Natsuho Okada Stephanie is amazing!! I have been going to Stephanie to get my hair done for several years now since she was in LA and now in SD. I have thick, dark, Asian hair, and she is really the only person I trust with my hair. My hair takes so long because I have so much hair but she is so patient and gentle. Each time my hair is colored to the perfect shade. She is honestly the sweetest and always takes the time to understand your needs so she can achieve what you are looking to get done. She has many years of experience and I highly recommend her if your are thinking of getting your hair done!

Tess Treitman Stephanie is the best! I can always trust that shell give me a cute and consistent haircut. She cares a lot about maintaining and strengthening your hair when it comes to color which is really important too. I always ask her to do what she thinks is best and most stylish. Shes always honest and does a great job. Ive been going back to her for years! Shes so personable and I always enjoy my time with her.

Megan Gerdes OhEmGee...Stephanie is amazing! She really took the time to hear what I wanted to do with my hair - right away - and what I was working towards. Not only is she a great listener, but she took time to educate me a with some really helpful tips on hair care products and styling. She is a clear communicator and makes planning and scheduling appointments easy. I especially appreciate that she takes a personal approach with her clients, unlike so many salons in Oceanside. Stephanie is the stylist I tell all my friends about!

Luis Soto I’ve been going to Yesi for years now. She has always given me a superb cut! I recently visited her and must say the new spot is awesome, great music playing and walked out with a clean cut as always!

Dunia Cortez I’m not much of a talker when I get my hair done and tend to fall asleep. Danielle was an absolute sweetheart! She didn’t mind at all and talked to both me and my friend. I loved the entire experience. She made sure to talk me through everything she did and I was absolutely in love with the end results of my hair.

Franchesca Garcia Danielle is so sweet and absolutely amazing at what she does! She made me feel so pampered and made my hair look beautiful. She so talented and diverse with her hair skills! I always leave with the best hair and feeling amazing after spending time with her.

Erin Milnikel Danielle is the best at what she does and always makes you feel beautiful in her chair! I had a trip planned to CA and purposely did NOT get my hair done before we left for our trip just so I could have Danielle do it the day we got there ♥️ She made sure to spend as much time on me as needed and the final product was amazing!

Darlene Addy Danielle has been doing my hair for almost a decade and I cannot say enough good things about her as a person and as a hairstylist. She is so sweet, genuine and fun to talk to. She also does an amazing job with my blonde hair highlights and color. I highly recommend Danielle for your hair coloring and styling needs!

Ali Quintas I was so excited to find Danielle because I’ve been struggling so many years with my hair going brassy when getting highlights. She is a real specialist in blending blonde with my grays and much less than any other salons. Her blowouts also make my hair shine and look youthful.

A I took my 7 year old to get a hair cut by Hollis and my daughter loved her!! Upon leaving my daughter made sure we tipped her well because she did an amazing job. She was very gentle and talked to my daughter and I during the cut. I love when hair stylists genuinely talk to make a connection rather then have too and Hollis was that stylist. I will definitely be having her cut my daughters and will be scheduling my next appt with her!

aydee reyes I love RJ! I’m a new client to him. He has done my hair twice ! And I can honestly say he does great work! I will be definitely going back to him forever! I went from green to magenta pink ! I invite anyone that’s looking for someone honest and takes pride in their work to reach out to him and book your appointment!

Al D My experience with RJay was nothing short of spectacular. RJay did a great job listening to my concerns and expectations. The products used felt high quality. RJay even provided some tips and tricks to help me maintain my hairstyle. The location is in a convenient location, easy to find and theres plenty of parking. And plenty of public transportation too! I would highly recommend seeing RJay. Ill definitely be coming back.

Ellen Moeller Rjay is a phenomenal hairdresser, an all around wonderful person, and a joy to be around. I drove 2 hours to have my haircut by him because talent like his is not easy to come by and I trust him. He really took the time to understand what I was looking for and totally delivered-I love my haircut! I am retired from the hair business but used to work with Rjay so Ive seen first hand what he is capable of and the quality of his work. His foiling and color work is absolutely flawless as well!

Sophia I absolutely LOVED my cut and color from Rjay. I have very difficult curly/wavy hair, and have had many poor experiences in the past. Rjay effortlessly cleaned up my layers and even thinned my hair with a special technique for textured hair. I recently got blonde/caramel highlights and loved how it turned out! Will definitely be back!

dulce oregel Great experience! Jessica did an amazing job with my wash, haircut and blowout! I was definitely nervous choosing a place since I’m new to the city but I ran into this place online and I’m so glad I did. The whole experience was a 10/10. The receptionist did a great job answering all my questions and booking. Katerina Fortney got about 10 inches of my hair cut off by katy this past weekend. i was super nervous but katy did an excellent job! the place is very cute, welcoming, and warm. it’s pretty much a hidden gem. i’ve found my new spot to get my hair done! 10/10 for katy!

Ashley Campbell Jessica Woods is the most amazing hairstylist you will ever meet! I’ve been going to Jessica for over 10 years now because she’s so talented and always makes me feel gorgeous. She has done so many colors for me over the years and I have never been disappointed. I’ve been blonde, silver, redhead, pink, blue, purple, and now dark hair! Jessica is also the most fun person you’ll ever meet :) A few weeks ago she did my black hair with caramel money pieces and I was so impressed and SO happy! Especially since this hair was for my long-awaited proposal! I’ve included some photos below to show how incredible my hair looked for the most special moment of my life! Sydney McKeown I religiously see Riley here, and i’ve never gone back to anyone else she genuinely is just the best and makes me feel so refreshed and calm. Riley never misses, shes realistic in my hair goals and getting me to exactly how i want my hair to look but always makes sure it feels good and keeps me healthy. She makes such a comfortable environment and just really puts you at ease in regards of the anxiety of hair care. Being a lived in blonde isnt the easiest choice, but she always makes sure my hair care and routine can match my lifestyle, she also always gets my color so right. Ive been religiously only seeing riley since the day i found her i think almost 2 years ago.

Summer Wright I cannot say enough good things about Riley Scot! She is an absolute hair wizard. Riley is incredibly knowledgeable about hair and helped me choose a short style that perfectly suits my hair texture. Sar Seer Stacie Christopher was wonderful to my teenaged son in giving him a terrific shag haircut. She made him feel at easy with her friendly personality and he really liked his hair afterwards. Highly recommend her and Citizen Salon!

Shannon Milner I wanted to give this 1 star but my stylist was nice. But that doesn’t take away from the fact that I paid $100+ for a trim, straight across nothing fancy and many pieces were missed.

A Saw Riley after reading some of her rave reviews, one of which referred to her as a “hair wizard,” I believe. Given Riley is a beautiful young woman, I’d go with High Priestess of Hair, bc her talents are indeed seemingly magical! Honestly, she’s the best I’ve ever been to—far exceeding expectations. I sought her out for a color correction ( nothing horrible but still a challenge) and consult, and her attention to detail, knowledge, and understanding of the problem and solution were exceptional. She was laser focused on explaining everything and ensured I was clear about the outcome and process. Honestly, I’m still in shock when I look in the mirror! It’s like I’m myself again but better, and the color is just perfect! We still have highlights to add down the road, but the quality, care, and attention that went into my first appointment has me feeling and looking amazing! The color matches my skin, eyes, natural hair remarkably. Highly recommend Riley for brunettes with long hair who want the best and don’t want to break the bank!

Margarita Cramer A group of women stylists got together and have a salon at a corporate building off the 78 and Jefferson. Josie Luna is my stylist for the last three years. She provides great hair coloring and cut plus she colors my eyebrows as an added bonus. Ask for Josie.

Keri Cleeremans This was my first visit and I needed some experienced consult as I was looking for a pretty drastic change. April delivered! I was surprised at the spiritual path I took but I was impressed with Aprils dedication to her clients wellbeing and journey. I didn’t know what to expect but I’m glad I went! Note- their suite is in a building full of suites- a bit off putting at first but the actual suite was quite nice.

L R This salon has got it right! Sharla goes above and beyond to incorporate wellness into the hair treatment, and really cared to make a relaxing, warm, welcoming environment. This was so much more than just getting my root touch up. Hands down the best salon experience Ive had, on top of getting my color match perfect, and feeling like a really valued customer.

Sherilynne DeMaio Next level! Going to Shear Karma is an experience, not just an appointment. April took such great care of me, I felt transformed when I left. Positive affirmation cards and a cup of delicious tea set the tone. She gave me the MOST AMAZING neck and scalp massage during the shampoo, and then a great haircut. To top it all off, this shop is committed to organic, natural products, recycling their plastic waste, reducing their impact on our precious planet, and shifting our collective energy. Sharla and April are setting the new standard for beauty (salons), helping to transform their clients outside AND inside. Ive found my forever salon!

Kelly Robinson I went in for a balayage. I knew I may not be able to get to what my inspo picture looked like but the stylist reassured me. My hair is really damaged and very orange. I spent 4 hours of my time and over 200 dollars. I called and they did offer to put a toner on my hair but I didn’t feel very welcome at the salon and they were making it seem like it was my fault. Now my hair is falling out and I have to go pay someone else more to try and save it/make it not bright orange.

Lisa Darr First couple of cuts were decent, third was a disaster. I went in asking for a 1" trim and got out to my car to realize most of my hair in the back was gone. I have curly hair that doesnt do well this short. My email with the owners apologized, but said the stylist didnt understand that I wanted to preserve my length. Im not sure how a 1" trim gets interpreted to cut most of the back of my hair off. They did offer to cut my hair again in the future. I guess be very cautious in describing how to cut your hair and watch them well . Im so sad and cant even put my hair in a ponytail now. I spent lots of money on a place that promises it knows curly cuts and still have this happen.

Random storm Danell is amazing, and so is everything about this salon!!! I wish I had a before picture! I went in with super faded, overgrown, frizzy hair! Danell worked magic on my hair!!! I didnt even know my hair could be this curly! Not only did she cut and dye my hair, but she also taught me how to manage it! She showed me how to get it to look like this again! I absolutely love my hair, and we will definitely be back! Its so crazy how good a new hair style makes you feel!!! Thank you, Danell! I appreciate you so much! Edit: I forgot to mention that they specialize in curly hair!!!

Olivia I had a wonderful experience at Glamour Lounge Hair Boutique with Leslie. She was incredibly kind, professional, and took the time to teach me techniques to better manage my hair. Annette Holguin I have getting my hair done by Lelsie for over a year and in Dec of 2022 she messed up on my color and dyed it dark brown highlight and red. My hair is blond, she told me to come back 2 days later to fix it and I paid her because she promised to fix my hair. I came back 2 days later she bleachec my hair with my extensions in to try to remove the color which she did not. I told her she needed to correct the color but she said she would have to charge me more for a mistake she made. It cost me over $500 to color correct my hair and the bleaching killed my extensions and I had to throw them away. I am still not blond because of all the damage. It will take me a year to fix the damage she did to my hair. I understand mistakes happen but you dont walk away from your responsibility. Very disappointed

Pearl L Definitely not the look I was going for..bummed out about my hair. If you want highlights please go with clean non dye hair. Otherwise you will have to pay more to even fix it or make it match whatever dye you had before. Very unpleasant experience. I’m not financially capable to even fix it. I paid $295 for my hair to look like this. Wasn’t expecting this at all. And she is asking for $180 to fix it. Don’t get me wrong I like how she did the top. But definitely ain’t blending in with my original lights. It looks weird.

Kelly Houlahan This is the happiest I have been with a haircut in a very long time. Leslie was awesome and truly listened to how much I told her I wanted cut off my hair. In fact, she started off by cutting less than I wanted just to be sure she wasn’t cutting it too short. And the products she used are amazing and will help my hair be more healthy. Worth every penny. I was looking for hairstylist available in Carlsbad but they were all booked and was really hoping to give this place a leap of faith and I am so happy that I was able to get a appointment with carly. It has been almost about two weeks since I went to Carly to get my blonde hair fixed. I had previously gone to another salon and my blonde was so orange and my haircut was a mess. Carly definitely is a lifesaver. She fixed my blonde hair and my haircut. This is where my hair was (orange and terrible) and now with Carly’s blonde magic and her advice. I am using the products she suggested to get my hair back to normal and healthy. I was so embarrassed and upset with my hair done so bad, now I feel my confidence back and happy again thanks to carly for helping me with fixing all the Mistakes that were in my hair. I can’t express how great she is, and I would recommend her to anyone. She knows her stuff really well and if you listen to her advice and follow the instructions she gives you, you will definitely get beautiful blonde hair. Here are my before and after and 2 weeks after :) I am definitely coming back here.
