Sona Samonpal I had a wonderful experience with Li, the owner of the salon. My hair was extremely long, uneven, damaged, and full of split ends, and I wanted a healthier look with more volume since it was very flat. Before starting, I asked Li if the style that I want would suit me, and she took the time to explain what she could do to achieve the look I wanted. She made sure we were on the same page before beginning the trim, which I really appreciated. The end result was exactly what I hoped for. My hair looks so much healthier and has great volume now! The price is also very reasonable. As a college student, finding an affordable hair salon in SF without breaking the bank can be tough, but this place offers great quality at a budget-friendly price. I highly recommend Li for her skill, attention to detail, and fair pricing!

Lu Han I’ve been Sho’s client since 2017. It’s always been great to visit! Sho is talented for haircut, and he’s endless care for details is uniquely shining. Not only he could always meet my expectations right after the haircut, my hair still looks great after several weeks with great style. It’s the last 1% of the details provide his outstanding technique!

Mona Tawakali Cirrus is an incredibly gifted at what she does, yet what truly stands out to me is her integrity. During our appointment, upon seeing the condition of my hair firsthand, she advised against proceeding with highlights until my hair regained its health. She even dusted my split ends while I was there and refused to let me pay her. I deeply appreciate individuals like Cirrus, who prioritize long-term relationships over short-term benefits. I eagerly anticipate embarking on my hair journey with her in the future.

Ini Li I dont usually post reviews but I have to for Mako at Arty Hair! Ive been going to Mako for my regular haircuts for several years now. I never had a regular hair stylist until her. Mako always gives me a consistent hair style for my thick, wavy hair just how I like it. Luckily I was seeing her for a haircut a few weeks before my wedding at City Hall and realized I had no idea of what to do with my hair. I asked Mako if she could style my hair and all I can say is, wow. She came up with a hair style that felt true to me and it stayed in place all day. Shes already a little hard to book (Im a last-minute kind of girl) so writing this review poses the risk that she will be even harder to book but I just had to write this glowing review. Im sure the other stylists at Arty are wonderful too!

Alison Lucille Art This was my first time coming to Habitat. Audrey what’s my hairstylist. She was amazing. She would explain her process to make sure I understood what and why she was doing certain things. We had a fun time talking about art and scary movies. What I appreciate the most is how Audrey reached out to me about my after care for my hair and what product I can use to preserve my vivid color and keep my hair healthy. Thank you Audrey! Thank you Habitat!

Sioban Dixon Color & Keratin- Emma did an excellent job coloring my roots today and perfectly matched my previous color! Cashmier then gave me a fantastic Keratin Treatment. Both stylists were very warm, polite, and professional. My hair turned out great!

Kenny Nieh Lisette is a phenomenal, inclusive, and talented hair stylist and color expert. Ive been going to her since 2018 and each cut, styling, and color Ive experienced with her has been transformative, affirming, and fun. Shes really good at listening to your feedback as well as exchanging ideas for where you can take your hair. Ive learned so much about my hair through her care and see so many possibilities for where I can take my hair journey with her. I highly recommend you check out Lisette for your hair cut and/or hair coloring. Shes the one.

J S Always a fantastic cut from Win and very affordable. I think she should charge more than she does, tip generously if you’re happy with your cut. Very personable, great sense of humor and loves to share her favorite foods and recipes. I have never been disappointed with my visit or haircut when i come to see Win. I would recommend her to anyone. She has many years of experience with hair and it shows. Very skilled with the scissors and clippers! I drive from the Outer Sunset for haircuts.

Jordan Flores Sonia is THE BEST hairstylist and color magician I have ever met. Using her seamless color blending method has saved my hair health and given me the results I want every time. She always gives me the royal treatment with beverages (5 star coffee) and she’s just an amazing person. I will be going to this salon until I die.

Chiachi Liu -Wolf cut Haircut with Stylist Cesar- I had a pleasant first experience at this salon! I was referred by a friend to try this place out. The stylist I requested was Cesar. He was really nice and made sure what I wanted was clear. We discussed about how the new haircut will behave and suite my face, along with general styling tips. We had insightful conversations and had a good synergy. He was efficient with the shears and checked with me occasionally to stay on the same page with the vision I had. I have fine, straight hair. Prior to this, my hair was long with moderate amount of layers. The haircut I requested was a medium/short wolf cut. Despite the big change, it turned out well! Some people might be hesitant on getting this kind of haircut, but it is important to acknowledge your hair type and discuss with your stylist. Do consider how much styling you are willing to do. The wolf cut style is a fun hairstyle that is best styled often. I still experiment with different ways to style this hair.
