Naos Wilbrink Best haircut since I came to the states. I’ve been going to my hairdresser in Amsterdam, NL for 20 years. She knew exactly how to cut it. 3 years ago I moved to the States and I’ve been looking for a great hairdresser ever since. And I believe I’ve found her in Beatrice. Finally I feel like my hair goes where it’s suppose to go. Without the use of product the cut is perfect. Maybe it’s her background in Hollywood filmstudio’s, maybe her years of training and her talent. I’d absolutely want everyone to go to her.

katie william Beatrice Alcorta is too good to be true. I was in a pickle and needed last minute sew in hair extentions. Beatrice went out of her way! She actually opened her salon on Sunday morning prior to church....Amazing! She did a great job and I am so happy to have my extentions back on. They were off for a week and I hated my hair. I wore a hat every day! I will be going to Beatrice from now on...she is so sweet!!

Caroline Markham I have had long hair for many years which I get colored & straightened during each monthly visit. This time I decided to add a major haircut change. It made a wonderful difference…A younger difference plus my hair looks healthier.

Reuben Villa This Salon is clean with an upscale vibe. Great for anyone looking for a pro to cut their hair. Each artist has their own space which is very private. I see Renee Arroyo but she is on appointment only. A nice hidden gem.

Agnes Sokol Nothing but love for this place. I went in to brighten up my hair after getting low lights that left my blonde locks feeling drab and loved everything about this place. My stylist, Megan, was fabulous, very knowledgeable, and got my color shiny and shimmery and exactly what I wanted via expertly crafted golden highlights, the owners adorable pooches kept me company as my highlights processed and even the other stylists and customers were friendly, fun and approachable. I loved coming here and will definitely come again!!

Sandra Hall Nice haircut great conversation right on point. However, I would’ve liked to have been told and given the option of my daughter’s hair getting washed because we would’ve paid a few extra dollars.

Better In Community Consulting Love this place. All the workers are very professional and each take their time to ensure quality work with all their clients. I go to Nicole for hair color and cuts. They also have someone who does eyelashes and eyebrows there.

Sandra Santolla My stylist, Stefani, was outstanding. I explained the problems I was having with my hair. She did an outstanding job. She was friendly, professional, gentle and kind. She will definitely be seeing me again.

Steve Cousnes Unfortunately I had several concerns. The “Tip Convenience Fee” and the “Surcharge” were an unexpected charge. Most salons accept credit cards without a surcharge and what is the tip convenience fee?? My stylist didn’t really understand my needs and ended up cutting my hair too short! Maybe because she is used to nowadays everyone goes for the buzz cut. Very disappointing …don’t think I’ll be back

Grace Foster My 10 year old granddaughter got her hair colored the most beautiful green. It took 4&1/2 hours but so worth it. She is very happy! Everyone was very nice and professional.Thanks!

Celeste Rossbach My go to hair salon that I will keep coming back to! Veronica the owner is amazing and always leaves me feeling beautiful and confident. I went to her many years ago and have recently made my way back to her with, unfortunately, very damaged hair. After years of bleaching and dyeing my hair various colors, Vero was able to bring my hair back to life through keratin treatments, quality products and great hair tips. I love how welcoming, helpful, and determined she is in making sure I leave her salon truly satisfied. I 100% recommend Salon D’Mar and Vero!

Megan Swann I’ve been going to Sharon for almost 10 years now. She is absolutely amazing and I can’t recommend her enough. I drive down from Santa Barbara and it’s worth every minute of the drive. She is a master of her trade whether it’s a simple trim, doing color, or a new hair style, it always comes out a hundred times better than I could have imagined. I’ve grown to have high expectations from her and she continues to leave me beyond happy when I leave. Not to mention she is one of the funniest, genuine humans I know.

Sedona Tosdal I recently used La Rouge Salon for hair/makeup for my wedding in Santa Barbara. I had the best experience with them from start to finish. Chaney was always very responsive to my questions leading up to the event. Crystal did my hair and nailed my vision perfectly! All my bridesmaids shared how this was the best hair/makeup experience they had ever received at a wedding. Everyone looked natural and gorgeous. I cant recommend La Rouge enough for your next event!

Mary Nash Rachel made me a Hollywood princess. I got married a month ago and people are still messaging me just to tell me how stunning I looked at my wedding. Not only me - my mom and sister too! I only wish I had encouraged all of my friends to also get their hair and makeup done. She was so efficient, finished everyone’s hair and makeup on time, was so friendly, and patient with my loud girlfriends :) And my hair and makeup lasted ALL night. I’m just blown away and wish I could leave 40 more 5 star reviews. Easiest decision I ever made.

Maiah Nice salon with awesome Kristin as my hair stylist, shes an expert with colors and been seeing her for about 3 or so years now.. in spite of trying other hair stylist, I still go back to her. Shes very nice, warm and accommodating.. always offers me water or a glass of wine! Id highly recommend her.

He has taught me how to care for my hair which has resulted in it looking better than I thought possible. Jaime Eschette Ive had my haircut by JoPaulo for over 10 years now and I wouldnt trust this to anyone else. Jo is, hands down, the best around. As a person with thinning hair and hair loss, it was very difficult to find a stylist to trust with my hair let alone to feel comfortable enough to have a hair cut. He has created products to help cover my thinning hair as well as shared various techniques on how to style my hair to help me have the best look I can. I leave his salon and receive many compliments on my cut/color and feel confident to refer him to all of my family and friends. Likewise, his hair and skin care products are excellent. eEg Moo My family has used Jo Paulo for years. His talent brings out the best in our hair. My cut lasts way beyond 6 weeks. I love his products for hair & body. His face elixir divine & lavender body butter are some of our favorites. It’s a great salon combining skill, science & the best of mother nature.

T DO NOT WALKIN....be catious of the one one with 41 years of experience. she just cut off all my hair without asking how short I wanted it. She was cutting my hair and asked me how long my sides should be. She then went to the top and started trimming my hair which was over 4 inches long in some areas. I closed my eyes after I saw she was trimming the tips on the top and when I reopened my eyes while she was styling my hair with gel and I noticed inches of my hair gone. On her own free will, she decided what length my hair should be, instead of asking me how long the length should be. Nor did she give me the courtesy to ask how I style my hair regularly. She brought my hair from 4 inches to less than an inch scissor-cu across the top. I asked people with no filters what they thought of my hair. Brothers reaction: its not bad, its like dads. Our dad is bald with the colosack haircut . Barista initial reaction: "Omg no......." then she asked me 3 times what the name of the place is so she never goes there. Her eyes and face were in shock when saw my hair. Super cuts reaction: I had to go to super cuts to get the sides fixed because the barber there noticed another spot where she nicked the back of my head and long patches sticking from my sideburns. His response to the cut " You didnt pay for this did you" Dads reaction: " its short and puffy" Im a guy with thinning hair and she devasted my hair line so much that if I didnt know that a good barber can do. I would contemplate biccing my head. Girls be cautious who you work with and how comfortable you get while your there because you might lose more than you can bargain for and you might be waiting longer than the 3 months to have it grow back. Ask for recent pictures of their clients work. Do not take a random person. She literally gave me a 1 inch scissor cut all along the top. She decimated my bangs so bad that its impossible to style because the bangs are so short. *CAUTION. PICTURES BELOW* Seriously the worst haircut of my life. Its sad that her response was that its a short cut and she cant put the hair back. Followed by how her son looks sexy in short hair. Never once did she admit to what happened and how she never asked me how short she was going to cut the top of my head. Be very cautious, seriously just had all my hair cut off without my consent. The sad part is I showed a picture of me 2 months prior and she never asked to see the picture again after an initial 2sec glance....her response to me after reshowing the picture was, "how long ago was that picture?" and " your hair is browner" She messed my hair up so bad that she thinks the picture I showed her wasnt 2 months old. Worst service experience when it comes to hair styling. Before and after pictures of my bangs. The longer bang picture was taken 1 month ago.

Heather Fleming Erin is the BEST stylist ever. I always feel welcome and relaxed in her chair. She collaborates with you on what you want and sets realistic expectations for outcomes on your hair. Never have had a bad time. She always offers coffee when you arrive and that’s just another bonus for me. Wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair. Thanks Erin!

Maria Rios Erin is the best hair dresser Ive been to! Absolutely love the outcome every time I go to her! I fully trust her with my hair. Never disappoints! Not only does she have the experience and skills with hair, but she is also a beautiful person inside and out! Totally recommend her!!

Dynamic Flow Physical Therapy (Owner) I have been seeing Erin for a number of years for cut and color! She is so kind and talented. I was terrified to color my hair after saving it from cold capping after chemo treatment since it’s super fragile at that time and she was creative and supportative to come up with solution so I could feel like myself without damaging my hair as much. Now I’m back to my normal highlights and she does great job blending and allowing me to go months without needing to re-color- my goal! Highly recommend the salon as well which has great stylists and beautiful/clean salon located in midtown.

Cynthia Fredericksen I absolutely love this salon and my stylist Oakley!!! I have never found a stylist who can do my blonde exactly the way I like. She has an artistic eye and is able to truly hear what you want. Oakley is professional, creative, and honest. I highly recommend her!

Lisette Boss Ashton was a sweetheart and did a great job covering my white roots and matching the existing hair color! My hair is coarse, thick, and resistant to color, but she knew exactly how to work with it. Plus, you get a spa-like experience with a head massage and hot towel with essential oil. Highly recommend!

Caitlyn Davis I found Vain through a quick Google search and was immediately pulled in from the pictures. I spoke with M over the phone to try and book a same day appointment for a color correction and color application, and she was able to schedule me with Justine! When you walk into Vain you’re greeted with such good energy and a beautiful wallpaper all throughout the salon, everything is purposefully placed and the salon itself is very clean and organized. I met with Justine and we immediately hit it off. She understood exactly what I wanted and had the skill set to hit the mark! I was so thoroughly impressed with Justine’s skill and how patient and caring she was working with my hair. I went from copper orange to blonde within a few hours. Fellow salon staff were extremely friendly and the overall experience was so relaxing it was a true “day at the salon” as you often see in movies. Extremely cost effective and it seems this salon has several staff that specialize in certain styles/treatments/services that Vain can do it all. I am beyond satisfied with my results and can’t wait to come back to Justine for a touch up!

Ayn Devera I have been searching for a hair stylist for almost two decades since I moved back home to Ventura from the SFV. I am ecstatic to have landed at Pure Hair. Crosby is so talented and genuine. His salon is serene and bright. Shay has become my stylist from now on (forever, I hope), because I have finally found someone that can work with my long, fine hair. She listens, takes her time, and transforms it to have more body and movement just the way I want!

S Miller This was my first visit to LUXE salon and I had a appt with Lily G today .Im new to Ventura and had been getting hair services in La and unable to continue the trek... Upon entering the Aveda concept salon I was Immediately greeted by more than one person. My appt was at 12:45 and Lily took me immediately taking inventory on my hair and my hopes she took me from a dark brunette to a Ginger red in one visit. Not only am I thrilled with the outcome as its health and shine is intact still, as she said she was putting protein back in at one point amongst other steps that I didnt pay attention to because I felt so confident in Lilys ability as a colorist I was busy chatting with other staff and clients. Not only did I find a Amazing hairdresser today the entire salon is welcome, kind and I cant wait to go back!!

Kyra D Well I went in for a TRIM and color with Danica and got all my length hacked off. Im so upset. My hair hasnt been this short in about 5 years. Im completely dumbfounded that this even happened. My hair was healthy. I get it trimmed every 6-7 weeks. No one has ever chopped it all off like this. I specifically said NO when she said she wanted to take off 2.5 inches! She did it anyways and cut off even more!!! It was all I could do to leave without making a scene. My hair was past my breasts now it’s at my shoulders. I’m so sad and angry I don’t know what to do. My husband and I LOVED my long hair. When I walked in the door he was shocked. Now I HATE my hair and it’s going to be at least 5 years to grow it back. Updating my review after the response I received from Luxe. Shirley contacted me shortly after seeing my post and was extremely apologetic. She acknowledged she couldnt undo what had occurred but took it very seriously and wanted to make it up to me as much as possible. She comped a keratin treatment and even gave me a large bottle of shampoo. Crosby did the keratin treatment and promised he would trim my hair properly in the future. This level of customer service means a ton.

Nicole Gutierrez I have been going to Shirley (the owner) since I was a child. Over the years I have tried other stylists that were closer to where I lived but no one compares! I always have come back and now drive from Somis to see her. She is an amazing colorist and stylist. She is honest and always gives every client her absolute best. Great salon!!

Ashley Sunshine Was treated rudely on the phone and told after send pictures of what I wanted done to my hair, and what I my hair currently looked like, and was told that they would get back to me RIGHT AWAY with an answer if the stylist would have time to see me the next day (I needed to be seen right away for my graduation pictures) well, after eagerly waiting (when I could’ve spent that time finding someone else to try to do my hair) it wasn’t until at about 5:30pm that I received a text message (NOT EVEN A PHONE CALL BACK) saying that the stylist wouldn’t have time to do my hair the next day and that they could see me sometime next week. I was so disappointed and desperate I even offered to tip an additional $100 on top of services if they could squeeze me in the next day. I found a better salon last minute that was still open when I called at 5:45pm and she was kind to me, I told her my dilemma and did the same thing, sent her pictures of what my hair looked like, and asked if she could see me the next day and what I was looking for. Well, let me just say, that Matiz Salon was recommended to me by a friend, and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. In fact, I’d recommend you take your business to Candy at Hispanso Beauty Salon in Ventura. She overly exceeded my expectations and was willing to squeeze me in last min. And this is what she did to my hair for $260 (but I tipped her well & she threw in some hair products too!) *these hair services were NOT done at Matiz Salon!!!

Miss Moe Every appointment at Matiz Salon is time away from real life! Love Aura--her skills are almost magical!

jack Fradkin Bridget Jaques at Matiz salon is amazing! I live out of town and now need to move to Ventura because she is the best hair stylist and professional colorist I have ever been to! Im really not kidding. Bridget is very talented. If I could have described what I wanted it would have been exactly what I came away with. Seriously. Bridget has super solid instincts on color. (Cut too but I didnt need a cut today). She brought my hair back from quite a rough, dry, over-processed state to soft, shiny and beautiful. Im actually not just excited but Im quite amazed at how much better my hair looks AND feels. And who doesnt want soft, shiny hair?? I feel really lucky to have found Bridget. Shes a great person on top of being an excellent stylist. Its a bonus when its fun spending time in your stylists chair and you leave really happy!
