1 /5 Coli D: If I could give no stars, I would. My husband and I were in there about a month and a half ago to pick out a new band for my wedding ring, and spent about 30-45 minutes with Tiffanie looking over all the options for the stone that I showed her. Every band I looked at, she would price it out and tell me how much it was going to be, and mentioned that this included any resizing that would have to be done. We settled on a nice one that would be perfect for my ring, and paid for it, told it would be ready by the end of the next week. Well, the next day, we were called and told that they were going to charge us more than double the price of what we paid, because apparently the bands they had were for round diamonds, and mine was a rectangular one, so the prongs would have to be changed. I was told that Tiffanie was new, and so she didnt know better. I spoke with the manager, and she told me that they didnt even sell the size of my diamond, which is weird, considering the papers from it clearly showed that it was originally from Fred Meyer Jewelers. She told me that they would find out how much it was going to cost and that they would eat some of the cost, since it was such a big misunderstanding. When they called us the next day, they told us that the charge was $420, (we paid $326 for the band), and that they would only knock it down to another charge of $350, more than double the original price that we paid. They wouldnt even take off a full $100. I cant believe the bait and switch, and now we have a very poor taste in our mouths for Fred Meyer Jeweler. We were even planning to come back next week for a blue diamond tungsten ring for him, but now we plan on getting our original purchase refunded and looking elsewhere for his as well. We got screwed big time, dont let it happen to you!
Update: Went to Ben Bridge and got us BOTH a ring for him and a setting for mine for under 800!
