Clifford Barclay Brandon came to our rescue after my 4Runner’s oil can light came on driving over the Shasta pass. I texted him at 11pm on a Saturday night, praying a mechanic might respond, even though most in Redding are closed on Sundays. Sure enough, Brandon contacted me first thing in the morning and made time to help diagnose the issue. He was honest, communicative, and knowledgeable. If I were a Redding resident, I’d use him as my go-to mechanic.

Sals Automotive Repair And Hot Rod Hideout
Bobby Graham Sal was absolutely amazing. I let a friend of mine work on my car and they messed it up pretty badly. After letting it sit for nine months I brought my car in to Sal with just a box of bolts, and only knew I needed a new alternator for it. He took the time to be comprehensive, and you could absolutely tell he knew what he was doing. He was very patient and explained what was going on every step of the way. Furthermore he is a genuinely nice and honest fellow who loves helping people. It ended up being a bit more work than I had expected, but he figured out why the car wouldnt start and I was on the road the next day. I cannot stress enough that this man is a very very good mechanic, and a good person in general. I will definitely be bringing my car to him for any service from now on.

Tammy Ballard Dave the owner was very helpful. My check engine light came on. I took my car to a mechanic up the street he said it was the turborcharger and the repair cost would be between 1600 to 2000 another place quoted me 3000 t0 5000. I took it to Autmotive service center where they first made sure that was the problem once they concluded it was the cost to replace it was under 1200. The service was excellent Iwill definitely take my car back there for any future problems. I highly recommend them and would like to say thank you to for all time you spent on my car

Ralph Basso Hands down the best experience I’ve had visiting a mechanic. Immediately after calling and explaining my situation, advanced automotive got us in and completed a several hour job (all tie rods, front drag link, rear shocks) in under three hours. They even stayed open late to finish the job. The work done by Advanced Automotive is the reason our wildfire medical rescue team was able to pass vehicle inspection and respond to an active incident in that area. HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you’re in/around Redding, CA.

Kevin Keyser Was on the way to Grass Valley from Portland when I heard a loud pop and lost quite a bit of power in my engine. I was worried, it being a Saturday, that we would end up being stuck in Redding for a few days until the right parts and people were available. Chuy had my problems diagnosed and fixed in about an hour and a half. He also took the time to explain how and why things went wrong and what to look out for. No BS, just great customer service and quality work. As someone who was born and raised on the east coast I appreciated Chuys honesty and straightforward approach.
