gutchinov Dr. Farrell explained the procedure very clearly and performed the procedure very efficiently as explained. He is highly skilled, very patient and very professional. He also explained how I possibly felt after the procedure and advised me all the steps to take to return to normal life. By knowing what is expected has helped me tremendously to cope with the recovery process. I trust him for all my medical needs.

Scott Gross Dr Farrell has provided my routine colonoscopy procedures for the past 25 years. Additionally, he performed several other endoscopic procedures for me during several acute illnesses while hospitalized. He is friendly, very compassionate and a clear, concise communicator. I have complete confidence in him.

Ankit Agarwal Dr. Simons is excellent! We started with him when our son was a newborn. He is very responsive (both in person and via emails when we have questions as first time parents) and is generally very casual (but still attentive/detail-oriented) in his evaluations and his visits. I am a physician and value high-quality care - and Dr. Simons is definitely that! While not key to making a choice in physician, his medical office is also quite nice and scheduling/getting through to staff is relatively easy compared to many other offices. I have recommended him to friends and family and will continue to do so. Thank you Dr. Simons and staff!

Gnome Chomsky Saw in another review that the adjective ‘excellent’ was used a few times… but that’s a complete understatement. Noah is the type of medical professional that all others should aspire emulate. His candor with adults, the playful nature with the kids, even his sense of humor is super on point. Add in the fact that his office is full of toys, fish tanks, free balloons, electric train sets…gum-ball style toy dispensing machines… Whatever a young mind would dream of or be put at ease by… it exists here to convince your kid that going to the doc is and will be fun! I can’t recommend this pediatrician enough. Cheers and keep on being super awesome my dude.

(11) Reviews Boykoff Alla MD:

Katya Pronichenko I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Boycoff because I was feeling very unwell and needed care. I appreciated that the office was able to accommodate me on short notice, but unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Boycoff was disappointing. During the visit, she dismissed my questions and requests, making comments such as, «У меня нет времени на вас. Вы знаете, сколько у меня пациентов?» (“I don’t have time for you. Do you know how many patients I have?”) and «Почему вы просто не пошли в urgent care? Если бы я знала, я бы даже не назначила вам встречу.» (“Why didn’t you just go to urgent care? If I had known, I wouldn’t have even scheduled you.”) When I asked to call my mom so she could ask a few clarifying questions, the doctor declined, stating, «Нет. Я уже сказала, у меня нет на вас времени.» (“No. I already said, I don’t have time for you.”) During my visit, I asked Dr. Boycoff if I had COVID or could be tested, she said, “I won’t test you. Everyone knows that you go to the store and do home tests for COVID.” She then proceeded to tell me that she believed I did not have COVID and prescribed the antibiotic Azithromycin. When I asked if I should go to urgent care, she said there was no need since I had already come to her office. However, not feeling confident in the rushed diagnosis, I went to urgent care afterward, where I tested positive for COVID and was prescribed an antiviral instead of an antibiotic. After the visit, I called the doctor’s office to request the doctor’s notes be sent to me. The office told me they would send them, but I never received them. Overall, I felt that my concerns were not addressed and that the care provided was rushed and dismissive. While I appreciate that the office accommodated me on short notice, this interaction did not meet my expectations for professional and compassionate medical care. I hope this feedback is only helpful for improving the experience of future patients, as I do not enjoy posting negative feedback.

Camille D Now that many of you will be losing your jobs. Maybe you can start being kinder to patients and their families. KARMA, I don’t think UCSF residents and students call themselves doctors. Why most VA doctors are always on vacation☹️ You’re hospital is next on the chopping block. Go update your resumes. The joy ride is over dumbasses.

C C “Montea” Just because its clean doesnt mean its great service, one particular doctor had a very jaded attitude, lots of Privacy Act violations and HIPAA laws violated with doctor sharing patient information and be heard across room, I do not recommend this place unless youre dying and have no other option. After reading other comments, it looks like the doctor medical staff have not learned a lesson ignoring patients and taking over 2 hours to address the patient. I was refused services, and the doctor kept trying to push a certain drug that I refused to take, I felt very unsafe at this hospital, I wonder how many patients have been abused, mistreated, disrespectful, belittled. Extremely unprofessional, hire doctors with experience and compassion.

Wilma The actual healthcare received was great, got assessed for a knee injury and received PT for it. All that was fine. Now when it comes to billing? Horrific service. Terrible and will never willingly go back, unless I suppose Im in an ambulance and have no choice. If you want to get an itemized bill to figure out what youre actually getting charged for, be prepared to wait a few months while you play phone tag, then they have to mail you a form that looks like its been Xeroxed from the 90s, you mail it back, then spend more time in limbo until they finally mail you your itemized bill. Now if you want to contest that bill for any reason, apparently you need a dispute form, that will probably be mailed to you in another month. At this point, youve likely passed the time where they will send your bill to collections, which will hit your credit score. EVEN IF you are attempting to dispute an incorrect charge, that has NO impact on them still sending your bill to collections. If you want to receive healthcare from this institution, you either better have health insurance from the gods, or be prepared to just close your eyes and pay whatever bill comes your way. An itemized bill doesnt seem like too much to ask, but oh my word apparently it is.

Mathew Dunbaugh I cant ask for more, except perhaps some withholding of judgement... But of course,...it could be me, the silence when I enter the place and say "hi" and get no reply ... Otherwise, the place is doing its job... Although I wonder what the official job title and description is (Of Veteran Case Managers or anyone assigned a potential influence over my fate) ...and what freedoms they are given to recommend a vet to, say, a place they know the vet wont fit in... ...we all know when someone bears you Ill will, and when its those assigned to your care, however minor, it Instills distrust in our institutions.

Sally Yong We were visiting SFO and my husband fell ill unfortunately. The hotel put us to the clinic. Called at 11am and managed to get an appointment with Dr Savage at 1pm. We were attended to and triaged by the nurse who was very warm and friendly. Waited about an hour before we saw the doctor, believe he was out for another consultation. Anyhow, Dr Savage was thorough and informative about my husband’s condition and gave some good and useful advice and tips to manage and prevent sinus-related problems, and even dishing out some sound advice on parenting :) quite a funny guy! Fees including medicine is not cheap compared to home, probably 5x more, but this is America, healthcare is not cheap and accessible especially for non-residents. All good though, we get peace of mind with a good consultation and meds. Would recommend his clinic.

Lauren K Ill give 2 stars because the manager finally decided to work with me, but still frustrated. Dr. Savage while friendly will talk about a lot of nonsense that when sick and exhausted is not what I wanted, however, I did get the antibiotic I needed in order to get better before flying home. For months Ive been back and forth with insurance, beware this is a regular doctors office, NOT urgent care. I did not realize I needed authorization from my PCP before being seen. The office took my $40 copay and didnt say a thing. Several months later I get a bill for nearly $200 and my insurance wont cover it now because its past 90 days. Ive tried calling to talk to a manager at Traveler Medical Group, finally after 3 or 4 tries I talk to the manager who tells me to call my PCP and ask for a letter of authorization and I told her its too late but she insists on it. I call my PCPs office and they say the same thing that its past the 90 days and its too late the system wont allow them to. Almost a year later I finally worked out a deal on the bill, but SO much time and energy was wasted. Please make sure you call your insurance company to confirm coverage or what you need to be covered because this office wont tell you otherwise.

Kenneth Garcia On vacation away from home, chest tightness with exertion meant the only decision was what hospital to immediately head to. Being in San Francisco, the clear conclusion was UCSF by far. Its reputation is stellar, but it exceeded expectations. Within a day I was stabilized, catheterized, stented, and comfortable. All the staff were exceedingly capable and effective while simultaneously interacting very person-ably. There are only a handful of top-tier health centers in this country and UCSF for cardiology certainly qualifies within the highest ranks! There is no substitute for placing yourself, during those critical health crises, in the hands of the most competent people on the planet.

Janice L Ive only been coming to SFAMC for a few months, but the exceptional and meticulous service we have received for our dog Mania has left me feeling truly cared for and completely confident in their ability to provide the best care! Our dog is reactive, but they have been able to provide us with some medication so shes more calm during her visits and they never try to push or force our pet to do anything uncomfortable. They are very prompt when responding to emails and they always get back to me even for questions that require a response from the doctor. They now offer 24/7 emergency visits so making a call for a vet appointment is very easy since theyre open all day, everyday!

Jeanie Oliva We came to see Dr Polidoro in November 2023, who was highly recommended when our 4 year old pittie needed a TPLO. From the moment we made the appointment with Melissa and walked through the doors of San Francisco Animal Hospital on the day of surgery everything was seamless. Dr Polidoro is the best! He took the time to explain the process of the surgery- and Jazmin seemed to like him. Melissa called before they started surgery as promised knowing how stressed I was. Dr Polidoro called when done as promised explaining how it went not rushing me off the phone, answering all my questions. That first week after surgery was a little rough, but Dr Polidoro and the staff were so understanding and patient with me, and always responding to my calls quite quickly. Oddly enough our 2 year old lab, Shelby, ended up needing a TPLO in both legs in April and October 2024. Of course we went back to Dr Polidoro to take care of her. We knew we were going to get the same excellent care as before. We have not been disappointed. On the night of Shelby’s second surgery, Camille (surgery tech), sent us a video of Shelby, that really touched us, and helped calm my nerves about her being at the hospital overnight. We are grateful to the wonderful care given to our girls in the last year. To an amazing staff just to mention a few Melissa, Naomi, Zoe, Camille and foremost Dr Polidoro for all you have done. We are forever thankful. Jeanie, Beth, Jazmin & Shelby

Robert D I had the same experience as the other man. Dr. Hassid is nice but doesn’t offer any advice beyond common sense or webMD. For my annual exam, he double charged me for both my annual and for an office visit. The insurance company told me this was a common practice from greedy doctors who know how to overcharge and immediately add office visit to annual after goading you to say something that no longer qualifies for an annual exam, like asking about acid reflux for example. Fast forward to next visit, to review annual tests- $577 additional cost for office visit. I have been to many reputable doctors in the past and never had to pay roughly $1000 for an annual exam, blood work, and a follow up appointment. This guy cares about 1 thing - money. AVOID!
1 /5
R T I had a bad experience with Dr. Hassid. I went there for annual exam which is free from Cigna - but they billed me for $393 for annual exam. His bed side manners are good but he did not provide any diagnosis for my health issues. All he does is listen and has nothing to say or offer. He just keeps ordering me for more tests and asks me to see every month. This felt like a way of making money instead of diagnosing my issues. My liver reports were not great but he said to come back one month after. My second visit to him cost $625. Even after paying this much, I never got diagnosed for my ailment. Would not recommend him.

They had someone giving me bi-weekly updates by email the whole process and any questions or issues I had they answered/solved it quickly and kindly! All my appointments were very informative, professional, and friendly! Unfortunately due to health reasons I had to cancel and reschedule and they were so caring and sympathetic about it and worked so hard with insurance and the hospital to get me a new surgery date a few days later which was very convenient because I live across the country and put so much time/effort/money/preparation into the trip. If I had to do it over again I would choose them every time, highly recommend!!!! I saw some bad reviews about communication issues but whatever issues they had seem to be very much resolved!

Andrea Moran Please do not come here. I would rate this hospital lower than 1 star if I could but that alone should tell you that my review is not great. This hospital has taken advantage of my family, with only their interest in mind. That interest being money. They charge you for blankets, there’s no A/C, they’re not clean and are negligent. Tell me why my aunt has been here for months and just NOW, they’re saying she has a flesh eating disease. When people have been around her, touching her. When her tab is about to run out. So now more money has had to be deposited. What the hell have they been doing all this time? Where are the hazmat suits? Why is no one wearing gloves or a mask? Why are her sheets not being changed out? Ever? Why are the family members expected to help lift the patient instead of the nurses and doctors doing their job? And if they needed help, they could be polite about it but they’re not. My aunt’s health could’ve improved but because of this disgusting place and their unqualified staff, she could lose her life. She has been transferred elsewhere, to a general hospital where the care and environment are such a huge improvement from this dump that’s a private hospital, where the care should be equivalent to what you’re paying for, right? Seriously, go elsewhere.

Janneke Holzner I came to this hospital after a severe bout of food poisoning had left me severely dehydrated. I was seen in the emergency entrance within five minutes, and hooked up to a drip within ten minutes. The initial consultant spoke enough english to help and so did the doctor (most of the nursing staff just spoke Spanish, but were very helpful and friendly). They were very helpful with providing everything I needed for my travel insurance- but that said, the cost of all the consultation, a private room for the whole day, and the drips and follow up rehydration drinks came to about $200. Very much recommend if you find yourself in health troubles in El Salvador.

Daniel I had a positive experience during my time at San Francisco Doctors Hospital. The medical staff was knowledgeable and professional, providing high-quality care and attention to my needs. The facilities were clean and well-maintained, creating a comfortable and welcoming environment. The registration and check-in process was efficient and organized, minimizing any unnecessary wait times. While the overall experience was great, I did encounter a few minor issues, such as longer-than-expected wait times for certain procedures. However, the attentive and friendly nature of the staff made up for these small inconveniences. I would recommend San Francisco Doctors Hospital to anyone in need of medical care in the area, as they provide exceptional service and quality care.
