1 /5 Sara Barraza: I am deeply disappointed with the care my mother received at UCLA West Hills Hospital. She was admitted with CHF and aortic stenosis, yet was discharged far too soon, despite her serious condition. Within just three days, there was no follow-up or call from the cardiologist, leaving us feeling abandoned and unsupported.
The discharge process was especially upsetting—the nurse seemed more anxious to get her out than to ensure she was ready or stable enough to leave. It was clear that the focus was on quantity over quality of care. This experience was unacceptable, and we will not be returning to this hospital. Patients deserve better.
