1 /5 Lorna: Deceived, Dismissed and Disheartened
I’ve never written a review before, but this experience was deeply unprofessional and damaging to my health that I feel I must warn others.
On June 13th, I spent $1,800 on four solid gold piercing changes (two helix, a conch, and a belly button). At first, everything seemed fine, but within days one helix bar was too short and pressing into my skin, while the conch jewelry was so tight it created an indentation and began forming a keloid. (See pictures attached. Left in silver is the original one and on the right in gold is the one Abra put in.)
The earliest follow-up appointment available was July 6th. When I returned, the same piercer, Abra, replaced the helix bar—charging me again—and admitted the correct conch size wasn’t in stock and wouldn’t be for at least four weeks. She also tried to charge me over $200 for the conch replacement, blaming me for not knowing my own size and responded defensively, becoming aggressive when I questioned it. She said it was my fault for waiting, despite their appointment system leaving me no sooner option.
It became clear she never had the correct sizes during my initial visit and I believe she knowingly used the wrong ones. I believe her focus was on sales, not my health. There was no apology, no accountability, and no genuine concern.
Now I’m left with a keloid and have to heal with a stud before I can seek out a shop that will actually provide honest, professional care.
