5 /5 Rob Lappa: Excellent surgeon. Experienced, detailed, mindful, friendly and very professional. Many doctors recommend him. His dedication to surgery and ability to educate and reassure patients is impressive. UPDATE: Had a second surgery with Dr. Hsu over 4 years after my first surgery and still find him to be a fantastic surgeon and an extremely professional and friendly physician. If all doctors were even half as caring, skilled and focused as Dr. Hsu, it would transform health care in this country. I hope he has as many years of practice ahead of him as he wishes and will recommend him to anyone who needs a surgeon without the slightest hesitation.

I felt like I was in good hands immediately and I continued to feel that way from the beginning to the end of my surgery. He was very knowledgeable and informative. I was pain free and have been healing up with no pain meds and no complications. He also preformed a colon surgery on my niece and we were all so impressed by his caring nature for his patients. Prior to being diagnosed with colon cancer, for several years I had been misdiagnosed with colitis, diverticulitis, and other GI-related issues. I had surgery booked to remove a potential mass 1 month after diagnosis, at which time, I became very ill and was hospitalized. During my hospitalization, I had been treated for C-Diff, ulcerative colitis, and eventually sepsis. This is where I met Dr. Hsu, who immediately stepped in and recommended not waiting to perform surgery as I had planned with another surgeon a month later. Post-surgery, he let me know that I had a baseball-sized mass that could have ruptured and caused serious risks and was largely the reason I had been hospitalized with other infections up until surgery. Dr. Hsus expertise and compassion shone through at every step of the journey. He took the time to explain my condition in a way that was easy to understand, and his reassuring presence provided me with a sense of hope during a difficult time.The surgery he performed to remove the mass was nothing short of remarkable. His precision and skill are second to none, and the entire medical team that works with him is top-notch. Thanks to his dedication and expertise, I emerged from the surgery successfully and on the path to recovery. Not only is Dr. Hsu an outstanding surgeon, but he is also a genuinely caring and kind human being. He went above and beyond to ensure that I and my family felt supported throughout the entire process. His bedside manner is impeccable, and he truly cares about his patients well-being.
