1 /5 Scott Schopman: I drove an hour to this clinic for an annual exam only to be told they couldn’t see me because I hadn’t been here in five years—despite their system allowing me to schedule an appointment a week ago with no issues. No error flagged during booking, no courtesy call to let me know there was a problem, nothing. I used to have my primary care here years ago and thought I could return since I was still in their system. I’ve been desperately trying to get an appointment with a new doctor for months, and everything has been booked out, so this felt like a small win. Instead, it was a complete waste of time.
What’s absolutely baffling is that their system let me book, and I was even allowed to check in on the day of the appointment. It wasn’t until I was sitting in the exam room that a health worker casually told me they couldn’t see me. I explained I drove an hour to be here, pointed out that their system allowed me to book, and emphasized that no one had told me this wasn’t possible beforehand. Did they try to resolve it or accommodate me in any way? No. Just a curt, “We can’t see you. Goodbye.”
This level of disorganization and lack of basic courtesy is unacceptable. How can a medical facility claim to offer “care” when they treat patients like this? There’s no care here, just an utter disregard for people’s time, effort, and well-being. Unbelievable.
