Holy Name of Jesus Church - brooklyn - Brooklyn (NY)

Carl Petter Opsahl St. Lydia is a relatively small Lutheran community in Brooklyn. Every Sunday and Monday they celebrate Dinner worship, an eucharistic meal with songs and prayers. There is an low key, welcoming atmosphere here that makes you at home. The meals are delicious, and the people working there are wonderful.

I am so grateful that they are in the community as examples of how Jesus cared for people no matter their background or circumstances. Altagracia Fernandez My daughter invited me to visit this church and now, every time I visit NY I want to go back. The welcoming is so inviting and sincere that you feel that you belong there. The priests are realy guiding the community towards Jesus. Even when mass is finished they want to make sure that you are always welcome not knowing that you are the one that doesnt want to leave that sacred environment.
