2 /5 marcela gomez: Their treatment for patients is 4 stars both in the Emergency Room and in hospital stay ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️ But they are extremely far away that you need to take the B12 bus to and from the last subway train stop on the 6 train and make sure you’re at the correct bus stop leaving this hospital because there are 3 bus stops that only certain B12 buses stop at and they will not stop to pick you up regardless if it’s 2am if they don’t make stops there EVEN THOUGH NONE OF THESE STOPS EXPLAINS THIS; and the wait is long and scary late at night so for this I give them zero stars. My last point is at this hospital for some insane reason a psychiatrist has more authority over a Medical Doctor who only works morning shifts Monday through Friday who clears your loved one to be released but then comes a lower level doctor in the evening who rejects the patient’s release due to a psychiatrist wanting to put your loved one on yet more medication WHICH IS THE REASON FOR THEIR ADMISSION TO BEGIN WITH which is medications are cause of your loved one’s fainting spell, constant stomach pain, headaches, and anxiety that prevents them to drink fluids or eat food. *****UPDATE******
after an entire day of bugging the nurse about finding out when would a doctor or psychiatrist come and talk to us for clarification they finally sent someone to explain that they were keeping my loved one over night again just to see how he’s doing on just one medication that had nothing to do with why he was admitted allegedly but it is wonderful news and my final review is Jacobi hospital staff/ nurses, ER nurses/Doctors are ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and their main doctor is clear and knowledgeable but who only works day shift is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ but the tedious wait in communication is 1 ⭐️. Regardless of the long wait I recommend this hospital over others including Essence Lincoln Mount Sinai & NYU.
