Anitra Bearfield I was a member from 2004 to 2010 and it is a great church, pastor Larry Forte is great and he is real and the congregation is great, they welcone everyone with open arms. I moved is the reason i no longer attend if I still lived in Athens I would still be going. If anyone is looking for a good church home New Freedom is one of the best.

Alex Cash If you are hungry for the Lord and seek the riches in the Word of God, you need to fellowship with this group of believers! They have a dedicated Bible study for local students that meets on the UGA campus!

Susie Thrasher My family attended Christmas Eve services at Saint Stephen’s. It was so inspirational and beautiful we were overwhelmed. The choir did a magnificent job. The Eucharist was delivered in a reverent and meaningful way. Thank you St Stephen’s family

Love: we come alongside one another and encourage each other in our pilgrimages with God! We love God and love people! Diversity: I always brag on our church for this. You will see and be friends with people of all colors and all nations. I eat often after church with the Philippino Fellowship and the African fellowship! Dez Partlow-Greer Pastor Sammy literally went above and beyond to make sure myself and my husband felt welcome. He took time out of his schedule to send me a welcome video. We came on a Sunday as well where they did a meet, and greet which was nice. We were able to talk with the pastor and his wife Brittany. We even saw some familiar faces which was nice. You are greeted in the parking lot, and when you get in the church. Also there’s free coffee. I love the small intimate feel. The church is held at the Athens cotton mill. Pastor Sammy said they come in early every Sunday, and set up the church. That’s impressive.

S H This is a wonderful and welcoming church. Lots of diversity. Pastor David speaks truth in love. They really believe in teaching people about the word of God and being able to share it with others with love and clarity. There’s something for everyone here.

Natalia Ellis This was our first actual church many years ago. We also got married here. So many wonderful people. We miss them terribly. We moved to another state, but if we ever moved back to Athens this is where we would be.
