C & L Auto Service & Repair, Inc.

Grant Austin Great for smog, super nice guys. Waiting room could definitely use an update though - no WiFi, water dispenser didn’t have cups, etc. But they will get the smog test done quick and easy, gotta love it!

Aero Auto Repair

David Lyash This place is great! I came in to get my tires changed, and the staff was super friendly and easygoing. They walked me through all the available options without any pressure, and we reviewed them together to find the best fit. I had already shopped around at other places, but they gave me the best deal on my Nexus tires. I was in and out in under an hour—quick and efficient. Huge thanks to James and Art, who noticed my glove compartment wasn’t locking (something that had been a nuisance for months since my last oil change at the dealership). They went ahead and fixed it as a courtesy—no charge, no fuss. Just a smooth, pleasant experience all around in a clean, professional shop. Highly recommend!

A STREET AUTO SERVICE

Jarrod G This shop was recommended to me by another mechanic. When one shop told us our vehicle needed a new motor, this shop said “no you don’t!” With a little patience they proved it, and were able to revive our truck’s motor making it purr like a kitten and run like new. Sometimes it just takes experience instead of somebody, throwing their hands in the air and saying I can’t do it. This is a place I will continue to refer people to, and bring cars to. I run a classic car business, and it’s always good to have valuable, trusted, honest service.

SD Auto Service

Dmitrii Pilipenko After visiting the auto repair shop for my car, I was pleasantly surprised by the high level of service. The staff demonstrated professionalism, efficiency, and attention to detail. The repair was done with quality, and my questions were thoroughly explained. The convenient location and cleanliness of the shop also made a positive impression. The entire process was transparent, and I felt my car was in reliable hands. The outcome exceeded my expectations—my car looks and operates as if it just came out of the showroom. I highly recommend this shop to anyone valuing quality and professionalism in auto service. Thanks for the excellent service! I also want to add that I have not met such care about customers for a long time, the guys were attentive to my problem and tried to help me, I am an old man and it is difficult for me sometimes to understand what I need, they were patient and did a great job!

M & C Auto Repair

Dave Wanted to find a new local mechanic (Pacific Beach area) for my 2010 Jeep Wrangler. M&C Auto kept showing great reviews on sites I looked at so decided to give them a shot at the end of May 2025, when I had a coolant leak issue. They got me in the same day I contacted them, diagnosed the problem right away, which was a radiator leak. Quoted me a replacement and labor price which was way under other shops. Vincent, the shop manager, was great at showing me all that they did (system was flushed as well). Carlos was also helpful in keeping me informed of the work done. I definitely have found my new local auto shop!

Johns Automotive Care

Melissa Hocanson I have a 1966 mustang that needed lots of work. It’s my daily driver now. It has been extremely challenging finding a mechanic that first would work on the car and second do a good job. Robert at John’s automotive was my first point of contact and he has been extremely professional, organized and detailed. I came in and explained what I needed and he scheduled a time that I could bring the car in - it wasn’t right away but I appreciated that he didn’t take the car until they were able to work on it. After I dropped off the car they sent me an email with photos and a checklist of things that were good and things that need work. I was very impressed I have been to a lot of mechanics and I have never received a report that detailed. Mike is the mechanic who has worked on my car and has explained in detail what was wrong, what he’s done and what I should expect. It’s challenging working on these old cars but Mike has the experience and expertise needed to get the job done. I love my car and I’m extremely grateful that I found John’s automotive otherwise I don’t think I’d be driving my car. I highly recommend this company. Robert and Mike are the best !!!

Hong Auto Service

silly sarah This review has been a decade in the making. I have been coming here for years. They care about what they do and they do it well. Its a small business. I have tried to take my car elsewhere and just end up taking it here to be fixed after taking it elsewhere. I dont trust anyone else with my car. If I could give more stars, I would.

Villas Auto Center General Mechanic

Jack Benedict Vicente is the best! He’s fair, honest and just a nice guy in general. I thought there was something big wrong with my car because it was making loud popping and crunching noises and when I took it in he was honest that nothing was wrong with my car besides it needing an oil change and a new air filter. He changed those and I was out the door for a super fair price. The noises ended up being part of the bumper rubbing up against my tire so purely aesthetic. I feel like a lot of places would just diagnose something expensive to get money. If I’m back in San Diego again and something happens with my car, I know where I’m going.
