Erik Cheng Wilson did a great job with my hair (in my opinion)! I hadnt gotten a haircut in a year and also really dont take good care of it, so it was a total frizzy mess when I went in. I also didnt really know how to specify what I wanted for my haircut, since Ive never had hair this long or this curly/wavy before. He was able to take my relatively vague input on what I was looking for and did a great job producing a cut I was very pleased with. Well worth the price for his skill and also the included hair washing.

Ini Li I dont usually post reviews but I have to for Mako at Arty Hair! Ive been going to Mako for my regular haircuts for several years now. I never had a regular hair stylist until her. Mako always gives me a consistent hair style for my thick, wavy hair just how I like it. Luckily I was seeing her for a haircut a few weeks before my wedding at City Hall and realized I had no idea of what to do with my hair. I asked Mako if she could style my hair and all I can say is, wow. She came up with a hair style that felt true to me and it stayed in place all day. Shes already a little hard to book (Im a last-minute kind of girl) so writing this review poses the risk that she will be even harder to book but I just had to write this glowing review. Im sure the other stylists at Arty are wonderful too!

Negar Shaban I got a haircut from Gilbert and Im super satisfied with it. I have long wavy/ kinda curly-also coarse frizzy (but still beautiful ) heavy middle-eastern hair and lots of it. I got a v shape hair cut with long layers. He was so careful to not cut my hair shorter than I wanted. Also he took the weight off which feels so good and looks stylish. Hes also a good company; a good listener especially when it comes to your hair requests. I had a great evening having my hair cut at Salon Mio Mio and chatting with Gilbert. Ill go there again.

Sarah Rice Just started seeing Deb recently and I am THRILLED. Dynamite style, super great at listening and communicating about the plan of the day and easy to talk to without pressures of any kind. Phenomenal cut and color job. The ambiance is SO COOL. It’s a sweet vintage loving oasis in the heart of the Mission. Great tunes too!

Laura McCann I can’t say enough good things about Fionnuala and the team at Dolled and Dapper! Fionnuala has been my hairdresser for just under 3 years. She is the absolute best. If you are a blonde looking for a new hairdresser look no further, Fionnuala is your girl. I wouldnt trust anyone else with my color. Her skill and attention to detail is unmatched. She has an abundance of knowledge and has helped get my hair back to full health after dying it blonde for years. If youre looking for someone who truly cares about their clients and delivers exceptional results, I highly recommend Dolled and Dapper.

Kona Yee Maisonry is one of THE BEST salons in San Francisco and I’ve tried a lot!! All the stylists are so sweet, they listen to what you want, and they are sooo knowledgeable about hair health. One of the main reasons I switched salons and decided to come here was because I wanted my hair to get healthy and Charlene did the most amazing job making that my priority. My hair is the healthiest it’s ever been and I can’t recommend Charlene enough. She can do it all but I don’t think I’ve met anyone else that can do a liver in brunette better!! I definitely recommend if you’re looking for a super cute, quality, hair color.

Desperate for a cut, I searched online and called Dr. Sammie. She told me to come on in, saying, “I gotchu,” and she absolutely delivered. I have incredibly curly hair and don’t trust just anyone to cut it, so I was nervous at first. But watching her work with such ease and skill—it was clear she knew exactly what she was doing. Dr. Sammie has been cutting hair for over 30 years, and her expertise really showed. She handled my curls beautifully, giving me exactly the cut I wanted. It’s not about the type of hair you have—it’s about the stylist’s skills, and Dr. Sammie’s are unmatched. She washed, cut, and styled my hair at a great price, all while making me feel at ease. It just so happened to be my birthday, and she made the experience even more special with her humor, attentiveness, and amazing energy. I even learned a little Chinese during my visit! When she was done, I left feeling lighter, freer, and most importantly, confident. My curls looked amazing, and I couldn’t stop smiling. Her scissor work is so quick and precise—I was in and out in no time. If you have curly hair and need someone who knows how to handle it, I highly recommend Dr. Sammie.
