1 /5 Nilufer Yenidogan Ozmekik: The worst auto service experience I’ve ever had.
I brought my car to Affordable Car Service for a second opinion after another shop told me the issue was with the heater core. However, a mechanic named Stacey insisted the problem was actually with the reservoir, which he replaced and charged me for.
Just two days after picking up my car, the leak got worse. When I returned, Stacey claimed this time it was due to the catalytic converter. I went ahead and ordered one online, trusting his diagnosis.
But the problem still wasn’t solved.
At this point, I finally took my vehicle to an official Toyota Service Center, where they correctly diagnosed the original issue: it was the heater core all along, just like the first mechanic said.
I ended up spending over $1,000 unnecessarily due to Stacey’s repeated misdiagnoses—not to mention I was without my car for almost a month. It was a frustrating, expensive, and completely avoidable ordeal.
They clearly didn’t properly inspect or diagnose the car. Their lack of expertise and accountability caused a huge inconvenience. I strongly recommend avoiding this shop at all costs.
