Best 14 MD and Hospital near Round Rock, TX (Part 4)

Patrick Weidl Dr. Christopher Putney at Family Medicine Associates of Round Rock has been my primary doctor since 2018, and I couldn’t ask for better care. He is attentive, knowledgeable, and always takes the time to listen to my concerns. Over the years, he has truly helped me improve my health and well-being. I’m grateful to have such a dedicated and caring physician.

Joe Lindquist I cant take it anymore! I am done with this doctors office. As many other reviews point out. Things were wonderful when Dr. David was my doctor. He retired 2 years ago and things have gotten worse and worse. This doctors office doesnt treat you like a patient or even a person. All you are to them is a number or even worse, just a pay day. I scheduled an appointment, just so I could get my prescription refilled, a prescription I have been on for 6 years and really dont need a check up on to get my refill. When I got there I was informed that I was there for a physical. I thought odd, but ok. Then when I said i was supposed to be there for a prescription refill, I was told I would have to schedule another appointment for that. Really? Doctor Wong cant spend an extra two minutes to fill my prescription. I declined the physical so I could get my prescription refilled. I will now be finding a new primary care physician and letting anyone who will listen to AVOID this place at all cost.

Allison McClain Baylor, Scott and White is the best hospital I’ve ever used for all of my medical necessities. Their staff are all very attentive and compassionate my sincerest gratuities go out to Yareli, Gina and Connor in ICU. Where I was a person and not a number. Yareli went above and beyond and escorted me to my transportation all the while I felt like a celebrity. She even made me re carpet worth after washing, and braiding my hair that hadn’t seen a brush for some time. Thanks to everyone who took care of me. Allison

Sandra Anderson I couldn’t wait to come to this site to leave a review. I was beyond happy for the care my son received from Dr. Young, leading up to his admission in the hospital. From the receptionist, his nurses and all who cared for him. You have proven to me that I am not just a number. Keep up the good work. Your rewards are in heaven.

Jen C The staff is always caring and sympathetic. Scheduling and rescheduling is very easy. Dr. Nihar Patel is very patient and listens to my concerns. Hes the best physician there.

Kyle Ward I think the team is very well intentioned, but getting imaging scheduled is incredibly difficult and frustrating. Even after an appointment is scheduled, It’s not complete. The amount of time spend herding cats is unacceptable and frustrating. It doesn’t help that the portal doesn’t work. Perhaps I can send your office a bill for the amount of time wasted. Do better and own it!

PONCH CAS Dr. Philip is amazing. Her attention to detail and time she spends with you makes you feel appreciated. Her staff is also very helpful and polite. You can tell this office has pride in what they do and as a patient I always feel welcomed.

Brenda Miles I have been with Dr. Phillips over 10 years. She is a professional Dr. Very knowledgeable. Her staff is the same. I have called with a problem in the early morning, that afternoon I will be in the office. If I need to see someone else, she makes the call. I will recommend Dr. Phillips to anyone looking for a very good Dr. with running a professional practice. Brenda Miles

Angelica Aguilar Always such a great experience, the doctors are so patient, kind, and reassuring, the nurses are super friendly, and child life services are just amazing. The combined difference they make during a difficult time is unmatched. And the small stuffed animals that match the procedure is a genius idea, made my son so happy to have it by his side during both surgeries and after!

Samantha Sutton My dad was transferred here from Marble Falls. Once we arrived we werent here for 30 minutes and had people helping us left and right. Everyone was very caring and concerned about my dad and his ongoing situation. Brande M. Was the nurse on staff when we arrived. She was great! Very professional and friendly. She got dad all cleaned up and go doctors in to see us very quickly. Carmelo Otero, Jonathon Calderon, Michael Ladogana were great as well very informative, professional, friendly, & sensitive. Maria A. Was the nurse after Brande and she was great! Very friendly and patient. Sarah L. & Isabel were Very nice, friendly, & attentive. Hazel M. Was a great nurse very understanding and friendly. Darrius C. Came in to help me with my dad I am very grateful for him he was able to give me a much needed break! Neel Shah came in to talk with dad during his confusion after anesthesia and was very patient and kind. Jeffrey F was the wound care nurse and he was AMAZING. very informative and patient with my dad in dressing his wound and oliostomy bag. Gave me alot of information. The ladies in the IR were GREAT. I know the Doctor was busy he was in and out real quick after dropping off consent forms. There was a doctor that asked my dad about DNR right after he got back into the room after his procedure clearly not I the right head space seeing things flying around. He was going to put it in his chart to DNR because dad said yes while on medication. I said please dont do that he is not coherent to be making those kind of decisions. He tried to convince me to do a DNR because dad has cancer and there us no cure. I dont want to put him though that. Other than that this has been the best baylor scott and white weve been to. The security guards ar the entrance of the hospital at 9pm on the 26th were awesome. Very friendly and funny! There are others I didnt mention but I cant remember their names! Please praise the ones I listed!! Were still here so there is alot more people!

James Holman Look I was at the Waco hospital the other day and was admitted and I left because they had to be the worst freaking staff I ever have had when I got to my room. Er was very good ,but not once I got to my room . But Im at this bsw in round Rock and they have been wonderful the whole time I been here. Its sad because one hospital can make all of the same hospitals look bad, but Im so thankful for this staff here. The whole staff here top to bottom needs a raise . Thank you bsw in Round Rock for everything so far to this point. Im still here at the hospital. I was admitted for chronic pancreatitis and idk when Ill get out . But Im not worried now because knock on wood these pple are wonderful.

DeAngel Brown Dr. Cheelopalle is amazing. She didnt mind answering any questions we had. Our appt was for 2:15. We were called back by 2:20.

Mildred We’ve been seen by 3 doctors at this location so far Dr.Tran, Dr. Rogers and Dr. Wilkins. And now by our new Dentist Dr. Roopa. Everyone is so kind and welcoming we never have trouble scheduling or rescheduling. Nurses keep track of my baby lab results and the appointments for the referrals we got to the specialists. If you have trouble making an appointment over the phone just use their website or go in person! They’ll be happy to help you. Keep in mind you are not their only patient they have thousands more people! so be KIND and POLITE I promise you will have a better experience than being rude and unkind.

Pedro Gonzalez Theyll turn down veterans in a heartbeat. After being approved twice consecutively and currently. You get disqualified for them not doing their job.

Laurie Andrews I had a great experience here! Both the techs who took care of me were great.I had an echo and a stress test. They both talked to me and made me feel at ease. I recommend this place for any cardiac testing. As a heath care worker my self (dental) I understand how hard it can be to make someone feel uncomfortable . If you need a payment plan call ahead, use the cost estimate and do your research. They were very accommodating and worked with me and were up front about my options. That made me feel better prepared for my visit. Thank you for taking care of me .

Erica Jackson My son had to have a looper monitor implanted for his heart. We were told that the procedure would occur at 1:30, and that we should be there an hour ahead of the appointment (which we were). An hour after the procedure time, I was told "40 minutes". It was over another hour. They are either overbooked or understaffed. It is obvious that they are more concerned with the payroll than they are for the care of their patients. I worry that this is indicative of a "hospital" (read: a building meant to squeeze blood from a turnip by holding your childs health hostage) that cares far more with keeping costs down, rather than keeping any sort of professional standard high. From start to finish, the lack of professionalism and respect by the doctor and the staff was astounding. Additionally, when trying to give the hospital the chance to correct this foundational disrespect and foundational lack of professionalism, they didnt even see an issue. Because why would they? Were just peasants that should shut up and not complain. Dont bother calling the administration, as it takes DAYS for them to respond, and only if you call back repeatedly. This was the first step in what will likely be a years long diagnosis and treatment plan. This was a MONITOR, not a CURE. My wife and I have decided that, in the interest of our sons health, we will need to cut ties with this facility, and are looking for a more professional/respectful cardiologist. We believe that the lack of has shown that we should expect substandard care from Heart Hospital. You wouldnt hire anyone else that showed up this late and acted like this. Hell, if WE had shown up too late, they would have turned us away and STILL charged us for the appointment.

Roger Prichard Dr. Tran has been our family physician for about 8 years. We like that she has a strong focus on preventive care. Even so, we have been happy with the acute care as well. Always quick to respond when we need something.

Chris Dr Tran has been my doctor for several years. I always get the best care and the staff is very courteous and professional. My last visit I had blood drawn and Taylor, who is the newest staff member, did such an awesome job at drawing my blood. I always get an appointment within a very reasonable timeframe and I would highly recommend Dr Tran and her staff.

Monique M. The absolute worst medical office experience Ive ever had. Not only did the nurse give me passive aggressive attitude for being late to our very last minute appointment because my kid was very sick and needed to be seen. She also barely prepared my young child, age 6, for the procedure for a covid 19 test - she shoved it up my kids nose with barely a warning, shocking him. Then come to find out they dont have me as a guarantor on my childs account when I should be and to top the whole thing off I was billed HUNDREDS of dollars only to find out the insurance wasnt billed at all. I spent 20 minutes on a call with someone who I could barely understand trying to sort this out. I will NEVER use this office again. The sad part is that our PCP Dr. Christopher Lewis is always great but this is a new office for him and he will now lose me and my child as patients.

Love_ Jazzmine I had an appointment just to get blood drawn. I waited in the room for 45min to see a doctor and she didn’t come in. While I was waiting in the room all I hear on the other side of the door is people laughing and playing. No way a patient should be waiting in a room for 45min just to get blood drawn when they aren’t busy. I walked upfront to the receptionist and they were confused on what took so long. Don’t recommend and will not be returning.

Trudy m Dr Chen hates a chronic pain patient taking pain meds. He said that to my face. I should never have been sent to him in the first place. Im not an addict Im a pain patient. I have early onset arthritis all over my body. 30 yrs of pain mgmt. 30 yrs of monthly UAs. I always had my pill counts right too.

sharon barnard Dr. Chen is incredibly knowledgeable and one of the most intelligent doctors who has helped me. He took the time to teach me about my pain and help me understand that more drugs are not in my best interest. Although Dr. Chen is very kind, I do not go to him to get sympathy. He informed me about Pain Reprocessing Therapy which teaches you to perceive pain signals sent to the brain as less threatening. PRT may help to relieve chronic pain I am very grateful to him for telling me about this. Dr. Chen is generous with his time and has exemplary communication skills. He is a a doctor worth knowing.
