Rebecca Phelan Best hair salon Ive been to! I went here for my first real haircut in 3 years and had an amazing experience. Kelly Baker made me feel so welcome and accepted and Im in love with my hair cut! Cant wait to come back.

Evan Browning Do yourself a favor and cancel your old stylists! CAUSE YOU JUST FOUND THE PERFECT ONE! Kelly is beyond talented! She can turn any mop to perfection and will meticulously cut every strand to achieve the look you want.

Taylor Pugh Charleston cutshop never confirmed my appointment, and then sent me an angry text saying that I no called and no showed. They never confirmed it, so I never received a text or an email. When I explained to them that I never received a confirmation message to my phone or email, they just kept responding "Yes you did" Unprofessional, they dont do things properly on their end and then take it out on the customer. Edit: And again in their reply they lie. I did not confirm I was going to be there, the notification I mentioned was the pop up Window on Vagaro. I sent them my emails, and they still insist I received them even though I never got a confirmation. Both of my appointments I have tried to book through them had always shown the status "Awaiting Confirmation" I never received a text or email saying that the appointment was confirmed, and even on Vagaro the appointments show "Awaiting Confirmation"

Julia Ratliff Very nice place, patient stylist (mine was Kayla Calhoon-Renzo). She was gentle with my hair and took her time cutting it. I have thick hair and got a short wolf cut, so Im glad that she was careful with it. She also talked me through what she was doing. I will go again when my hair grows out!

Robyn Beckman I had a fantastic facial from Bryka. My skin felt terrible for months and she was so good at her craft. I was very comfortable, relaxed and the products and techniques she used helped me to feel so much better! I will be seeing her again. If you have needed or wanted a facial, I highly recommend her!

Danyelle W Lily listens to what you want and gives great recommendations to how she can get you there, and is very upfront about maintenance requirements for the color you want. She’s has great recommendations for products for your hair. My hair has never felt healthier. She takes her time and makes sure you are happy with results. This was my most recent transformation.

Peach Pooker I’ve been going to Bryka for brow tinting/lamination and eyelash lift and tints for a while now, and I’m absolutely hooked! Every appointment is so relaxing, and the results are always flawless. Bryka is incredibly talented, genuine, and sweet—I couldn’t recommend her enough!

Kimberly Wormwood I tried Ride Or Dye for the first time recently and I really enjoyed the experience. Sarah cut and colored my hair to my desired look with attention to detail. She asked a few clarifying questions about my hair goals and how i normally style it, making me feel confident that she understood what I wanted for my hair. She was easy to talk to and the shop felt very comfortable and friendly, a safe place for community. There was a bit of a wait to get an appointment online so I booked my follow up already, absolutely worth it to support this local business!

Alesa Parker I am in awe that I found this place. I wanted an undercut and left the top in Sarahs hands(wasnt sure what I wanted out of a few ideas) and she gave me more than I even thought of asking for. The vibe of this place is family-oriented and super chill. Its the best hair treatment and cut I have ever gotten. Ill be going back here exclusively after today and got on her books next month again, and I could not recommend them more. If youre unsure go in. She knows her stuff, and so does her staff. 5 stars isnt enough. Id give her and this salon a 10/5 if I could. They are absolutely my Ride or Dye now.

Aljolynn Sperber I LOVE my haircut from Sarah. She did a wonderful job of educating me about how to care for my hair, which style would best frame my face and remain low maintenance. Having a fellow Pacific Islander work on my hair felt comforting because she understood behaviors and how our hair can react to certain elements. She also understood and gave great recommendations for when Im ready to color my black and gray hairs. The vibe of the space was great too! It feels like a community space and not a stuffy or judgemental salon. I look forward to my next haircut.

Laura Green This is the place you want to go!!! Every time I get my hair done it is PERFECT! The cut, the color, the style! It is hard to find someone like Sarah who is so good at what she does! She is knowledgeable, takes her time, listens, explains, understands! You can tell she loves what she does, it shows in the way she interacts with you and the pride she takes in her work! Kaylee I am absolutely in love with this place! I recently moved to Bremerton from Nevada and have been looking for a new nail salon. I decided to come here based on the positive reviews and they are not wrong! I came by as a walk-in on my day off with no expectations to get in immediately, if at all. They had two lovely customers in the beginning of their mani-pedis and asked I come back in an hour, which I happily obliged. When I came back I was sat down and Lynn started on my mani while her coworker finished the other two. She is such a sweetheart, so gentle, and did my nails perfectly. She took her time and you can tell with the quality of my nails. I appreciate that so much and cant wait to go back for another high quality mani. I highly encourage everyone to try this place out as the quality speaks for itself. Not to mention the extremely reasonable prices. Thank you so much Lynn!!

Sean Briere I just came through here to get my nails done for the first time. I had not found a place on this side of the water that did good nails until now. Lynn took such good care of me for my wedding. She took her time, no bumpy polish, no crooked nails, no missed side polish, and thin natural looking acrylic. She even fixed my big toe nail, which had cracked from a previous injury. I have finally found my nail spot, and its literally around the corner from my house.

beth Warburton Schylia was amazing! Took my very vague description and got it perfect! Highly recommend. I am not a fan of getting my hair done and typically avoid it as long as I can. However, this experience was relaxing and I might actually keep up with it.

Hoglund Maeryn (Ryn) I had the honor to receive a haircut from Schylia and it was a wonderful experience! I gave them a brief consultation and prompt of what I wanted and they pulled it off beyond my expectations-- both with quality of service, and efficiency in terms of how fast they finished my cut (it took just around 40 minutes!) I get anxiety going to hairdressers and the associated small talk, but I felt so comfortable in Schylias care. I wholly recommend them to anyone who has my similar problems, or who might just be queer! It always makes me so happy to see my fellow kin in professional settings able to be out and proud, especially with an establishment that supports them. Ill be back for sure when I need a trim :-)

Joseph Bernhardt Seems hard to get appointment. They do not do walk in. That is disappointing since I would like to support a local business. They did respond to a phone call with a text. They recommended another person who was a maybe. Hopefully sombody has time to make it work for them.

I am super picky with who touches my hair and KiKi was the best person for the job. Ive tried out other salons in Bremerton since moving here and they both destroyed my hair. Katelyn Ziegenhagen Ive just left from my second appointment, and can safely say this place is great! My first appointment was with Dana. Which went super well! I came in with multi colored hair, part of which was black. I wanted to go to a more uniform purple. She worked with me and managed to do exactly what I wanted within reason. She was friendly, gentle and very quick. A couple months later I wanted to schedule with her again for a refresher, but our schedules werent working out. So they scheduled me with another wonderful hairdresser, Kiki. She was fantastic to talk to, and even stayed an hour after closing to cut and style my hair after bleaching and dyeing it. All in all, it took just about 3 hours, which is pretty quick for my hair! I love fashion colors, and these girls know all about them. Bottom line, definitely recommend!

Tiana Madamba Glad I finally tried this place! I had a co-worker tell me, for 2 years, that I need to go to Tease salon for my hair. She said they were great and affordable. And she was right! I had my haircut done with Mindy, who is wonderful!! She is very friendly and attentive to my requests. And yet she also made helpful suggestions to guide me to getting a great haircut that was right for me. Another thing I also loved about Tease salon is the rapport between stylist and clients. It felt very comfortable and fun at the same time. Highly recommend!!

Joe OfOysterBay Weird. I went to this place a few years back and got great haircuts multiple occasions, which isnt easy for my hair. I appreciated that they were able to do a good job on it because its tough to find people like that. Ive had some hideous haircuts to prove it. I decided to let my hair grow for a few years. The last two times Ive called to get an appointment over the past few months, I was told today that I havent been able to get one because Im "not an existing customer" and theyre booked into February next year for non-existing customers and Id have to wait until then. (Its mid-October now,. Wait, do a LOT of people want to book appointments 4 months in advance? Thats a long time.) The thing is, Ive been one of your customers on multiple occasions and I exist. Loyalty doesnt matter unless it was like last week? And its not like anyone else was getting my business. The woman who owns it cut my hair and I liked her. I dont know what to make of this. It even seems somewhat shady. Its very disappointing, but, hey, Im just one "non-existing" former customer. As you see people become more apathetic and less loyal to businesses, maybe think of moments like this.

TIME WITH RUBY I love this salon! I had my hair done by Mecca and she is amazing! I had a hair coloring, trim and hair styled! Mecca is amazing, shes friendly, brilliantly skilled and talented. Mecca colored my hair the exact color I was looking for, she trimmed my hair to make it healthier and she styled my hair in a gorgeous half up retro pinup hair do I always wanted! Thank you Mecca! I will be back. My hair is so healthy and its still so shiny. I love it!

Gage S Beautiful salon! The stylists are all amazing at what they do. You can tell they enjoy their work and take pride in what they do. I see Alexa, I would highly recommend her to anyone else. My hair has never been better and she always knows exactly what I want, even when I dont.

Caren Lira Came across this place last year when I was looking for a new hairstylist! I had 2 stylists here that were great but unfortunately they both moved away after doing my hair once. But thirds times the charm because I finally have a permanent stylist here! If you want someone fun who can do just about anything you can imagine then go to Mindy! She is absolutely amazing and goes above and beyond. I am so happy I found her and Im always so excited to get my hair done. I feel incredible everytime I walk out of Bace.

Gina Rivas took my toddler son and he got a 5 minute haircut with a few nicks added in because it was so rushed. No fade, zero blending - just basically cut his hair to an 1/4 from his scalp and buzzed the back and sides. Paid extra for a line design, so total for his cut was $60. I left 2 stars because the line design was ok (not sharp though). I suspect the rush was because it was lunch time and as soon as he sat in the chair the food order came in the door. I will not be going back. Sad because my husband got good beard service here. Thank you for your quick response. I wanted to be clear that the pictures I attached to this review were taken on the day he got the cut, not more than an hour later. I dont have the best vision so didnt get a good look at it until we got home and I had my glasses. To be perfectly honest I had planned on calling that day but was so angry I decided to take a cooling off period. I am a fairly even tempered person so I decided it was best to chalk it up to a lesson learned. Google maps came up and asked me for this review so I posted it

Mariah Clayton Ive been seeing Alicia for all my hair needs since 2020, and I can definitely say she is a miracle worker. She has cut, styled, lightened, and highlighted my hair multiple times; theres no one else I would trust to give me the exact look I want. I am also extremely lazy when it comes to hair upkeep, so I only see her about once a year. Even so, shes been able to lighten and cut my hair in a way where it grows out smoothly with no harsh lines. Shes also very good at understanding her customers vision for their hair, even if the customer isnt quite sure what they want. I always get compliments on my hair since Ive started seeing her. Id want her to do my hair for the rest of my life if it was possible! NW Hair Studio is easily a 5-star establishment.

Christine Jackson Went to this place for the first time in July of 2021; all was great and Alicia is fantastic. She is personable and informative with questions about products. Her alone is 5 stars My issue is every time I called to make an appt their booked - great for them but the call basically ends there. At no point does the person say when the next available appointment is or ask for another day or time that works for me…zero questions or suggestions that would be natural and have come up for scheduling conflict situations with many other businesses have done either with me or I have witnessed do for others. Just makes it difficult to get in when there is no online scheduling.

Kelly Hilstad Alicia is very sweet, nice easy to talk to. She worked at a very steady pace, the time there about 4 or 5 ish hours seemed to go fast.. my hair looks and feels healthier, she blended in my regrowth and previous colors very nicely. Superb work. Will be back.

Angelina McCumber I should have done this last February when I got to experience Chong. I had a haircut, and she was extremely open to my suggestion, but she was also a great student of a clients character and knew what hair style would fit me as an individual. She did not rush at all. In fact, she took her time to make sure that my haircut was up to par. I wanted my hair colored, but she firmly explained to me that during that time, a perm would ruin my still dyed hair. She was definitely not all about the money. I consider her to be an artist and a very loving person because she even suggested that I can go somewhere else if I really wanted a perm because she cared more about how my hair should be taken care of so that it wont end up damaged. We spent the whole time talking about me. She is an empath, and for some reason, I opened up to her that day because I was going through something. She genuinely cared, and I felt seen and heard. She even drove me home! The next day, I asked if we could work on my haircut a bit more, and she was so gracious about it. Unlike other salons, she never charged me for extra work. I remember that she styled my hair because it was the weekend, and jokingly said that I deserve a "weekend look!" When I mentioned that I wish I could do the styling myself at home for special occasions but did not have the proper instrument, she had an extra one and gave it to me. I went to her salon to look good, but I ended up having a great relationship and went home knowing I had a new friend who might have my back if I needed her. I would like for you to receive the treatment she gave me! This is why I wrote a lengthy review.

Leslie Willmott I got a wonderful haircut at this salon. Its a lovely place ,clean and bright and the owner is very pleasant and skilled. I have curly hair and she gave me a great cut. I highly recommend this salon.

P S My first appointment with Chong. She cares if her client is happy. And pays attention to the details of her cut. Doesnt rush. I am happy I took a picture of what I wanted. She gave her input. Little bit of language barrier, but not enough to effect the great job she did. No hesitation to recommend Chong. Extremely reasonably priced, compared to other salons in this area.

Amber B. Went to this salon and absolutely love it. My daughter and I had our haircut and styled by Kenz. My daughter is 6 and has a hard time sitting still but Kenz was amazing with her and was able to give her a beautiful haircut. I changed my hair style as Ive had. the same haircut for about 15 years. Showed Kenz the picture and my hair is exactly what I showed her. This is our second time with Kenz cutting our hair and now I wont go anywhere else. Also the salon is beautiful and right on the water.

DOUG FAIRBANKS Great place! Gary(owner) is a great guy and knows his craft. Walk ins are welcome but I would advise an appointment. Theres an outside deck with a view of the water to enjoy while youre waiting or a waiting area with plenty of magazines.

Robert Boice I dont know which of the two women I dealt to, but she was incredibly rude and condescending. Apparently, if you are not a regular, you get treated like human garbage. Good luck with that business model; you are just one of hundreds of hair salons in Kitsap.

Robin Hadaller Ive been into see Ashley twice now. One for a hair cut and another time for a balayage and she is a rockstar. I will recommend her time and time again. She listened to what I was hoping to achieve, and did so much more than I couldve even imagined. My hair turned out amazing. She was great to chat with while sitting in her chair, very kind and overall a great atmosphere and such a cute shop! Thank you Ashley!

DUSTIN ROBILLARD The young man that did my cut was GREAT. The atmosphere is very upbeat with hip hop/rap playing in the background, a pool table you can play on while you wait. All in all, its a generally good vibe. My barber was very pleasant to talk to and was attentive to what I wanted done with my cut. I asked if be also did beard grooming, and he said yes. To wit, I got a great trim on that as well. Im a 50 year old man, and the barbers that were there were on the younger side (mine was 24 iirc) but I didnt feel at all out of place. The other barbers that were there were very cordial as well. They dont do appointments, which was fine for me. Total time for a month long needed cut and beard trim was about 35-45 minutes. The price was as to be expected ($50 total after 25% gratuity). Ill do my walk-ins here from now on. Sorry, no photo available.

4Ever Glam Kisses I drive to Bremerton from Fairwood for my hair & I think the photos can explain why. Mike & Melody are so skilled at what they do. My hair was previously so damaged and had a mullet-like chemical cut. They helped me create a look that got me back to feeling confident. They’re generous with their time and don’t make me feel like they’re fitting me in between other clients or potentially neglecting my hair while the developers process. If you are willing to commit to a certain look and you’re realistic about the time, cost, & limitations your look might require, then they’ll be a great addition to your pastel vivids transformation!

Boukhtin Elle “Kitty” Alissa has always done a great job cutting both my and my boyfriends hair. Shes super friendly and cuts conservatively which are fantastic traits in a stylus.

Morgan Denton I absoulutely LOVE Ross Michaels Salon. It has a fun, trendy vibe and there is more talent here than half of Kitsap County. I have never left a salon happier and Alexa was able to make my hair look better than I could have ever imagined.

mrblackvelvet09 As we all know one of the most important things about going to a new city is finding a barbershop that can accommodate you and ensure you stay FRESH. Having a clean cut is important for work, interviews, events or overall self esteem. It can be extremely daunting picking the right place. I took a chance on this shop and I was more than impressed. One of the best haircuts Ive gotten in years. I have to admit when I sat down I had that "new barber jitters" but I left relieved and completely satisfied. Darcy is the TRUTH! Her years of experience in cutting hair shine through. I described to her what I wanted and she went above and beyond to meet my request. I was so thankful for her timely cut and I couldnt be more satisfied with how well she did. Im truly thankful. 10/10 would recommend.

Efrain Rain Vargas I haven’t had my haircut in the US for almost 13 years, and I decided to visit Uptown Barbershop. I love my Barber back home in Japan, but DAMN if Darcy didn’t give me one of the finest haircuts of my life! These ladies are definitely masters of their craft!

Steven Bergeaux Edit: I respect that you all have been cutting hair for a long time. Ive also been requesting this same cut from barbers up and down the west coast for a long time. It has never been left that long, including after my first visit with the same request. "Completely silent" may have been a slight exaggeration, though the attempts at conversation were cold and curt. Again, Ive been in a lot of barber shops. I know when theres a comfortable silence and when the vibes arent right. I didnt feel comfortable asking Lana to cut more. She seemed like she wanted to go home. That makes more sense now that you mention it was the end of the shift. The fade and cut lasted 11 minutes. If not for the music, it was completely silent - no one speaking to each other. The cut was pretty good, but my hair was left long enough that my wife asked if it was cut at all.

Spencer Fain Ever had two stylists laughing and giggling at you while saying your hair looks bad, while a third is just trying to do her job and cut your hair? If you crave that experience you have come to the right place. My stylist was fine, the other two were disgustingly unprofessional.

Strawberry Jones Juvy was incredible, patient, and so friendly! She even wished me luck on my big job interview. And guess what, Juvy, I got the job!

Williams Brandy (Brandy Williams Author) I am so happy to have found Juvie. She gave me exactly the cut I asked for. She was quick too! I was in and out in no time. Shes being careful about COVID-19 protocols which I really appreciated. I will definitely go back to her again.
