Wil D I’ve been bringing my Honda Ridgeline to High Tech Auto on Lincoln Blvd in Santa Monica for the past 3 years, and I can honestly say—they’ve kept my truck running like new even with nearly 200,000 miles on it! From alternator and battery replacements to brakes, rotors, oxygen sensors, stabilizers, mass air flow sensor, gaskets, mounts and more—they’ve handled every repair and maintenance issue with top-tier precision and speed. Every time I drive away, I feel like I’m in a brand-new vehicle without the new car price tag. Not only is their work solid, but they’re fast and flexible—I’ve never had to wait long, and they’ve even worked with me on payment plans, which made a huge difference. What stands out most is how much I trust them with my car, my time, and my money. That kind of confidence is hard to come by. I first found High Tech Auto through my brother, who’s extremely particular about his cars—especially his classic ‘93 Mustang. He was impressed with their work from the start, and now I understand why. Carlos, the owner, genuinely cares about the quality of service they provide, and Caesar, the manager, is an absolute gem. He treats every customer with respect and kindness, making sure you feel heard and taken care of. If you’re looking for an honest, skilled, and efficient auto shop with heart—High Tech Auto is it. This is an update just recently went back for my brakes and rotors and the owner took care of me and kept his word on doing an exceptional job. This will always be the shop I go to and recommend for everyone I know!

terri wardle This auto shop goes above and beyond the call of duty! Their work is impeccable and is always delivered in a timely fashion. They are the most trustworthy and fair auto business I have ever been too hence the decade plus years I have been going here. One time I dropped off my car when I thought something was wrong with it. They drove it for a few days, did some tests and then gave it back to me saying nothing was wrong with it. And it was true! If that’s not trust then I don’t know what is! Carlos the owner is the best! And Cesar makes sure to give you his full attention and knowledge and is really just the nicest guy! They definitely make this business feel like we’re all just friendly neighbors! It’s refreshing to go to a business where you’re welcomed warmly and know that they’ll take the best care of you! Sam Tahmasian Tim and his Master mechanic just finished a PPI on an LR4. It was a very smooth process, he was very accommodating on specific items I wanted checked out. He went above and beyond to look up a few items even though I was not a regular customer. His mechanic is super knowledgeable. They were very busy so really appreciate him squeezing me in.

Zhang Linh I found this shop while searching for a nearby BMW specialty store, and I was genuinely impressed by how professional George is. He’s incredibly friendly, takes the time to explain everything clearly, and is completely honest about what he knows. I dropped off my car on Wednesday and was able to pick it up by Friday. My BMW had an engine light issue after a battery replacement. The previous shop spent almost two hours trying to figure it out with no luck. I remember George saying, “If I can’t fix it, no one can”—and I believe him. With over 20 years of experience at a BMW dealership and a wall full of certifications to prove it, George really knows his stuff. I’d absolutely recommend him to anyone. You’ll get fast, high-quality service you can trust.

Ari Steinberg I came here because of the reviews and they did not disappoint! Danny was the best and was extremely helpful. Morris is 5 stars for a reason. I had dropped my car off for them to repair something in my dash and they did a routine check and noticed that my brakes needed to be replaced. They were able to fix them right after and attended to some other minor issues in my car free of charge and cleaned the inside of my car! The service was extremely quick. They even charged me only half the hourly rate for the initial issue with my dash. They were very professional, and good communicators. They even offered to drive me home while I waited for my car! If you want a safe, reliable and fair priced option, then look no where else because the workers at Morris are real professionals. These guys are deserving of every star and review they get.

Lisa Grech Wilfredo and the team of mechanics at Kondo Motors are the BEST! I have gone to them for 12 years now, and even drive up from San Diego County (yes, 5 hours round trip) and have them do my car repairs, since I moved out of the area. They diagnose the issues, give an honest and clear picture of the issues and associated estimates, and fix what is needed. Sometimes they have sent me away, letting me know there is no service needed at the moment. They do not upsell things or recommend things that are not needed. They are honest, trustworthy, kind, generous, friendly, and expert mechanics and advisors. I recommend them without hesitation and appreciate everything they have done as my trusted mechanics throughout the years. I recommend that you call to schedule in advance, as they are in demand and booked out often with their happy clients, like me!

Gail K Best service- most knowledgeable and honest mechanic in SaMo. A friend whose Dad was a Japanese race car driver recommended I drive all the way from SGV to SaMo about 3.5 decades ago to have my Nissan serviced by Kondo bc I was getting overcharged and misdiagnosed in SGV. It was worth it then and has been worth it now. I’ve been taking my Subaru for about a decade now since I moved back to SaMo. Today I’m so happy in five minutes Kondo Motors fixed my car seat mechanism in 5 minutes. Subaru service would have charged $249 just to look at the issue and I would have not had my car for hours.

Warren Jacob I have taken my cars, BMW and MBZ, to Tony and Luis for more than 7 years now. They have always been honest and upfront about the work needed and getting it done at a fair price. In addition to the regular maintenance, I have had them rebuild the engine in my 1982 Mercedes 380SL. They really know their way around the older cars that I prefer to drive. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend Pacific Motors for your vintage MBZ or BMW.

Adam Gabriel Around Thanksgiving time, My brake calipers were leaking. To make matters worse, out of nowhere, my gearbox was malfunctioning. I spoke to Luis on the phone and learned they were busy ahead of the holiday and that I should circle back the following Cyber Monday. I was there at 8am Monday and Luis was there. He remembered me and got me quickly checked in My brake calipers were fixed, and my gearbox was fixed in record time. These guys know Mercedes very well. Whether it is a late model car or a new car, I strongly suggest anyone take their cars here for servicing. Luis and his team are truly the best. THANK YOU!

John Castles NICE AND HONEST - highly recommend taking your car here for an evaluation or if you need repairs done. I have a E46 M3 and Edwin helped me assess the check engine light for NO COST. I have taken my car here before and they gave me a fair price and fixed the issue fast. I rarely write a review but felt inclined to do so because of how helpful this place has been.

Christine Alexis Mario is the best! I had an emergency situation with my gas tank cover and pulled in around 6pm on a Friday evening. It turned out to be an easy quick fix, but his customer service and knowledge was second to none. Definitely will be coming back here!

Jackson Ingraham Absolute nightmare, took this in June 2023, they told me my brake pads were causing a squeaking sound. When the problem continued, they found something wrong with my rear axil shaft. I got it replaced for a very expensive bill. Jump to now, took my car to a different shop as it had been making some noises while driving. These guys showed me that the poor installation of the axil caused my emergency break to tear, and a hole through the plate. Double the price of the original expense, and per EPS Automotive their warranty is only a year. Absolutely no help, horrible attitude through the whole process, go somewhere else.

Esvin Lima Im not someone who usually write reviews. I showed up for a regular brake change and they gave me such a good price i ended up also getting other maintenance things done. Theyre prices are very competitive and they even ended up washing and detailing the engine. They definitly went above and beyond my experience with any other shop. Highly recommend this place

Dumont Darsey Charged me $140 for an oil change. Last year they charged me $85. I just called the dealership and they would only charge me $90. Mike explained the 70% increase from last year because "the cost of oil went up."

Andrea Marchesi They are very communicative regarding your cars issues. I have always had great experiences here. My only challenge is I would love to be able to make an appointment to bring my car in because I work most mornings early and miss the window drop-off (7am). Other than that, great service!

Nomad My highest praise goes to Stacy and the entire team at Affordable Care. When I moved to the area five years ago, I had a hard time finding a car shop that was honest, reliable, and reasonably priced. Repairs from other so-called “specialists” only led to persistent, hard-to-trace issues that dragged on for over two years. Even the Bob Smith Toyota dealership couldn’t figure it out—but Stacy did. The problem turned out to be a faulty ECM, and thanks to him, everything was finally resolved. Since then, all other repairs—big or small—have been smooth and trouble-free. I genuinely appreciate their work and highly recommend this shop. Two of my friends are now customers too
