Neal Donovan Beautiful building right near the lake. Ive seen a handful of shows here and love the sanctuary. Gorgeous stained glass, great acoustic, impressive organ. Staff are super welcoming.

Mary Vertulfo Plymouth is a radically accepting and loving community of people, with some of the best music in Oakland. I walked in and was immediately made welcome. I have found life-long friends, music, and endless opportunities there to make real and lasting change to the greater Oakland community through their partnerships and programming. I highly recommend going to their many musical events (Monday Night Jazz, Free First Fridays… Mardi Gras, Soulful Christmas… I could go on!!) Even if you’re not looking for a spiritual home, the incredible musical talent that plays at Plymouth Church is unmatched and you will have a wonderful time here.

john C. Palmer We attended worship as out-of-town visitors on Easter Sunday so we can only base our review on that one Sunday service. The Spirit of God was truly alive in all aspects of the service. Fantastic Gospel music, the Word of God preached powerfully, baptisms with explanation of its meaning & invitation to anyone in attendance to come forward & be baptised or rebaptised, celebration of the Lords supper (with gluten-free crackers & an invitation to anyone in attendance to participate if they believe in Jesus as their Savior), friendly congregants of all ages & ethnicity. If we lived in the Bay Area this is definitely the church we would attend & we will certainly worship there whenever we are visiting the area.

R Onilozay RECOVERY MEETING FOR EMOTIONS... I attend (only) Recovery International meetings here (Mondays @ 12:30) which are wonderful. For those of us who need a community and help with our emotions of anxiety and / or anger. I learn so much that actually works and Ive made friends who understand, really understand. The format is a bit different from 12-step if youre used to that, so it took a few meeting s to get the flow so to speak. .. but it is an amazing tool Ive just added to my recovery. Meetings in the east bay are Monday here, Wed in Oakland also, Sat at Kaiser bldg off Howe & MacArthur @ 1:30. Please come the group is small. Look for the side red door. (I have no religious affiliation with the church).

Nikia B. This temple is a nice place to meditate to your christ consciousness. Quiet and spiritual. Also, a way to meditate to God.

Charles French This is one of my happy places. I can actually go here in my mind and feel blissful. This place saved my life and my soul seems to know it. I need more stars to give you guys. Five stars is not enough, Im actually tearing up writing this

Tim Hohm Talk about authenticity! Sequoyah is truly community. Dynamic music with a live band was so good. The people are so friendly and the message was relevant, practical, and inspiring. I also LOVE the multi-cultural and multi-generational feel. It is truly a representation Oakland and the San Francisco Bay Area.
