What Clients Are Saying Word of Life Church - rock island (GG)
5 /5 New Heart: My wife and I have been in ministry for over 15 years, and we have been attending Word Of Life for 4 years since moving to the Quad Cities. I remember when we moved in to our home how Pastor Tanner and his mother-in-law and his wife and several other people were there to welcome us with food and to lend us a hand with the moving. Pastor Tanner has mentored me these past four years and I count myself richly blessed to have him pour into my life. He has taught me much about grace, patience, and the love of Jesus Christ. The church family at large are also very welcoming, helpful, and loving as well. We are very happy indeed to call Word of Life our home church.
5 /5 Jennifer Schrempf: We walked in and the first thing that greeted us was friendly faces along with hugs. After we found the childrens ministry, we sat down. Then we found ourselves being hugged some more and welcomed. Instantly, we thought this would be our church home. We love our Rock Island community and wanted a community minded church. Word of life welcomes you exactly where you are at and walks along side you. They want to to help you grow in your walk with Christ and love on you. You will be challenged in your faith. You will walk away and never be the same again. Exactly the way God intends for your life.
5 /5 Patty Jo: They are very welcoming and make everyone feel like they belong. (Non judgemental attitudes) Fun and exciting area for children to learn and experience together. The sermon is upbeat and offers live music. Comfortable atmosphere and leaves a good feeling in your heart even after you leave. Good place to connect to God and other fellow believers. With God, all is possible.
5 /5 Nicole Campbell: My home away from home. I had a hard time finding a church where I felt comfortable and and accepted. This is the place. There is a great mix of people from many backgrounds and ethnicities. WOL also does lots of community outreach witch is important to me. And i promise you will not get bored listening to the pastor here. And best of all you can really feel The Lord here. No complaints from me.
5 /5 Quad Cities Native: Before it was renovated into a church, this building was a Jewish synagogue. The beautiful stain-glass windows in the sanctuary are worth seeing. This church has a food pantry for the community on the first Saturday of every month. Church members are kind and welcoming to strangers.

Valerie Everly I am very impressed with this church in the heart of a neighborhood and their heart for the people in the neighborhood. A Bible based church, teaching God and His truth. People of all ages, backgrounds, and beliefs are welcome. I would recommend this church to anyone looking for a new home church, or a church to visit when you visit the area.
Tyler Claypool Sacred City church is relatively small church, but very friendly. Everyone there is so nice. One of my favorite things about this church is it has a nice blend of traditional and contemporary style of worship. I would recommend this church if you are a believer or someone looking for answers.
Pat Phelan New Hope is a great church that reaches out to long term members, new members, and potential members. They are embracing technology, looking to include new families, keep kids in the church, and reach out to the community.
If you dont have a church that you love today, stop by and spend a Sunday morning with us!
Mark Carlson I have been a member of the church since I was very young. The congregation is small and aging but very friendly and open. The facilities are built long ago but well maintained. It is home.
