Sammys cuts look great for weeks, and her product suggestions for keeping my hair looking almost as good as it does when she styles it are right on. Everyone in the salon is friendly and welcoming, as soon as you walk in the door. I love my Sammy hair days!

Ethan Mancil Hector did a great job helping me tame my quarantine hair lol. I was very apprehensive to cut it all off, and I know my hair is quite curly and difficult to cut. I wasn’t exactly sure what I wanted either. Hector worked his magic and I was definitely not disappointed - A+

Angie Paya Glenda Darling is an expert in vibrant hair color!! I’ve been seeing her for years and even though the colors have changed dramatically, my hair stays healthy.

Artie Wu Tom is an absolute master of his craft! As a man with long hair, it can be tough to find a stylist who truly understands how to cut and shape it properly—but Tom exceeded all my expectations. He was patient, incredibly skilled, and had a deep understanding of how to work with long hair to make it look its absolute best. From the moment I sat in his chair, I knew I was in expert hands. He took the time to listen, made thoughtful recommendations, and executed with precision and artistry. The result? A haircut that not only feels incredible but also is effortlessly natural and easy to maintain. Beyond his technical expertise, Tom is kind, professional, and genuinely cares about making sure his clients leave feeling amazing. If you have long hair and want a stylist who knows exactly what they’re doing—Tom is the one. I couldn’t be happier with my experience and will definitely be back!

Niall Sohan This goes out to Dani — I’ve been coming to Dani for years for my cut and I couldn’t recommend her more highly. She’s super versatile, gives the best men’s haircut, and her wash / head massage is heavenly.

M W Jackie is an amazing hair stylist and goes above and beyond for her clients. She’s been cutting my hair for over 5 years and there is no one else I trust to cut my luscious locks. Her price point is amazing $25 for a men’s haircut which I’ve been telling her she truly should be charging more $30-35. If you want a great haircut by a kind woman go to Jackie! Make sure you tip!

Mark Wheeler Tanya is talented and experienced and it shows. I get my hair dyed blue and cut into punky shapes and she has the vision and execution to make it look better than anything I could even imagine myself. I have wavy/curly hair which some stylists dont understand how to work with but she gets it. Her skill with bleach and dye makes my hair color last multiple times longer than anyone else has ever been able to get. She does great work on more traditional styles too as Ive seen with other friends and customers.

Sona Samonpal I had a wonderful experience with Li, the owner of the salon. My hair was extremely long, uneven, damaged, and full of split ends, and I wanted a healthier look with more volume since it was very flat. Before starting, I asked Li if the style that I want would suit me, and she took the time to explain what she could do to achieve the look I wanted. She made sure we were on the same page before beginning the trim, which I really appreciated. The end result was exactly what I hoped for. My hair looks so much healthier and has great volume now! The price is also very reasonable. As a college student, finding an affordable hair salon in SF without breaking the bank can be tough, but this place offers great quality at a budget-friendly price. I highly recommend Li for her skill, attention to detail, and fair pricing!

Anousha Lily did a great job with my keratin treatment! My hair is smooth, shiny, and so much healthier now. She’s skilled, kind, and really knows what she’s doing. Highly recommend her!

Ini Li I dont usually post reviews but I have to for Mako at Arty Hair! Ive been going to Mako for my regular haircuts for several years now. I never had a regular hair stylist until her. Mako always gives me a consistent hair style for my thick, wavy hair just how I like it. Luckily I was seeing her for a haircut a few weeks before my wedding at City Hall and realized I had no idea of what to do with my hair. I asked Mako if she could style my hair and all I can say is, wow. She came up with a hair style that felt true to me and it stayed in place all day. Shes already a little hard to book (Im a last-minute kind of girl) so writing this review poses the risk that she will be even harder to book but I just had to write this glowing review. Im sure the other stylists at Arty are wonderful too!
