5 /5 Dez Partlow-Greer: Pastor Sammy literally went above and beyond to make sure myself and my husband felt welcome. He took time out of his schedule to send me a welcome video. We came on a Sunday as well where they did a meet, and greet which was nice. We were able to talk with the pastor and his wife Brittany. We even saw some familiar faces which was nice. You are greeted in the parking lot, and when you get in the church. Also there’s free coffee. I love the small intimate feel. The church is held at the Athens cotton mill. Pastor Sammy said they come in early every Sunday, and set up the church. That’s impressive.

The services are truly uplifting, with an amazing worship atmosphere that makes every visit special. Pastors Sammy and Brittany are awesome leaders and the sermons are incredibly applicable to my day-to-day activities. The church has played a significant role in my spiritual growth journey and has deepened my faith in the infinite powers of God. I can proudly say that God truly dwells at FRAIS. What stands out most is the warmth and friendliness of the servant leaders and members alike. They create a welcoming environment that feels like family, making each visit feel like coming home. I’m grateful my wife and I were introduced to FRAIS church by our friend. I look forward to continually being a part of this incredible family!

Also, the church is very big on outreach and they go the extra mile to help those in their church that are in need. Very multicultural church. Would highly recommend this church if you’re looking for a place of worship.

Both Lead Pastors do the best they can to build connection and relationships with everyone that walks in! Alice Rose I have suffered religious wounding at a young age in a hell fire church. So much so that I would not set foot in a Christian church for decades. The approach to Christ by the ministry heals that wounding. Then too there is the loving care shown by the congregation.

Athens Church - Beechwood

Ben Blythe We absolutely love this church. The community is incredible. Both of our boys are loved on each Sunday and look forward to their mornings with the Athens Church volunteers. Our oldest who has autism is cared for by a great group of leaders who are able to adapt to his needs and make each Sunday a great experience for him.

Hill Chapel Baptist Church

T This is a awesome church. They very inviting to everyone. Very educational. They have regular service, Bible study, on Saturdays the church gives out food, childrens church, dance team and a great choir! I am renewed and bless every time I attend.

The Catholic Center at the University of Georgia

Christine Wright We have loved attending Mass at the Catholic Center for decades. I had a beautiful wedding there in 1995. The priests leading the Church there today are warm and inviting. It’s also a very inclusive atmosphere. The Catholic Center is a wonderful church for a student, a single person, or someone with a family.

Athens Church of Christ

Jim C Very engaging & welcoming community of believers of Jesus Christ. They have a great childrens ministry with caring and loving staff and teachers. Church is a diverse community of young and old and from different ethnicities which is very refreshing. They worship with and without musical instruments. Loved the message on spiritual giving.

Campus View Church of Christ

Natalia Ellis This was our first actual church many years ago. We also got married here. So many wonderful people. We miss them terribly. We moved to another state, but if we ever moved back to Athens this is where we would be.
