2 /5 Javier: They are nice but charged me 75 bucks to put my car on the lift and then refuse to work on it. Typically if refusing work you wouldn’t charge as courtesy but oh well. Didn’t diagnose anything either. Complete waste of time and money.

3 /5 Sarah Jamison: They seem like good mechanics but need to work on scheduling! I made a 9:00 appt for an inspection and was told it would be one hour. 5 hours later I’m still waiting…. Apparently it’s one hour from the time it goes into the shop, which who knows when that will be. That was not communicated, I would have made other plans if I’d known.

5 /5 William Wades: Quality outfit, explained all the issues clearly, warned us before hand about the unknowns & didnt force us towards replacing parts if they didnt need replacing. Will def recommend!

1 /5 Cole Jarvis: Hate to do it, but I have to give them 1 star. I went to them for a pre purchase inspection of a car I was buying in Ithaca (I’m from Syracuse so this isn’t my normal mechanic). Trusted them with the inspection as they would have nothing to gain from a car that would go back with me to Syracuse. They told me the rotors were basically gone and one was in desperate need of a change. I told this to the dealership who said it wasn’t true, they re looked at the car and it seemed to be in great shape. I figured the dealership was just trying to close a sale and the deal almost fell through. We negotiated a bit more and I bought the car. Coming back to Syracuse, I brought the car to my mechanic, I trust them whole heartedly. Car comes back 100% no issues reported (from the mechanics that WOULD profit from repairs). Not sure what they thought they would get from lying about this but regardless, I lost all faith in them. Glad it didnt ruin the deal!

1 /5 Allie Scheibner: Used to be trustworthy when they weren’t as popular. Still super expensive. As time went on they just screwed me over more and more. Paid $3300 to get my Driveshaft replaced and was told I absolutely needed four all new tires even though only one went flat and they had just been put on. Only to go to a new mechanic closer to town and find out after all the time and money that it’s already leaking and I need to keep an eye on it. Also, my car only started making a LOUD clanking noise after I went to them. I took it back to make sure it wasn’t anything serious and they said “nope it’s suspension” “it’s just suspension” Only for me to again be at my new trustworthy mechanic, and then to tell me what’s actually wrong is that my torque mounts were broken and my engine cradle was loose. They fixed it for $400 in 3 hours, no more noise. Also they charged $700 for just front break pads and rotors. My new mechanic charged me $600 for front AND rear pads and rotors… My entire family goes to our new mechanic now and needless to say, none of us have had any new issues. Long story short, if you’re a younger woman, or a woman at all. Don’t go here, they entirely took advantage of me. The amount of money I paid to them only to end up with nothing fixed, or more serious problems… Not worth it. Steer clear of Hunts.
