,equipment, and training are top notch for the volume of people they serve.my only complaint is the pharmacy that has 7 help windows and they never seem to open more than 3. There are usually too many people in line for only 3 windows. Its common to spend an hour in line.
