They went above and beyond to ensure the vehicle was ready for a funeral to give my uncles ashes his last ride in his favorite classic. He is incredibly kind, and was so helpful and flexible at getting my car in at a time that worked for me. I most recently needed new brake pads and rotors, and his price was about 12% less than the other place that I priced out. So not only is he an excellent mechanic, his prices are definitely reasonable.

Norman Gassaway Mercedes benz fresno claimed to diagnose our 2018 Glc300 4matic. Gave me a quote to replace the transmission and transfer case $26,000!!! Had it towed to German auto repair for a second opinion. Fluid change, update programming, $1200, and car runs great. Huge shout out to Gary and crew. Friendly, fast, and wont rip you off, unlike MB fresno.

Jean Gerow We had a van breakdown during a recent vacation. Staff was wonderful, knowledgeable and service was quick. They even stayed late to get us back on the road! The facility is clean and comfortable: a huge positive. The business is family owned and operated and this made the difference. I would recommend them to anyone. If we ever have a breakdown in or near Fresno, Id definitely go back! A shout out to Isaiah - he was wonderful. :)

Bertha Flores Great Service! I went in with my old car. My car had 315,000 miles on it. It was literally on its last leg and J&M were able to extend my car’s life by another 3 months. Just enough time to get me from point A to point B before I got my new car. They were very nice, fast and honest. They told me that they’d make it work but they’d suggest I start looking for a new car because it’d be more expensive to continue fixing this one than getting something new. Amen! An honest mechanic! So happy I came here.

I have 4 cars and have had the following repairs done: gas pump install, head gasket replacement, suspension parts replaced on a 4x4 and a Cadillac, dash control pannels replaced, transmissions flushed, driveline work on a 4x4, cooling system repairs including radiators, thermostats, and hoses, brakes jobs, harmonic balancer replacement, starter install, interior pannel replacement, shocks, window motor, diffirential fluid changes, wheel bearings, and more Ive thrown some confounding problems at this shop such as electrical issues where other mechanics will give up, Jim at Van Ness gets to the bottom of whats going on. He takes the time to explain whats wrong and will show you the issue. His prices are very fair and Ive never had to take a repair back to be redone. I cant say enough good about this shop. Had another shop pay him to fix their mistakes..... thats how i found Van Ness Auto. The mechanics really know what theyre talking about and eventhough they are always busy, theyll make the effort to help every customer. I had 4 vehicles that all had problems..... now I have 4 cars I wouldnt hesitate to drive to New York and back. Also see a lot of people who take their classic cars to this shop. Finding techs who know how to work on classics is getting harder and harder now days. I cant say enough good things about this place. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
