1 /5 Omari ghaws: I recently visited Import Repair Center (IRC) to address a check engine light issue on my vehicle, and I was quite disappointed with their service and pricing.
Firstly, IRC recommended a diagnostic check which cost an exorbitant $200. This was particularly frustrating, as I had already received a free diagnostic at AutoZone, where they identified the issue as related to the coil and spark plugs. Furthermore, another nearby auto shop charges only $110 for the same diagnostic service, making IRC’s rate seem excessively high and unjustifiable.
The most troubling aspect was the repair cost estimate. IRC quoted an outrageous $800 to replace all four spark plugs and one coil. In stark contrast, another auto shop just 800 feet away quoted a much more reasonable $267 for the exact same service. This significant price discrepancy suggests that IRC is overcharging for their services.
Additionally, the reception process at IRC was inefficient and slow. The two elderly gentlemen at the front desk took an unusually long time to type in the details of my issue, which added to my frustration.
Given the excessive charges and the sluggish service at IRC, I cannot recommend this shop. Potential customers would be better served by exploring other, more reasonably priced options in the vicinity.
