5 /5 E M: I was admitted here many weeks ago. I have been in ICU and not. I like the ICU and the nurses there. the staff is friendly and most days knowledgeable about everything. Those that aren’t get someone who is. Speaking with the doctors can take some time but they are friendly and answer questions in a way I understand. Rehab is amazing. They are the highlight of my day.

3 /5 Mark Larsen: My Wife was transfer here after having a set back from surgery. I am happy for the most part on the care she is receiving from the nursing & rehab staff. Where I am disappointed & frustrated is the line of communication from the specialized doctors, Nurse practitioners & her case manager. My wife has been here for a month now & it took me rattling cages to finally have them call me to get an update. The update I received 2 1/2 - 3 weeks in was very unsettling left me feeling dismissed & like we didnt matter. I had a frank conversation with them all saying I dont need to hear an excuse, or to be dismissed. That I need to hear that I have been heard & that we will do better moving forward. That the updates can be as simple as everything is stable & we are happy with the improvements she has made this week. but to hear nothing or to be dismissed is unacceptable. Things seem to have improved after I called them out & I will update my review once my wife has been discharged. To be fair to all parties involved we are human, we are flawed. But we all need to have opportunities to correct our mistakes.

1 /5 Sonya Cloud: If you can avoid this hospital for your loved one avoid it. My husband was transferred January 22 he had shown significant improvements the week before. On the 23rd they had him in ICU due to elevated white blood cells. Still waiting on a call back about what happened during the transport and when he got there to cause this since he was perfectly fine the day before! When I went to see my husband the nurses weren’t speaking to him didn’t have the tv on just no care at all. He passed 1/25. I got a call from the dr and that was it. While trying to find a mortuary to get him too they sent him to the mortuary they use with no notification at all. I wish he never would’ve have went here! Still a month later no return calls from anyone. If I could go back I would’ve refused to allow him to go here. Just all around HORRIBLE

5 /5 Kim Shiu: From the very point of admission to the 6th day of stay, the wonderful staff (doctors, nurses, therapists, and security) had my fathers interest at heart. They took the extra mile to make sure they answered all our questions. Not only that, they are attentive to our own needs and comfort. At this point, they have exceeded my expectations. I feel very confident that they will help my father during his stay. If you are looking for an acute facility in the San Francisco Bay Area, I high recommend this one!

4 /5 Gary Wortham: My wife was there for slightly more than 2 months. While the hospital is a bit old, its clean and every doctor, nurse, therapist and reception staff member was compassionate and very skilled. We highly recommend Kindred. Only 4 stars because the elevators break down and the cafeteria only serves lunch.
