5 /5 Angelica Aguilar: Always such a great experience, the doctors are so patient, kind, and reassuring, the nurses are super friendly, and child life services are just amazing. The combined difference they make during a difficult time is unmatched. And the small stuffed animals that match the procedure is a genius idea, made my son so happy to have it by his side during both surgeries and after!

1 /5 Verlisa Bryant: First and foremost, I want to thank all the nurses did the surgery on my daughter, and it did turn out well. The upsetting part that I had was her surgery. I arrived at 12:20 PM, And her was supposed to be at two? Shes already prepped for her surgery, but we were left in the room, waiting on her surgery for over an hour and not knowing whats going on. And why are we still waiting? I do understand that doctors get behind on things. Things dont always go as planned, but at least have someone to come in and tell your next patient. Why theyre being delayed? I didnt eat or drink anything the night before. Because of my daughter couldnt I wanted to feel like she did, but anyway, her surgery was supposed to be at 2 PM. We didnt leave the hospital until 6:09 PM. And mind you Her surgery was just a 15 to 20 minute surgery. PS I wasnt even offered cup of water.

5 /5 Jamie Kennedy: We recently moved here and it took quite a long time to get this Neurology Appointment, but it was worth the wait. The team was very kind, listened well, and took plenty of time to review my daughter’s history, asked lots of questions, and made us feel we were in good hands. This is a tall task because my daughter’s previous Neurologist was absolutely AMAZING! I would definitely recommend Dell Children’s Medical Center Neurology Department to anyone!

5 /5 depots MMB: I felt decreased fetal movement when I was 34 weeks pregnant with my second child, who had several genetic defects and was already facing a challenging situation. When I got to the SDU on November 30th, Nurse Karla greeted me with such compassion and held my hand while the team was checking for a heartbeat and finally, movement via ultrasound. It was discovered that my baby had passed away in utero. Nurse Karla was instrumental in my survival over the next 72 hours as I was grieving while giving birth, and eventually, grieving while holding and loving on my child before I had to say goodbye. She felt like family, providing such an exceptional level of care, including being attentive, being a listening ear, holding space for my emotions whatever they may be, and also nursing me back to a healing place as I had gestational hypertension and fever. She explained everything so that there was no confusion, made clear our every option every step of the way, and advocated for us in a way that I have to say she was an absolute Angel for us. She was so sweet with our babygirl, held me while I cried, bathed our daughter with us and chose the best outfit- and she took the most amazing photos of our family in the hardest moments, creating a wonderful album and inviting other programs to consult us regarding all of our wishes and needs. I’ve never known care of that quality in my entire life, even with my firstborn’s birth. Our nurses and care team were exceptional at their jobs, their hearts pure, their energy warm, and they truly saved me from despair during the hardest time of my life, prioritizing my dignity with the upmost respect. Because of them, I’m able to continue on and while I know this grief will be life-long, I will never, ever forget what nurse Karla and the amazing doctors and staff did for me or their incredible kindness.
