1 /5 Maggie Medina: Im a new patient, I called Dr. Hamiltons office to make an appointment but I was told that I couldnt get an appointment until I fill out some paperwork. I asked if I can make an appointment anyway and fill out the paperwork at my appointment and they said "NO, you have to fill the paperwork out first, then we will call you to make an appointment."! Its apparent that they care more about paperwork than actually helping people and making them feel better. With all these bad ratings that Ive see and my own personal experience with this doctors office...she (Dr. Hamilton) should lose her license and her practice due to the lack of care for peoples well being and sub par customer service. What a DISGRACE!

1 /5 Teyebeh Malakoutian: I have been a patient for years and love working with Alvin. Lately, they don’t answer phone calls, or call back. I was in the ER a few days ago wish severe foot pain and need a referral to my orthopedic surgeon and physical therapist and no one is calling me back. This office is not the same. Dr. Shawn Hamilton needs to get her office together.

1 /5 Nicole: I haven’t even met the actual doctor I was given a nurse practitioner that didn’t even read my new patient forms. They sent me the wrong dosage of one of my medications and said it couldn’t be fixed till the next appointment I had to personally check what I typed in the form to prove it was their fault and all of a sudden they could fix my dosage. I’m in stage three kidney failure and apparently that’s not concerning to them at all they were wanting me to wait till the middle of the month to fix the situation. Secretary is rude as hell may he never have to deal with someone like himself. I will be switching doctors I recommend going anywhere else. This is the second bad experience with them in only a month.

1 /5 Mel L: I’ve been a patient at Dr. Shawn Hamilton’s office for a few years now, and I’m extremely disappointed with the care (or lack thereof) that I’ve received. Not once in all this time have I actually seen Dr. Hamilton herself. Every single visit or consultation has been handled by a Physician Assistant or a Nurse Practitioner. One of the most frustrating aspects is the way they handle radiology results. After waiting for the results, you’re only offered a phone appointment with the PA on Fridays—apparently, that’s the only day the PA is available. If you need your results earlier, too bad. You’re forced to wait, regardless of the urgency of your situation. While I understand that many healthcare providers work remotely these days, and that it may not make sense to have staff on-site if there aren’t enough patients, this system has serious flaws. For someone in pain, the delays are unacceptable. My experience has been a constant cycle of waiting: waiting for an appointment, then waiting for radiology, waiting for the results, and finally, waiting to be referred to a specialist—who, of course, you’ll have to wait weeks to see as well. The bottom line is that it takes over a month just to start getting any real treatment or relief from pain. This office’s approach to patient care is sorely lacking, and I can no longer recommend Dr. Hamilton’s practice to anyone in need of timely and effective medical care.
